  1. Imagine if DC Tom taught a class to illiterates?
  2. Horton could have been the DC here if not for Rex.
  3. Evidently it's Bernie's and his supporters' fault. Does the man ever accept any blame?
  4. Not a coincidence that they were the two shown the door
  5. That's not the question though. How many teams will pay him $18 million/yr to be the starter?
  6. America apparently will be great when we replace wallbashing with ballwashing
  7. I would be shocked if the administration "started moving on" from Tyrod without feedback from the coaches. I don't think that Lynn needed to be in the weekly meetings. But I imagine he could gather what the administration is thinking based on the questions they're asking. The GM needs to have a channel of communication with the coordinators. I doubt that he has regular chat sessions with them and it likely stops at the coordinator level and doesn't go down to the position level. Let me put it this way, if Whaley's information about the team only comes from the head coach, then it's a screwed up structure.
  8. Rex was all in, but those were very direct comments by Lynn. I can't imagine not involving the OC when you're evaluating the long term future of the QB
  9. That's why I'm saying that Lynn is the likely head coach. If these discussions started in October, he's fully behind the move.
  10. You'd be wrong then. Sure, he's a shill for his agent's business, but his scoops are usually spot on because they come directly from the agency. In this case, he's at least one step removed because he and Tyrod don't share an agent. My only guess about his knowledge of the situation is that Bills are probably snooping around QBs and an agent gave Shefter a heads up.
  11. The difference is that Bills wouldn't be committed to Romo long term. The big money in TT's contract kicks in this year with a longer commitment. I think that Bills would be perfectly happy keeping TT at $15 million in 2017.
  12. That's why this whole thing doesn't make sense in the middle of a coaching search. Turning the clock back two years when the team was in a similar predicament, it was clear they had the QB candidates lined up as Rex was ushered in. I imagine that has to be the case now. As I said before, no man in his right mind is stepping into this job faced with Cardale Jones as the QB. The draft won't be an option either, because there isn't a good option available at #10.
  13. The more I think about this, the more likely that Lynn is going to be the guy. Who in the world would accept this job with the QB position in flux? Lynn probably has been "privy" to some discussions about the future direction and likely had a lot of input on TT's play, especially if they started moving on in October. If the Bills have alternate plans for the QB, I also don't think it's wise to disclose it to the other candidates because you don't want to telegraph it to guys who will be part of other franchises. Yup, not clean at all.
  14. Correct. No matter what people think of the Rooney rule, the biggest issue with lack of hiring black coaches back in the day was lack of coordinators . That's usually the feeding ground for coaching. I think that's where most of the progress was made recently, and the Rooney Rule probably isn't needed anymore because there are many qualified coordinators around the league, who also happen to be black.
  15. I'm guessing this. Not as definitive as the OP states. But definitely odd to make that decision now, before the new coach gets to weigh in. Kind of silly actually to be interviewing coaching candidates and telling them that their season now rests with Cardale Jones.
  16. I thought he looked OK vs Jets given the circumstances. Still stares down his primary (only) target, but had the confident throws that EJ never showed. Lynn called a few plays that were clearly designed for TT and those should leave the playbook because CJ isn't that fast. I've seen a hell of a lot worse out of Bills QBs over the years.
  17. Common man, it's overtime. Why wouldn't you give the ball to an aging back with negative yardage for the season?
  18. OK, a translation for people who don't?
  19. What is he trying to say?
  20. Would we get Earl Thomas as a package deal?
  21. Check Dareus's house first
  22. Now it's Craftsman, Stanley, B&D, DeWalt, Irwin & Lennox under one umbrella. At least they kept it American.
