Schobel will make his decision in 10 days...
Heitz replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would argue that Schobel is nothing like Brett - Favre was / is the QB, the KEY guy on the field for the O. It's a lot easier to move on without one DE / OLB than it is your starting QB. And as for the TC hold-out, I would rather have some Schobel on the Bills, than none! -
Exactly - at some point it *is* news whether we like it or not. I wasn't complaining when the Bills were getting a little coverage last year for signing T.O. Was it overkill? Yes. Did I care? Nope. At some point I just turned the channel... Starting tomorrow we'll have our own news to get caught up in!

Good call, and hopefully along the same lines will be Overall Conditioning! I just don't see Gailey's guys running out of gas in the 4th quarter of a big game. Doesn't mean we're going to win 'em all, but I think we'll have a better chance.
-
I'm going to say we'll have a top 5 rushing attack this year. Not sure if we land in the playoffs, but we will gain respect under Gailey and crew... Going into next year TBD will light up with "we're going to win the Super Bowl" posts by the same kooks predicting we'll finish dead last in the league this year...

Interesting quote from Byrd: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...d0-5391d0172a33 “There are a lot of different things in this defense. We’ll be making other teams think more instead of just being here and here and being so mundane,” he said. “We’ll be switching things up a lot pre-snap with moving around. It should be good.” Sounds like the same problems that the O was having last year. It all points to Jauron not being able to control the whole show... I wanted to see the guy succeed (i.e. the Bills win), but I'm sure not sad that he's gone!

Brady missed OTA's mandatory mini camp AND will be the 5th QB signed, therefore he's the 5th best QB on the depth chart...

Trent one of the "strongest arms in the NFL"

Also, Marshawn Lynch is the third best back on the Bills. Thanks. -

This must all be green screen... Pretty amazing though, regardless of what you think of Trent. -
WHICH RECEIVER IS THE MOST LIKELY TO ACHIEVE SOME SUCCESS

Speaking of Roscoe, looks like he's putting in some work: http://twitpic.com/21ccjz -
Congrats to Ralph, Russ & Buddy...seriously

This article deserves it's own thread - I can't help but love what the new front office is building here in Buffalo. At least they have a freaking *plan* and are sticking to it. I'm not sure that can be said for the groups that were here for the past 10 years or so... -
Wait, this is a crime..? One they actually *bust* people for??

Giants' disgruntled LT might be worth keeping an eye on.

Yes, we know. And Trent Edwards sucks. We get it dude... -

http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...fa-602ae77c45d7 Watching this you can't help but get a *little* excited for this year (even if you're super pessimistic). Just having a competent head coach and staff should make us a better team! I really like the way that Chan is THE leader of the O, no talking to multiple people that aren't on the same page, no single formation watered down plays, no no-huddle. I really think that we're going to surprise this year - I'm not claiming playoffs, but I'm not ruling them out either, Any Given Sunday... There's also a new clip up on 'Scoe too: http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...b9-3cc072d2e311

People felt it up here in Burlington, VT too. I guess I was too busy with lunch to feel it...

My God, look at the wobble on the deep ball attempts...
Heitz replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OMG the wobble on the 40 yarder from Brohm at 1:54 and then non-wobble dart two passes later from Edwards. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...5d-e3594688c2aa But, but I thought that Trent had the wobbles and Brohm the dart. Could it be everything I've read here is potentially *wrong*!? Maybe we shouldn't judge the QB's by three freaking clips a day. Let it play out, thankfully Gailey and crew are making the calls... -

Players these days must love the daily video updates - something for fans to B word about / praise all year round! -
Love semantics debates. Rookie or not, I did like that Gailey called him a "amazing athlete" - it at least sounds like he believes that Bell can be a player. Guess we'll see. More than anything, watching that clip got me fired up about Gailey. I'm not sure how anyone could not like what the guy is saying. We always need more good players. We're building through fundamentals and techniques. Strength and conditioning are important. We need to play smart. When listening to the guy, you just know that's he's a *football guy*, I'm actually really excited to see the next couple years take us under Chan and crew...
-
He's a bust - show me one thing he's done in this league! Wait, the only thing he's done is sign a contract. Way to suck up cheap old man Wilson's money, dude. Relying on your 0% completion rate in the NFL, getting by on your nice hair... Trade him and Marshawn to Baltimore for Gaither, it makes sense for both teams!!
-
I just liked reading this: “Everything speeds up in the red zone and you have to practice that on a regular basis or you don’t get a feel for that,” said Gailey. “You’re trying to introduce the base concepts right now, but as time goes on because we’ll continue to practice that on a regular basis. A lot of games are won and lost in the red zone.” Amazing - maybe we'll know what to do when we get in the red zone this year...

Article about Demetrius Bell
Heitz replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really makes you wonder what the hell they were thinking last year... Hopefully Chan can mold something out of the guy, if not, we're in some trouble. Not insurmountable trouble, but trouble. -
Edwards comments were pretty good too - sounds like he wants to work and get better to me. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...1e-e3021565560b Funny that he called out Fairchild by name (in a conversation about consistency in coordinators, to be fair). He also talked about how we run the same plays out of the same formations and it g0t pretty predictable. Sounds like Chan knows how to disguise plays and understands that certain plays can build off one another. Amen! Trent also mentioned having one guy at the helm. Last year must have been a real clusterf...

Did you guys catch the recap on bb.com? http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...e9-f72d34fc27cc Amazing, did I see Trent throw two deep balls? lol. Seems good to seem 'em back on the field, I say! Knowledge baby, Knowledge.

Yup, we're saying the same thing I just laugh off all of these preseason rankings - no one knows how any of our QBs are going to perform with our new schemes, Oline, spiller, discipline from Gailey, injuries, Buffalo wind - there are only a million variables...
-
So having not played a game in 2010 our QBs are ranked worst in the league? Okaaaaay...
