  1. I thought I had read that the tag was like $2MM more than the 5th year option? Certainly not MUCH higher...
  2. I think we've got a winner on our hands!
  3. If Sammy performs why *wouldn't* they tag him? The only thing picking up the option does is gives us one more year to decide if we want to tag / or sign him long-term. Of course with that option if he were to get hurt this year, both this and next year's salary would be guaranteed. Let him play the year out - if he makes it through relatively unscathed tag / sign him long term. Or that's how I'd approach it...
  4. Sully with the Hot Take (er, make that Power Take): http://buffalonews.com/2017/05/01/jerry-sullivans-power-take-re-set-droughts-zero/ Consider the pot stirred, Sully
  5. Wonder how long we have to wait before a hire? Obviously they were planning this move, if the Carolina Asst. GM is the man, let's get him on board and leggo...
  6. Seems this straightforward and simple to me! Now let's get someone with an eye for talent in here, and make this thing happen...
  7. Also, Mr Irreverent, from what I hear...
  8. NFLN just had a great shot of him slumped over sideways the couch. Good look.
  9. What if he doesn't and is not? Bet we'll find out... And not sure we can ever have "too many LTs"
  10. Also, back in 82 Uncle Rico could trow the pigskin a quarter mile - impressive. Amazing the guy got snubbed for the HOF...
  11. If he has a big year, give him a big long term contract, or tag him ($2MM more than the 5th year option per GR55).
  12. Sully - lol, just the guys general demeanor...
  13. I would like to see: 1) Trade back and get more pics 2) BPA - WR / TE / S / DE 3) 2, possibly 3 more martinis
  14. it is the entire first round, but compensation for picks in the top 10 is different http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/agents-take-a-team-by-team-guide-to-fifth-year-option-decisions/ "There's a difference in option-year salary depending where in the first round a player is drafted. The fifth-year salary for the top 10 picks is the transition tender (average of the 10 highest salaries) for a player's position in the fourth year of his contract. With players selected outside of the top 10 (picks 11-32), the fifth-year salary is the average of the third- through 25th-highest salaries at a player's position."

  19. I do not know him. But I know that I hate him. And I blame Whaley.
  20. Duuuuude(s) - I have a wedding that weekend! Don't worry though I've already suggested they move it to Hammer's... Can we borrow the TBDAHOT tent for the reception? I'm guessing that Hammer is an ordained minister, so we're covered there; Mead can cater with Stromboli; Kenny, Cap't Buffalo, Panco Billa, The Pinto as the bridal party. I've got it all figured out!
  21. He's our latest version of Bill Brasky... TO BILL BRASKY!
  22. Ugh - so we have to *read* to comprehend things? Man I hate Whaley...
  23. Count me amongst the deplorables - and Timmy Baseball, sorry about the office nickname...
