  1. FWIW, Sirius is broadcasting live from camp starting at 3 - bummer for the media I guess. Or maybe this *was* a planned move by Nix / Gailey
  2. Wonder if they'll report on now that today's early session was canceled? Maybe the Bills *were* just waiting to sign C.J. to make a good show for Sirius
  3. And from BB.com: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3..._medium=twitter
  4. Saw this on Twitter: http://www.fanfeedr.com/nfl/2010/08/04/defensive-upper-hand
  5. FINALLY a thread on Schobel! o_O Normally I would say "It's called search, try it" but since the whole front page is full a Schobel threads I'll "they're called you're eyes, don't be afraid to use them"
  6. He must read TBD - I feel the same way
  7. Totally - my hair is gray enough worrying about my OWN job Don't get me wrong, I'm (overly?) passionate about the Bills - I read all I can, I browse the boards, I post on occasion, but for stuff like this I know that it's going to play out the way it does, so I don't freak out. He's either going to play for the Bills (my preference, for the record) or not (the most likely outcome) - either way, my day rolls on...
  8. Ironic you would call PTR out for snarky comments when your first comment is "This organization is a sick joke" without a full understanding of the comments made on both sides... As for predictions, why make one? Or maybe why stick to one viewpoint, from one article (not surprisingly the one that supports your belief that the organization is "a joke")? Why get your panties all in a bunch? Either Aaron will be released, or traded, or not. We'll all find out over the next few weeks. Nothing about that makes the Bills a sick joke, it just is what it is. Take time to let scenarios play themselves out before freaking out, it'll make life way less stressful...
  9. Clearly it's just that simple.
  10. Except for this: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/08/02/n...ear-on-schobel/ Which seems to make it clear that what you posted ain't quite the truth...
  11. From Schefter's Twitter: "Whispers: Eric Berry getting closer to a deal...Suh is not...Trent Williams deal not far away....and these deals will really pick up now." And a chart of signings to the minute: http://backseatfan.com/2010/04/2010-nfl-dr...signing-status/ Let's hope that C.J.'s deal gets done soon! I would be he's in this weekend...
  12. Pic of Maybin from today: http://www.fanfeedr.com/nfl/2010/07/29/buf...ll-training-cam
  13. Chan is the man! From today... http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...75-8010f277182d
  14. I second the motion. As a marketing guy, that would be the FIRST thing I push for if I work for the Bills.
  15. Just reading the first story coming out of mini camp, just those few new quotes and insights on our team, I sort of felt the roller coaster start moving forward... Not sure where this one will end, but I really have a feeling that it's going to be a fun year. We'll be at least competent and will earn some respect around the league. To a great 2010
  16. Ice is a genuine concern, he hasn't stopped in and ranted yet - do you think his head exploded maybe? And Marshawn Lynch is the third best RB on the roster. As always, I look at the QB situation this way - Chan and Buddy are in charge, they know a hell of a lot more about the NFL and pro player personnel than I do. Plus, they've actually, you know, been working with the players; I'm going to go with what they say... I think that Trent can be at *least* a serviceable QB that Chan can use to win while we build. Draft in a year or two if we have to. OR he can be the franchise guy we all hope we can find. Trent was at a pretty big disadvantage the past couple years, might as well give him a year with this staff to see if he's the guy. None of us know what's going to happen yet, but I'm (as always) excited to see what the season brings! Let's Go Buffalo!!
  17. Interesting, GRZ says Fitz is getting second reps in individual drills...
  18. Ha - that's funny both Stanford and Louisville are Cardinals - guess nelson is clever...
  19. Per Dave Nelson's Twitter "Yes, for all you asking ?s, they have announced the starting QB (for right now at least) Quick lunch break & then off to the first practice!" "Yea here's your hint. His colleges mascot is the same as the mascot of the place holding our training camp" Cardinals = Brohm!
  20. lol As a guy who knows a pro snowboarder or two, I'm pretty sure that binging IS an Olympic sport. Or it's at least part of the training routine. Perhaps an event change is in order? Agree about the tea-totlers though. Re. The Bills - I bet everyone's questions will be answered over the next few months, starting tomorrow...
  21. Not sure how anyone could argue against what they're trying to do here. It's going to be interesting to see if they can make it happen - and it all starts tomorrow! Loved the quotes at the end: ''It's all business and no jacking around,'' defensive lineman Chris Kelsay said. ''They want to win. They want to win now.'' That was part of the message when Gailey removed the big-screens in March. ''No TVs,'' added running back Fred Jackson. ''He kind of felt like it was a spa in there. He wants us to go in there and work out. And I think that's what they're trying to nail home. Guys are buying into that.'' Here's to hoping we win now
  22. Oh Balderdash! Mr. Wawrow, clearly you have the disadvantage of your "personal contact" with said athlete. Put simply, you're blind. As a full-time Professional Expert, I can assure you that we, the Citizens of the Internet, are much better at understanding the subtleties of what a journalist wrote that an athlete said, than the journalist having the actual conversation. Trust me sir, Aaron Schobel is taking us all for a ride - he simply wants to miss camp and / or ultimately, force a trade, just like Brett Farve. And come this season Schobel will get his trade wish and be in Miami throwing TD's against the Bills as we're swept once again by the Dolphins... I know this, because I've *read the quotes* (without interjecting any conjecture, I should add). Have you? GOOD DAY SIR. M
  23. Many of them good, ALL of them theories...
  24. If it makes you guys feel any better, Schobel is sorry for irritating you "I know I'm probably annoying people, but you've got to be 100% committed to this," Schobel said. "I apologize to the people I've irritated. But I guess I can't please everyone." http://www.fanfeedr.com/nfl/2010/07/28/bil...i-apologize-to- And I agree, Aaron might not have 10 sacks this year, but guess what, he might. The point is no one knows how he's going to play in this D. If Nix and Gailey say he can come back if and when he asks to, I have no problem with it...
  25. How is he turning into a diva? He's not ranting and demanding anything, he's just not sure if he wants to play anymore (and that seems to be mostly because he hates training camp). Give it 10 days and we'll know more...
