  1. As has been discussed, a few of those drops would have helped the overall yardage situation... A few more numbers for this thread of numbers: 286 yards was good for 24th in total O this week: http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&offensiveStatisticCategory=GAME_STATS&conference=ALL&role=TM&season=2013&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=TOTAL_YARDS_GAME_AVG&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-n=1 EJ was number 8 in QB rating: http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=1&season=2013&seasonType=REG&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&statisticPositionCategory=QUARTERBACK&d-447263-s=PASSING_PASSER_RATING&qualified=true Fred Jackson no 10 in rushing (CJ # 26): http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&statisticPositionCategory=RUNNING_BACK&d-447263-s=RUSHING_YARDS&tabSeq=1&season=2013&experience=&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&qualified=true (and even harder to believe, there were only two 100+ yard rushers in week 1!)
  2. Windy and dark at The Ralph currently, though I see hope on the horizon. I also see another High Life into future...
  3. Lets Go Buffalo - bout to hop outta this RV and crack a cold one! I think I'll start with the #78 this am (34 yesterday) and move into a #13 for game time... If Saturday is any indication, The Ralph is going to be rocking today!!
  4. After several beers, meals and games of skill I'm about to call it. The RV lot is still parting on! Gotta say, there's nothing like The Ralph on a Saturday nigtht - just waiting for amazing to happen. It's a special spot for sure... Lets Go Buffalo! A little over 12 hours...
  5. Sitting in the RV lot now playing Monopoly Deal (awesome card game if ya don't know it). Rain's been coming down for a while now, but it seems like it's not stopping the party... The line for the lot this AM was as big as I've (and several others) have seen. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a loud one - people can't wait for the new look Bills!
  6. i can't believe that the foot thing isn't brought up more. I mean he had it last year and took "a couple shots" the Bills knew that his foot could be an issue. And it is. In the end who knows what they offered, but I don't blame them for making him the highest paid player at his position...
  7. On a sunny, mid-70's Sunday, in lovely Orchard Park, NY the Buffalo Bills, led by EJ Manuel, CJ Spiller and an aggressive new Defensive unit will upset the Pats 28 - 21 sending shockwaves through pundits' heads everywhere...
  8. I absolutely love EJ, he's just so even keeled at all times. He just doesn't have a big head on his shoulders, he's a hard worker and he *expects* to be great. I loved when they asked who was going to be there "My Dad and my Mom." "Not a huge crowd?" "No sir." I'm SO stoked I'm going to be there on Sunday to see him step on the field for his first game as one of us. Where else would you rater be... If as a Bills fan, 4 days before the season (and home) opener, you're STILL not excited to see this team play, you've got a case of the Batsh*t Crazies!
  9. As an unabashed Pumpkins fan this made me smile....
  10. Sooooooo, it's $100 and you get Madden AND the $300 Direct TV online package? http://www.directv.c...national-market Yes please. Also, huge bummer it's not going to be on PS3 this year. Looks like HDMI to the TV from a laptop for me too!
  11. They're strippers - just start tossing money and they'll flock like the salmon of Capistrano.
  12. Marvez on how the Gilmore injury hurts us: http://msn.foxsports...patriots-082713 But, "Bad News Bills"? I mean coooooome onnnnnnnn. Also, it's funny when I read an article full of Marrone quotes I actually hear his voice and read it in his syncopation...
  13. I will be there with beers on! In fact, this will be the third annual Home Opener RV trip... Me a couple friends are driving from VT and picking up an RV in East Aurora on Friday, rolling to the RV lot at 8am on Saturday and grilling and chilling until the game, then returning the RV and to VT on Monday. If you've never done the RV thing at a game, it's totally worth it - so many good people over there and there's nothing liking hanging out across from The Ralph all day Saturday! Good people, food, drinks and lawn games. And RVs through a certain national RV rental chain are less than $500 for the weekend - divide by four (or more) and it's the least expensive place you can stay. Definitely going to swing by the TBD tailgate and naturally TBD is welcome to stop by VT-RV for a nice cold Miller High Life! Oh and despite The Worst 48 Hours In the History Of The Bills, I am still more fired up than ever! Those that go to Bills games ONLY for a win are missing the forest for the trees...
  14. The Sirius interview with Mike Leach on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.c...f-tuels-college (edit) There's a LOUD Sirius ad at the beginning and end of the clip; nice of them to put it out, but holy cow. Paging The Senator...
  15. Also... How does the new stadium bag policy tie into Brandon's desire to lose? And they always take FA's to Tempo, what's up with that? And just who IS this suspicious cab drive that Berman always refers to? And once, in the 90's, they had a Marlboro billboard in the stadium but *you couldn't smoke* in the stadium - it... made... no... sense... Explain yourself Mr. Brandon, explain yourself!
  16. Ha - right back at ya, one of my favorite flicks of all time for sure. I went as Duder one Halloween, wore a robe, drank Caucasians, great time! Also, pursuant to the subject of the thread (and The Dude, I guess), I also very much enjoy relaxing.
  17. Here's something we can be happy about - everyone wanted the Bills to get more coverage on NFLN and ESPN, well, we're getting it. ESPN was talking Bills earlier and NFLN just did a nice long segment on the Bills including an optimistic look at Tuel (or they at least didn't use the word "doomed"). One thing's for sure, it's going to be a wild ride to week one and I'm gonna enjoy it... to the positivity thread!
  18. From Murph @johnmurphyshow': More on QB Thad Lewis from @viccarucci of the Browns tonight at 815pm on the show. Should be a good listen...
  19. Does this mean we have to take back all those "good luck in whatever's next" posts? Glad to hear things seem as good as they can be. Surprised the protocol would keep him out for "some time" - I would have guessed a couple weeks, but the NFL isn't messing around with the concussions! Makes me think of all the times I've cracked my head snowboarding, skating or riding my bike...
  20. ^^^ boom Heck didn't one of our defenders yell at Rogers for giving up on a block on a play?
  21. Well, after three years I guess there is no "suddenly" - but I hear ya. And I don't necessarily agree. Just because it hasn't happened for him in two seasons doesn't mean that it won't. At least he putting in the work, paying attention and trying to make it happen, doesn't sound to me that Rogers was will do to that... Just like everything in the NFL, time will tell. But if this were me I take the hard worker that's buying to my system, over the guy with potential that is always horsing around.
