Another reason to Like Stevie Johnson....
Heitz replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ho-ly awesome. Stevie Styles got flows... -
Close by, down in Bradford... There are a few here on TBD and there is always a good contingency at the bar on Sunday. They're just about to open a Buffalo Wild Wing within walking distance from my condo - stoked. BTV is a great little city, highly recommended for a visit or a move!

Just trying to organize some of the Bills fans in the Burlington, VT area so we can be ready for the 2010 season. Stop by and "Like" my unofficial Bills Backers page, then during the season we'll eat wings and drink Labatt Blue's like we're kings! No whiners... http://www.facebook.com/pages/Buffalo-Bill...121199171238921 (Scott - feel free to move this to Off the Wall if that's where it should live)

- Doesn't Nix get a lot of credit for helping SD rebuild through the draft? From what I've read about and heard from the guy, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I think that he and Chan are going to bring fundamental football to Buffalo - mistake free, tough play on both sides of the ball. - Most coaches get fired along the way, it's part of the gig. If anything Gailey has shown consistently that he can score, I think we will run and we will score some TD's. I'm not saying I would have done the same thing, but we seem to have some direction. For the first time in a long time, I feel like we're not just going to look like unprepared chumps out on the field. Chan's at least not going to let that happen. Play solid, throw in a home run hitter like Spiller and you never know what might happen. If we land and LT like Gaither before training camp, I think we might be a little surprise some teams this year...

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-player-inter...ght-Chan-Gailey It doesn't show it here, but on the TV show Jaime Dukes roasts us, 'course that guy's an idiot. Seriously though, Gailey makes a lot of sense in what he's saying, if we can just play tough, smart football we CAN win some games. I don't understand how people can't get behind what the organization is trying to build...

Sources: Texans' Cushing Suspended for 4 Games
Heitz replied to McBeane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He just issued a statement with Jay Glazer http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/brian-c...-steroid-050810 Says he didn't take a steroid, Glazer is going to be on Sirius at 3:00. Cushing trains at Glazer's MMA training school too, hence the scoop I guess. Ross Tucker said if it's not a roid, it's probably a masking agent. Should be an interesting interview... -
For those that don't get Twitter, download TweetDeck and run a search for #Bills, you'll see every Bills related post out there (or at least the ones people tag). It's kinda fun to watch a "real time" conversation about the team. I also follow buffalo sports writers, all the current players with accounts plus Thurman and Talley; I've actually had a couple back and forths with Thurman - as a fan, that seems pretty neat... I'm @hunterheitz A few for a late #FF @aaronmaybin58 @adam_schefter @brianmoorman @buddygm @buffalobillscom @darryltalley @dontewhitner @draytonflorence @jairusbyrd31 @john_wawrow @leeevans83 @lightning28 @loriTBD @richeisen @shawnnelson89 @si_rosstucker @terrellowens @thurmanthomas @timgrahamespn @twobillsdrive Did I miss anyone good?

Heh - and that's what I'm talking about, community my friend, community. I'm dragging some of Vermont with me to the opener this year too! Did I mention a Buffalo Wild Wings is moving in within walking distance of my place? Yeah, Sunday's just got a little better...
-
It takes place this weekend doesn't it? Here's the update from CJ "Jst touchdown in BLo heading to stadium guess got get physical in before mini camp, but I'm pumped ab this wknd btw it's great weather here"

Scott and TSW helped changed the game in NFL team / fan relations back in those early days! Not to mention the rogue crew of Buffalo Bills that have all united under one roof... So Scotty and all the mods, thanks for all you do! Scott, maybe you can throw up a PayPal link, people can donate what they want for a few months and then at the home opener you can award the mods with cool cash money. However it's done, I'm down to donate.

When will cheap old man Wilson learn that this is no way to build a football team! We don't need scouts, we need the best FA lineman (with high name recognition) out there!
-
I mean, they DO work in the NFL for a living - how many people on TBD do? I trust their opinion of who can and can't do what over yours or most others on here...

Fwiw my friend / client was at a meeting and dinner with several of the Jets and coach Ryan. He said the santonio just sat there looking like he wanted to be anywhere else and wasn't very friendly to the fans that were there. He said it was a big contrast to say Revis who was super cool, talkative and friendly. Let's hope that the poor attitude continues into the locker room!
-
yup, per Schefter's twitter Of this I'm sure: Thomas wants two cracks at Pats this year RT @mortreport: Know it's out there but yes, Jets are discussing Adalius Thomas. It'll be interesting to see if Ryan can bring all of those players together in NY...

Lets just say the Bills pick #1 next year

Lets Cheer Marshawn onto a Probowl this season......

Let's cheer Marshawn on to Green Bay... -
This team can go 8-8 this year...if not better.
Heitz replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I completely agree - On Any Given Sunday. To your points: 1. I fully expect to see this team come out with a new attitude. "Football is a tough game for tough people." - no more soft Jauron teams or slow start to the season. 2. If the D players we got in the draft can at least contribute, not even start full time, we should be better. Let's hope that Byrd continues to pick apples this year! I have total faith in Gailey's O, at least you KNOW we'll be running the heck out of the ball. The line and passing game are still a worry, but hopefully Chan can find ways to protect and keep teams on their toes with the run... 3. Again, attitude - I think we'll play tough football for 60 full minutes. I would also add that I like that we have our entire division in the first four weeks of the season. It might give us a chance to sneak up on the them a bit. Let's hope that Chan follows through on making the Ralph a tough place to play again - tough football, crazed fans! I'll be there to make it scary for the fins, game 1!! Go Bills! -
No grades here, but a good recap. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/4/24/...l-draft-buffalo Interesting that it says Gailey has been intrigued with Brown for a while... I like what we did this year, some projects, but we're building toward an end goal for once!
-
Jim Miller was just talking up the Brown pick, said the Bills liked Lafaver (sp), but ended up with their second choice. Big measurables, Gailey might be able to do some special things with him.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2010/profiles/mar...asley?id=497286 Easley is a very raw talent who struggled on the bench for three years before bursting on the scene during his senior year at UConn. He has a rare combination of size and straight-line speed and can make acrobatic catches. The problem is Easley does not appear to trust his hands and will not only drop some catchable passes but tends to let the ball get into his body to trap it rather than reach out to pluck it. He is a bit of a strider and will need a lot of work on getting in and out of his breaks. The nice thing is that he has a good chance to see some action on special teams. He was a core special-teams performer at UConn during his first three years as he tried to earn a scholarship.

Not trading Lynch just cost us Bruce Campbell

Can't believe there's not more freaking out! A raw WR that's a good special teamer... -
Positive article. File as inaccurate / close thread.

Why would the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel be the foremost source on this? Make a lot of sense...
