  1. Heck, back then the biggest sponsor was Marlboro! Like, you could smoke, IN YOUR SEAT IN THE STADIUM!? I definitely remember walking in with a gallon jug of margaritas (not sure why) and vaguely remember toppling over when we scored a TD. And North side? Hooter Hill? I've heard of it. One time, I was just standing there minding my own business, when suddenly the fence next to me rattled and a guy dropped down seemingly out of the sky. Turned out to be a friend of a friend who saw us, ran up, scaled the fence and was in the game. ? Different times, different time. I think beers in the stadium were actually free back then...
  2. This guy might be the most savvy of ALL of us! When beers are $14, but tickets are $5, just go with 2 tickets and save $4 by having Halftime in the Lot! ?
  3. BTW, you guys are doing it all wrong - drink several beers outside, then when you go into the stadium, find your seats and that one guy in your crew will INSIST on more beers. Have him make the beer run and insist "you'll get the next round". All you have to do is make it though half time before it your turn to buy a round and you're golden! ? At last years opener every time I turned around, I was handed another beer. Not sure which one of the homies kept making the beer runs, but someone dropped some coin... ?
  4. BTW, I find it interesting that you can bring in your own food still. With all the food everyone brings to the opener, I might need to bring a nice doggie bag into the game this year!
  5. Was going to say, as someone who lives in Burlington, VT I'm sadly used to paying $20 for a four pack of good beer. And I'm a big fan of $20 30-packs of Miller High Life ?
  6. Me either! Unless, of course, they were charging $14 for beers and neither of my hands were currently holding a beer... ?
  7. Do you guys not go to big events? Feel like $12 - $14 is where we're at with the 24oz beer these days... Yeah, it's too expensive, but 'tis what it 'tis...
  8. Studs / Duds from the Jets game: https://www.ganggreennation.com/2019/8/9/20798358/studs-duds-from-new-york-jets-preseason-opener-michael-nania All of Darnold's completions (note, they don't show that first pass where he was almost picked)! https://www.newyorkjets.com/video/highlights-all-of-sam-darnold-s-completions-vs-the-giants
  9. At least we're not the Lions: "By halftime, the Lions trailed 20-0, were outgained 262-28 and were booed off the Ford Field turf. The final yardage difference: 459-93. That’s preposterous in any circumstance, and if nothing else, raises alarms about the Lions’ depth. No sense overreacting to one exhibition, but as long as the NFL insists on the charade, it warrants some reaction, and for the Lions, this was a disaster. If you can dig up anything positive, you clearly were over-served." https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/columnists/bob-wojnowski/2019/08/09/detroit-lions-show-absolutely-nothing-31-3-loss-new-england-patriots/1953966001/ Oof. And the Pats only played ONE starter?? WTF...
  10. How did our AFCE competition do - anyone catch much? I watched Darnold's TD drive and while it ended in a TD, I didn't think it was overly impressive. The first pass he threw should have been picked, but then he went on to hit a couple guys who got some YAC. It was a nice TD throw (to a receiver that was breaking pretty open). I also caught this, but haven't watched yet - all of Other Josh's throws: EDIT: Watched Josh - some good throws, some bad ones, but he was definitely helped out by some nice, contested grabs! Still, not scared! I also saw that the Pats won 31 - 3, but didn't see ANY highlights from this one. Did Brady make it out alive? EDIT: A bit on the Pats: https://www.boston.com/sports/new-england-patriots/2019/08/09/5-takeaways-from-the-patriots-preseason-opening-win-over-the-lions Anyone have any other impressions on the competition?
  11. Yeah dude, but the great ones hit 14 passes out of 11. Don't ask me how, I just know they do... ?
  12. Jonathan Williams with 1st down - waiting for a 70 page thread...
  13. Darnold should have been picked on his first pass of the game. After that he hit a RB who made a nice move for a 1st, then someone wide open who made a move and got some nice YAC. To my eye Darnold looked a little nervous in the pocket. Regardless, first pre-season game, we'll see more from all these guys - I liked what I saw out of Josh...
  14. Caught a knee to the head / neck area looked like. Could be collarbone or concussion...
  15. Sun in the eyes maybe? Looked like he lost tracking at the end... Or, he sucks. ?
  16. GAME ON BABY! Happy 2019 Everyone Go Bills!!!

  20. Bay Area native w enough celeb pull to get passes. Like G Eazy...
  21. Once Morse is healthy, we're going to cut Josh - Obviously. #OfficialyConcerned (tm)
  22. The Raiders need a few more conductors on their train ride to Flavortown - Guy seems like he'd be a perfect fit... ?
  23. Gilly? GILLY!? SUPER BOWL! The Colts are geniuses, McBuddy is asleep at the wheel...
