  1. Yeah, I guess I just disagree. Give me the guy that working hard throughout camp, that's catching everything that's thrown his way and that actually IS making plays vs. a guy who someday, because he was good in college, MIGHT make plays. As for saying Hogan will "never develop into more than he is", that's just not something you can predict. Look at Stevie, a late round pick that developed into more than he was by working his ass off (#HBHF). Hogan had a good off-season last year, almost making a roster and looks to have improved on that enough this year to make a roster (maybe, of course) And I'm not saying his attitude would bring the team down, but the coaches unfair treatment of "production" vs "potential development" is where I think it gets sticky. Marrone is preaching hard work and a fair chance to make the team - I just don't see how you put the guy that's constantly not paying attention and screwing around on the team...
  2. But, dude, it's so much more fun to cry about things that we can't change. How do people on this board handle adversity at work? Sometimes things don't go as planned, but you adjust, move on with what you have and hope for the best (and that you're Sr Management has trained you to handle the situation). You don't curl into ball and give-up... BTW, I'm still smiling - hell I just gave a guy walked down the hall here at JFK a big 'ol "LET'S GO BUFFALO!" when I spotted his Bills T! Smile and the world smiles with you...
  3. So you're going to give a guy that hasn't put in the work, that doesn't pay attention and that hasn't made any plays "an extended chance"? What message does that send to the other players grinding hard to make the team? "Oh well, no matter how hard I work, the guy with the potential wins". Sorry, but Marrone doesn't operate this way... I just don't get the man love for Rogers. People on this board need to listen to more GR55 - Murph, pre-game and post-games always provide insight on players. As has been mentioned, Chris Brown, Joe B and others who have been at practice every day have repeatedly commented on Rogers' gaffes and lack of effort. After the game last week the first 3 callers we're whining to Sal that they were sad Rogers didn't get on the filed - eventually he basically said "shut up, the guy didn't put in the effort and doesn't deserve to be on the field." It's pretty much that simple...
  4. But the bridge *could* be out there (and it might be down!) - best to just pull the car over, get out and forget about driving... We all know its ONLY about the destination, not the journey
  5. Clearly drafting two QBs is the only thing that could make this crowd happy (or bringing back Fitz which wasn't going to happen in a "new beginning" year). Of course, had we drafted Nassib as our second QB we would STILL be screwed with the preseason he's having... And for everyone saying "Kolb is fragile" and despite having two previous concussions he still had to get hit hard enough for his brain to bash into his skull. It wasn't like he got a love tap and was carted off.
  6. For those freaking over the lack of first downs (or general proficiency) of the O, you do know an undrafted rookie QB was at the helm for most of the game, right? Everyone knows how hard it is for a rookie QB - even one drafter first overall. I dare say no team wins many games with Tuel at QB and Choice at RB...
  7. Exactly - Marrone said as much. I don't think they expect either Beck or Leinart to replace Kolb, just to have someone to throw balls... We just need to pray that EJ comes back by week one. I doubt that a concussion will keep Kolb out two weeks.
  8. Better question - are we still *actually* alive? There were a LOT of people on ledges last night...
  9. I've heard this a ton (mostly from Theismann during the NFLN broadcast - shut up dude) and while it's true, it's true for any offense. If you get 0 first downs in a half, your D is gonna get worn down...
  10. Sal on WGR talked about the Bills playing a more vanilla D in the first half. When they dialed up more pressure in the second half, they got sacks. Still a worrying performance, but maybe it wasn't the D we'll see in the season..
  11. Seemed to say "poopie threw" - hard to argue... Pretty funny!
  12. The only positive is that maybe now people will shut up about Teul being the starter. Especially if he's forced to be the starter!
  13. What's up with that? What's up with thaaaaaat? No clue, but they had better get it together. At least this one doesn't count on the record...
  14. Holy cow - he was stopped in the backfield for a sec.
  15. He was grabbing his knee - let me add a Nooooooo!
  16. Just reading this made my hangover this morning worse. Maybe I need a warm Genny to fix me up
  17. It all makes so much sense. Colon Doc was my guess, seeing at there are no dispensaries in Buffalo yet...
  18. Let's hope. It's just like the initial "There is acrimony between the Byrd and the Bills" - I've only seen that reported by (or reports based off of) one person. Not even sure what "Byrd is mad at the Bills" means. So no more Wednesday Nexflix Night at Russ Brandon's house? No more tailgating with Ralph on the bye week? He can't be mad at the coaching staff, they don't do the deals...
  19. Interesting - on Sirius this morning they said that per an ESPN report the Bills are trying to trade Byrd! Has anyone seen that report out there??
