  1. Yup, one of our our best run defenders (and all around Defensive players this year) goes out and we can't stop the run. Must be the coach...
  2. All I know for sure is that If it's not the Bills, then our new owners are in over their heads and moving WAY too slow and if it is the Bills our new owners are jumping in WAY too fast and are incompetent. Mark it down now...
  3. They should be in Indy RIGHT NOW interviewing Hue at halftime! What's wrong with these people!?!
  4. They're all over this at the Buffalo News: My only question is what the hell is on the hard drive the guy dropped into Terry's bag!?!
  5. Hue for me, though I can live w Schwartz depending on who he brings in to run the O...
  6. “He is the definition of average,” said a Buffalo source. - now THERE'S a quote for ya
  7. I like the resume: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hue_Jackson His O, with Schwartz's D could be nice...
  8. True and he admitted as much, he definitely wasn't speaking as an "insider". I think just a combo of his perspective on the situation (watching from Cleveland) and what he's been hearing since back in Buffalo. Good guy, glad he's back covering the Bills - especially because he's on Sirius all the time and always talks Bills
  9. Well, boom, there you go - gracias BTW, Whaley has the worst Wiki page ever: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Whaley
  10. Just that it was a reach, certainly not a sure thing. If it works, they look great, if not they're most likely out of a job, so swing for the fences... Pretty interesting day, lots of talk about coach's power grabs over GMs.
  11. Vic is on Sirius this afternoon (along with Dan Leberfeld), they started with a lot of Bills, Jets, Marrone talk... Carucci said Marrone got the out clause because the group that was in charge (Whaley, Brandon, et. al.) knew Ralph was in poor health and wanted to swing for the fences and get their guy. Marrone has a savvy vet agent who realized the situation and was able to negotiate hard. He also said Cleveland was offering Marrone more money, so the Bills countered with the clause. Pretty much as reported here He also said that Marrone and Whaley were not on the same page personnel-wise and went so far as to say Whaley was reckless with the drafting of EJ, the trade for Sammy, etc. Leberfeld on the other hand said that while he thinks Marrone should be a candidate for the Jets job to basically stop the process to just hire him is crazy!
  12. I felt the same way - of course the other three hours was a circular conversion on how we're already botching the process because we're moving too fast, too slow, interviewing "the same guys that the other teams with opening are", that we're not flying the Pegulacopter to see the hot college coaches. Oy. I forgot to mention, TWICE in the interview Clayton said that Whaley came from Seattle's organization so he's familiar with both of those asst. coaches. Um, ok?
  13. Clayton was on with Schopp and The Bulldog last night and talked about Polian, there were a few interesting points... He said Polian was going to come in to run the ENTIRE football operation, he said that he would have brought AJ Smith in (though I didn't catch if he said as GM or Pro Personnel) - basically he would have been running the show on the Football side. Where it got interesting was one of the GR guys brought up that when he changed his mind (after Marrone left) Polian backed off from the job because he didn't want the "heavy lifting" (presumably of a coaching search). They pointed out that it just seems odd that a coaching search would be too much heavy lifting, but running the entire football ops wouldn't be. I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in between on this whole Polian thing, it's all a power play in the NFL! I think we dodged a bullet on this one, but that all depends on who we bring in as the next coach!
  14. Impressive resume - the more I read, the more I like the guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hue_Jackson Especially if we can keep Schwartz too...
  15. And for the record, this wasn't Bills radio it was national Sirius - just so happened that Vic and a former Bills player were on. Good thing too, I had listened to Shopp and the Bulldog on GR for a couple hours first, I could feel myself getting dumber
  16. I was going mostly by Sirius, WGR and Twitter, not sure there's an official list, we can't be interviewing every candidate I've seen on TBD, can we be?
  17. Pretty good overview here: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2014/12/29/top-coaching-candidates-for-nfl-openings/21023535/
  18. I was listening to Sirius on my long ass drive home tonight and caught a lot of Late Hits with Vic Carucci and former Bill Kirk Morrison. The opened talking about the Bills situation and talked a bit about the Head Coach interview process. We're talking to a ton of coaches, and obviously it's a chance for the Pegula's to "interview coaches" (obviously), but it's also a chance for them to get a ton of insight on the state of their franchise and the NFL game as a whole. By asking what coaches think of our players, or what their philosophies are, who they might bring in as assistants, the Pegula's are going learn a lot. Vic made the point that while the stability of Marrone for another year or two might have been preferred, this is actually a really GOOD process for the Pegula's to go through this early in their ownership. Can't wait to see where we end up!
  19. I think I'd be on board with this hire... Kirwan and Miller were praising him on Sirius tonight. This is funny: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000431392/article/raiders-fans-take-out-ad-to-hire-hue-jackson-in-2015 http://www.bringbackhuejackson.com/ Like this Maybe he can fix EJ's game?
  20. Call it a gin storm - it IS New Year's Eve! Most Unique, let's be PC, it is almost 2015
  21. BP4E, you are definitely setting the record for "most random threads posted in first 50 posts". I look forward to tomorrow's threads "Author that penned odes to Kamil Loud", or "Tolliver, Hobert, or Armstrong - YOUR favorite Billy Joe" Re. Hardy: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2014/05/05/former-nfl-player-james-hardy-arrested/
  22. I swear, it's like some of you don't even read TBD - eball, when will you learn TBD is waaaaaay closer to what's actually going on in the organization than the players, coaches and front office? Also,
  23. Well, not yet, but NEXT time! Assuming I invent the next big thing, of course.
