  1. Second fastest linebacker at the combine I believe but he doesn't see to be what we want as he is undersized. They were saying he would be a free agent but with the 40 time I am someone will pick him in the 6th or so.
  2. I hadn't seen this posted. I am thinking this is they way we might be going and I would not be upset with this as of now: Round 1: Cam Newton QB Round 2: Cameron Heyward DE Round 3: Quan Sturdivant MLB http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/20583/20110217/nfl_mock_draft_version_70_pre_combine_edition/
  3. Barksdale is sliding, I have seen him graded as a 6th rounder recently. Austin will go earlier, matthews will go earlier, moffitt will go earlier and I wouldn't touch Will Hill with a ten foot pole
  4. North -2 (-115) South +2 (-105)
  5. Draft A but I think Gabbertt, Beal and Matthews will be gone long before those slots.
  6. 1.) QB- Unfortunately no one in this draft, free agent or trade market will be the guy this year so although it is our biggest need by far, it is low on priorities 2.) ILB 3.) DE 4.) RT 5.) TE 6.) OLB (although if Merriman is healthy I like him and Moats on the outside) 7.) CB
  7. Players talk all the time, there is no way to regulate that and I am not even sure it is a violation under league rules unless they can prove that the team put the player up to it.
  8. Merriman retweeted a post a little over an hour ago from a guy saying something along the lines of "Shawne get some free agents to come to Buffalo". Shawne replied "they are coming". Know something? He didn't say he'd try or that they will work hard to do so. Just seemed like an odd comment in that he might have already talked to some of his close friends and got some buy in. Doubt it but hey it's the offseason for us....
  9. I just used the projected round picks from NFL Draft Scount. Jordan has questions about inconsistent play and could very well slip to our second. Carimi is much less athletic than some of the other tackles. He is rated 1/2 now but will drop compared to others with individual workouts. Plus our second is basically a late first round pick. I am not sure on Cannon. I could see him going in the second for sure. I like Von Miller because he is big and has experience playing the position. I think he'd have the greatest immediate impact of the linebackers. Maybe not as high of an upside as some though.
  10. Ideally, I would tarde the #3 to Dallas for their #9, 2nd rounder and a 2nd rounder next year. Draft Projections based on projected round picked on NFL Draft Scout. That would lead to this draft: 1 Von Miller OLB Texas A&M 2 Cameron Jordan DE Cal 2 Marcus Cannon OT TCU 3 Quan Strudivant MLB N. Carolina 4 Andy Dalton QB TCU 4 Curtis Marsh CB Utah State 5 Colby Whitlock DT/DE Texas Tech 6 Joseph Barksdale OT LSU 7 Derrick Locke RB Kentucky If no trade was made, I would probably with this draft at this point (changes mostly at the top): 1 Marcell Dareus DE Alabama 2 Gabe Carimi OT Wisconsin 3 Quan Strudivant MLB N. Carolina 4 Andy Dalton QB TCU 4 Curtis Marsh CB Utah State 5 Colby Whitlock DT/DE Texas Tech 6 Joseph Barksdale OT LSU 7 Derrick Locke RB Kentucky
  11. According to the "Draft Value Chart" our #3 pick is worth 2200 value points. To use only this years picks, Dallas would have to give us: 1st- 1350 2nd- 490 3rd- 225 4th- 84 5th- 37.5 7th- 11 Basically they would have to trade their whole draft to us. I would do this is a second. In real life it might not work like this but most trades are pretty close to the guide. It's probably end up swap picks we get their second and a second next year or something like that.
  12. I believe it is because it is not a physical freak like some of the other LBs. He is small for an ILB and not as athleticas some. I'd take him though. He looked like a player. Not sure he could stand the beating a 3-4 ILB takes though.
  13. Or all the articles recently where he admitted that he was last at the facility, first to leave, didn't study the playbook or game tape and basically just went out and played sandlot football.
  14. I only caught the second half of the game last night but I was not too impressed with Mallet. I had liked him before and really wanted him after watching the Arkansas/Alabama game early in the season. I do not think we will go this route. In watching the game though, I was very impressed with Arkansas TE DJ Williams. He has very good hands and ran nice routes. His blocking has improved. I have seen rumors that the Bills might go TE early in the draft. If we do, I am betting this is the guy they are targeting.
  15. Is it too much to hope Webb to get 46 points tonight?
  16. Very true as well. I was just talking through FA options and I do think they willdo something. A "big name" TE isn't going to command much money unless that name is Antonio Gates, Vernon Davis or Jason Witten. The "name" free agents in this class will not be getting huge contracts so it might be worthwhile as it would provide good value for the money. Chan seems to like the TE position since the keep bringing in numerous free agents at TE as people get hurt.
  17. McMichael will be 32 next year and even in his starting years was just a servicable TE. I'd be excited for Zach Miller who will be 26 next year and has increased his number of catches each year in Raider land if we go the FA route.
  18. With Rodgers looking to be out this week, I need a QB. I picked up two off the waiver wire. Kerry Collins David Garrard I am leaning Garrard but would appreciate input as a lot of people have been talking up Collins this week.

  20. I haven't seen too much of Locker. Basically what both sides say is right but I will give my observations after not even a half of play (and bits of the USC game). He guns everything, short, long, in between. He has very little touch on short throws and often overthrows his runningbacks on swing passes or even short routes to the receiver. He just does not seem comfortable standing in the pocket. That said, he just makes plays. That third touchdown was an amazing long throw while being hit. He throws so well on the run it is amazing. He's been all over the field making plays. Seems to have some of the "it factor". Team seems to be behind him 100%. Gun of an arm and if you get him moving he gets more accurate not less.
  21. Anyone know Wang's status? Has he progressed enough to be on the field since the injury? I guess only the coaches would really know but I haven't heard any clips about him other than being on the inactives ach week.
  22. Sure could but may be throwing a bone to a veteran player. They ask him if he wants to be cut to look for a new team or go on IR knowing either way he isn't going to be playing for the Bills again. I am sure other teams are lining up to get plays benched by the Bills. Also as someone mentioned, it covers them for making the mistake in the first place.
  23. As far as I know, you can't work out someone who is being paid by another team, even if it is on their practice squad.
  24. I couldn't find his e-mail but me and my friends have all submitted comments on NFL.com under the "Contact Us" tab at the bottom.
