Posted this yesterday - file it under fan fiction. Like many, I bristle at the thought of the "media" writing an article that is essentially "how to appease the media". Duh Bills, just be wide open and tell us exactly what you're really thinking - just like all great NFL organizations, right! Wait, I'm told NO sports organizations do this, my bad. Should TBD at least start a Kickstarter page to by the media some steak sandwiches? I feel like the hidden message in that article was "free lunch goes a long way." (or, in 2017 the media no longer gets paid enough to afford their own lunch).

Funny that it happened so under the radar, after all the "front runner" chatter! Would be an interesting, young choice. Unknown with potential to grow (or fail, I guess)...

To some fans (you and I, perhaps) nothing it obvious, but to many posters EVERYTHING is completely obvious! Has anyone called the Bills jerks for letting us whip ourselves into a 37 page frenzy about something that isn't even true!? The NERVE of them! Don't they know we preemptively thought of all the reasons to hate this hire for his failures? All this time wasted... Someone go though and pull out all the choice "ways to fail" that we can apply to whomever is eventually hired.

I don't know if I can whip myself into enough of a panic with this take - I'm going to go re-read the OPs post, then hit the Preemptive Panic Button!

He can now add "Fiction Writer" to his resume. Typically in a reimagining of current events the author gives some nods beyond just the word "Imagining" in the headline. At least give me a "I had a daydream the other day..." at the start, or end it with "...and then I woke up, safe in my bed knowing that the Bills were still worst professional sports franchise / providers of lunch EVER!" For the sake of full transparency, I did go pick up a steak sub for lunch after reading the article, so S/O to Schopp for promoting a little business for Waf's Westside Deli...

Seems like a thinly veiled plot to get free steak subs...

Interestingly, was listening to Sirius and one of the hosts (an ex-GM? Wish I could remember who) went off on some teams using search firm consonants to pick a HC or GM (I believe they were riffing off the Jax hires). Mentioned a team a few years ago that paid $250k to come up with "the same old names". That said, there's nothing in what Pegs said that leads me to believe they hired outside help. By all accounts they knew they were going to fire Rex several weeks before the end of season, so they probably started to do their DD then. It wouldn't take a $250k consonant to put McDermott close to the top of that list, IMO.

Couldn't disagree more about his 1:00 appearance on WGR - he was fine! He answered questions in a calm and pretty straight-forward manner. Not sure what people are hearing...
