  1. I think you could even shorten that to above. Just because we the message board masses don't fully get a candidates credentials, it doesn't mean they're living off of one year of good coordinator results (as an example). I'm guessing the people that have actually worked in that small industry for years have a better insight into candidates than us...
  2. You might need a new hobby, no reason to let entertainment change your entire personality / viewpoint on life! I'm as big a Bills fan as any, but I'm always super optimistic on life - even when my friends around the country / people in my work world are breaking my balls about our team. If you always expect things to be bad, they will, IMO. Of course, I love Murph's show - I actually appreciate his optimistic viewpoint of the Bills, I get plenty of the other side from national media and TBD!
  3. Hmmmmm (from Buffalo Rumblings guy):
  4. FWIW on the rest of our current staff:
  5. Casserly yesterday: Home run! Casserly today: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000772408/article/casserly-coughlin-needs-to-fight-the-urge-to-micromanage-in-jax?campaign=Twitter_atn
  6. Exactly - I would hope that having interviewed several candidates last time and having a couple of years to see how the guys they didn't hire actually performed, would inform their decision on who to interview (and to hire). There's no reason to interview 30 people for a job - if you are, you haven't narrowed your list enough, IMO.
  7. Lucky he didn't break his hand (if true, of course): http://abc13.com/sports/odell-beckham-jr-bangs-head-on-door-allegedly-punches-hole-in-wall/1693385/
  8. I'd be on-board with this. FWIW, Bradley's resume to become the Skins D Coord: http://www.csnmidatlantic.com/washington-redskins/redskins-defensive-coordinator-resume-gus-bradley I liked this in 2011 "It’s amazing how the addition of some talented players can suddenly transform a defense from near the bottom of the heap one season to a top-10 unit the next. Sherman was a rookie, still learning while the safeties were hitting their stride." We could use a Safety or two, I believe - seems like he might have some insight into what makes a good one...
  9. Very interesting that Caldwell got the two year extension on the same day Coughlin was hired. You would think the new "Football Exec" would want to have the chance to weigh in on the current GM sooner, rather than later... Also lol / please let this happen
  10. Also, my apologies, not sure how my response to a thread titled "St Doug officially head coach in Jax" wasn't: Obviously.
  11. *Note: Opportunity only exists with Jacksonville.
  12. Does this mean their HC search was a sham!? Dumpster fire!
  13. http://v6.player.abacast.net/2103 It's been on for a few minutes though, still he painted a nice picture of Richard...
  14. Not to mention that having a former HC on the staff of a first time HC (especially when those two worked together for years) could be good thing to help Richard through some of the ups and downs of the gig. Would love to know who he's considering as OC...
  15. Come onnnn, it's with a "K", he's hip with the kids - they'll LOVE him!
  16. Wonder if he could peel Smith away from Seattle? 2014 article on Smith: http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2014/01/former_new_orleans_saints_assi_1.html 2015 article on Richard that's pretty good too: http://www.seahawks.com/news/2015/05/28/kris-richard-adapts-new-role-seahawks-defensive-coordinator-were-going-keep-ball-0 I'd like it if he brought Bradley in as DC / Asst. HC - maybe Bradley could impart some wisdom that he learned on the job in Jacksonville...
  17. "Well, Greeeggggggggggg...." - The Coach
  18. As has been said - makes absolutely NO sense to me that they would make this call before bringing on a new coach. If it's Lynn (or he's the OC) and he says "no way!", pass, if not why *wouldn't* you wait for the new HC's opinion? Do you think in the interviews Whaley is like "Oh you like Tyrod, sorry bro, he's gone!!"? Me either...
  19. Early POTY candidate with the inclusion of Skelton! ^ See! It's like they see the same things as us! OK, off to research Richard. One thought - I hope that everyone isn't banking on keeping Lynn as OC. Obviously we don't know if he'll have a HC job, but also just seems to me guys like to bring along other coaches they know. Guess we shall see. Definitely would be bullish with a Richard / Lynn combo...
  20. I wonder if we can get Hammer to offer up a free spot for home games to the new coach to sweeten the pot?
  21. Also, this (from a Denver reporter), FWIW:
  22. The only team I see (at least on a quick Twitter search) that's interviewing Toub are the Broncos, anyone else? More on Toub, if anyone is interested: http://www.chiefs.com/longreads/2015/davetoub.html
  23. Tasker just said on GR55 that Lynn is highly respected around the league and is a legit candidate, he described him as "impressive". FWIW.
