  1. Is it because they're confident in who they have on the roster or because Smith would never see the ball?
  2. If Spotrac numbers are to be believed, the entire $8 million in 2017 pay becomes guaranteed in April. $8mill is too much of a cap hit next year for a #2 WR
  3. Don't know about the out years, $8 mil/yr is a bit much for Torrey. Will definitely have to restructure.
  4. Would you trade a #2 pick?
  5. For Pete's sake - salary cap is not an issue for any team considering T Smith. '49ers eat all the prorated cap, including his roster bonuses from 2016. In 2016 Bills would only be on the hook for the remaining salary of $2.5 million over 9 games. After the season it will be up to the team to cut him or to restructure.
  6. Cap number is nothing - as others pointed out, he'll count $2.5 mil against the cap this year. There's no way in the world he sees the rest of his contract beyond 2016 with any team. If they get him, he's instantly No. 1.
  7. Russians are going to stabilize the Mid East, but the pesky US and Saudis won't let them? Pure gold, Jerry. Pure gold.
  8. This is not a thread to dissect yesterday's game.
  9. Then we have to wait on more year, because the D isn't elite this year.
  10. Will have to look at All-22 to form a better opinion, but to my naked eye, the D scheme changed in the second half. Players were in position to make the stop, but blew the tackles, especially the horrific run from the 1 yd line. Ajayi broke two tackles at the 4 yd line. Miami did to us what we did to the '49ers last week. By the 4th Q, the legs were gone.
  11. Don't know about that. I saw a bunch of plays where Douzable got blown up and Dareus wouldn't have been.
  12. It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham.
  13. If that were the case, Russell Wilson would never have a need for 4th quarter comebacks. Yet somehow, he's always at the top of the league.
  14. Now why doesn't every NFL team do that? Sounds like an easy recipe for victory. No matter how good or how bad a defense is - 3 first downs for 41 total yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs over 6 games in two years doesn't sound clutch to me.
  15. I dunno. I define clutch time as your team down by 8 points or less late in the game and your team having the ball with under 4 minutes to go. What's your definition?
  16. Nothing to see here folks, move along. There was zero influence on the FBI. Clinton Ally Aided Campaign of FBI Official’s Wife Maybe it's just me, but if anyone in my industry had such a huge conflict of interest would be fired on the spot and be investigated for securities and financial law violations.
  17. What does that have to do with 3 first downs in six games over two years in clutch time?
  18. You're pining for a defense that shows up maybe once a decade that makes QB play irrelevant. Bills don't have that kind of defense. They didn't play well. But they did enough today and Ravens to put the ball in the QB's hand, and he failed to pick up a first down.
  19. Six games. Not just today. Six games over two years. Three first downs.
  20. I think that showing stats from six separate games over two years does not qualify as reactionary, but as demonstrating a pattern. One score or less. Pay attention.
  21. If Kim is as involved with the team as we are to believe perhaps it's time for her to be a stern mother to a kid who's taking the most of the family's money. He'll probably listen to her more than anyone else.
  22. john Do you read posts before responding? This is over six different games over his entire Buffalo career, with most having the full complement of WRs and RBs It wasn't the final drive.
  23. There are many things to like about the kid, and he clearly is not a horrible QB who will cost you games. But it's also clear that he is not a QB who will win games for you. All aspects of the team have to line up ideally for him to come away with a W. In a league of parity though, usually the QB separates the winners from losers and there are always a handful of games where the QB needs to put the team on his back and will them to victory. Somebody shared a tweet after last week's game that said it was the first time as a Bills that he won a game they trailed in. That wasn't technically correct, as the first was the Titans game last year. That game also counts as the only fourth quarter comeback that TT engineered, although it doesn't qualify for Pro Football Reference comebacks because Bills scored early in the quarter. So, I looked at TT's series with Bills down by one score or less with 2-4 minutes to go in the game (so hardly desperation time). Here are the sad results: NE1 - 0 FD - 0 Yds - 1 INT NE2 - 2 FD - 32 Yds KC - 1 FD - 19 Yds Phi - 0 FD - -2 Yds - 1 INT Balt - 0 FD - -8 Yds Miami - 0 FD - 0 Yds Six opportunities, zero clutch drives.
  24. Which is a play that an NFL QB needs to anticipate. I think that people are getting carried away with TT's defenses. He's a very good QB when he doesn't have to overcome obstacles and be a QB (to paraphrase the Ravens). But over nearly year and a half, he has shown that he cannot move the ball when the game is on the line. Correct me if I'm wrong, but down with one score, late in 4th Q TT only picked up 3 first downs in his entire Bills career!!! I think that's a thread of its own.
