  1. http://v6.player.abacast.net/2103 It's been on for a few minutes though, still he painted a nice picture of Richard...
  2. Not to mention that having a former HC on the staff of a first time HC (especially when those two worked together for years) could be good thing to help Richard through some of the ups and downs of the gig. Would love to know who he's considering as OC...
  3. Come onnnn, it's with a "K", he's hip with the kids - they'll LOVE him!
  4. Wonder if he could peel Smith away from Seattle? 2014 article on Smith: http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2014/01/former_new_orleans_saints_assi_1.html 2015 article on Richard that's pretty good too: http://www.seahawks.com/news/2015/05/28/kris-richard-adapts-new-role-seahawks-defensive-coordinator-were-going-keep-ball-0 I'd like it if he brought Bradley in as DC / Asst. HC - maybe Bradley could impart some wisdom that he learned on the job in Jacksonville...
  5. "Well, Greeeggggggggggg...." - The Coach
  6. As has been said - makes absolutely NO sense to me that they would make this call before bringing on a new coach. If it's Lynn (or he's the OC) and he says "no way!", pass, if not why *wouldn't* you wait for the new HC's opinion? Do you think in the interviews Whaley is like "Oh you like Tyrod, sorry bro, he's gone!!"? Me either...
  7. Early POTY candidate with the inclusion of Skelton! ^ See! It's like they see the same things as us! OK, off to research Richard. One thought - I hope that everyone isn't banking on keeping Lynn as OC. Obviously we don't know if he'll have a HC job, but also just seems to me guys like to bring along other coaches they know. Guess we shall see. Definitely would be bullish with a Richard / Lynn combo...
  8. I wonder if we can get Hammer to offer up a free spot for home games to the new coach to sweeten the pot?
  9. Also, this (from a Denver reporter), FWIW:
  10. The only team I see (at least on a quick Twitter search) that's interviewing Toub are the Broncos, anyone else? More on Toub, if anyone is interested: http://www.chiefs.com/longreads/2015/davetoub.html
  11. Tasker just said on GR55 that Lynn is highly respected around the league and is a legit candidate, he described him as "impressive". FWIW.
  12. Not sure we should judge HC candidates based on one year of how their unit performed. Teams are up and down every year... It's like fans that don't want Lynn because of the Bush call; I hated that call too, but one call doesn't necessarily mean that the guy isn't qualified to be a HC.
  13. He's been an Assistant Head Coach and has interviewed for HC jobs before: http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/article-1/Lynn-Interviews-For-Head-Coach-On-Wednesday/8cc0d60a-8979-4ac3-a7bc-aca13a37b52f Just because TBD hasn't heard of every person that is being interviewed for a HC job, doesn't mean that they're not qualified. I'm guessing people that are actually in the industry, have more insight into who's ready for that level of job...
  14. So the QB that's under contract might not come back and the one that isn't might be our starter? Bizarro-world? Don't people think that if the Bills pick up Tyrod's $27.5MM option that he and the Bills will kiss and make up? Guessing they would...
  15. Broncos high on Vance Joseph?
  16. WTH - someone linked to this thread on Twitter!
  17. Oh daaaaaaamn - he's pissed at the Bills!
  18. At least we know who will be in the room during the coaching interviews and when they plan to start... Regarding Lynn he's probably upset that he was a "virtual lock!" one day (though fans / media hated that idea), and "not a lock" - per Kim, the next (though fans / media now see to hate that). Also, confused on how Vic answered the Tyrod question. Benigni says Tyrod sounded like he might be open to renegotiating his deal (anyone know what he's talking about) and Vic says "Well, Tyrod is mad, he wanted to know if had his extension before he walked out the door." Yeah, well, tough sh*t. He then says Tyrod might not even want to play for the Bills, but can't we just pick up the option and keep him?
  19. Sooooo, are we / have we actually interviewed anyone yet? Also, this seems way too specific to be true...
  20. Of all the crazy "accountably" threads, this one might actually make the MOST sense. You're not wrong on the job responsibilities... Let's at least hope there's footage of him behind the curtain, just off-stage, cringing as Whaley muddled through that presser.
  21. You might not like it, but it IS his right. It would suck even more to be an owner, bring in a "Football guy" to run the entire show and still fail (all while being hands-off). If I were an owner, I'd want to have some say on how and by whom things are being run...
  22. Posted this in another of the Pegs threads, but I really liked the quote - Jed York's comments on why he shouldn't be dismissed for the way he's running the 49er's. http://www.cbssports...imple-response/
  23. Why would they give us an Org Chart? Hell, I own Apple stock and they didn't send me, AN OWNER, an Org Chart!
  24. You could also read the quote “[H]e’s in charge of all — yeah, I don’t even know what he’s in charge of,” Whaley said. “I just know he’s in charge of a lot" As he's the President of two major sports teams, so he's doing so much, I don't even know WHAT all he's doing. Heck, I describe my own job that way sometimes...
