  1. I think we'd have to grab him in the 3rd (or maybe higher come draft time). He'll probably move up as the draft approaches. He's not very close to either Garrard or Blake. He can move around the pocket but is not a running quarterback per se. Not a super strong arm but strong enough. Not afraid to throw down field and let his receivers make plays. I just cant get over his release which is lightning quick for a college QB and I feel this is an indicator of success in the pros.. He's pretty much assured a top 15 selection and when he was on The Dan Patrick show he pretty much indicted that he would leave if that was the case without saying he was leaving. Why do you think this?
  2. I'm an ECU grad so I have watched him pretty closely and love Shane Carden. You cant teach a quick release. Reminds me a bit of Brees based on physical tools but obviously has a long way to go to talk about that seriously. Early in the season when ECU was ranked there was talk he could sneak into the late first, early second but now I;m seeing him mostly in the 4th in mocks. I'd love to have him here.
  3. Also, he fought with Marrone in camp and also heard about another incident during the preseason. He was then benched by Pepper Johnson (supposedly). He may not want to be around this staff any longer. Just a thought, nothing concrete.
  4. When Mark Sanchez is your best UFA option, there are better ways to spend your money.
  5. What does this mean? Why even say it unless Whaley/Russ/someone else is putting pressure on him to play EJ?
  6. Julius is less than 50/50 today. I've been watching the Denver beat reporters pretty closely as I have JT on my fantasy team and earlier in the week he was looking like a lock to play and its gotten worse and worse since.
  7. He's 27 and 8 months older than Spiller, but don't let facts get in your way.
  8. This was the first option. It has apparently gone past the point of them being feasible thus looking at other stadiums.
  9. A friend who is a supervisor for stadium security told me that he was just informed the Bills are shooting for a 7pm Monday night game. If that doesn't look feasible, they will move the game to a new location.
  10. I'm not saying the Bills are going to the Super Bowl but man those odds look good for a 5-3 team. And I will probably be playing the Bills as well. I never bet against them but if it's one they will win I will play them.
  11. My book currently has Denver +360 (3.6/1) and New England +600 (6/1) followed by Seattle, Green Bay, Arizona, Philly, Indy. Bills are currently tied for 19th with the Vikings and Giants at 100/1
  12. I'd definitely go t oa Rochester game or three
  13. Schmidt has been pretty good for a rookie punter. Although he is 29th in average and 21 in net average, he leads the league in punts inside the 20. I'd get rid of Gay before Schmidt any day.
  14. It usually is. It's hard to make trades in the NFL (in my Dick Jauron voice).
  15. I used a Drunk Drivers of Scranton service in PA to get home from The Peach Festival which had just as many cars as a Bills game in a stadium lot and it costs me $36 to go 12 miles. $200 seems insane but hey if they can get it more power to them. I have had a few friends take a cab. It was like $12 from the hotel to the corner of Abbott near the stadium for three of them. I can't imagine a better or more convenient way if you can find someone who is willing to host your tailgate. I'll be at that game if you want somewhere to hang.
  16. There are some street meat type vendors around but rarely people selling anything in the lots themselves. I agree that subs are always a good option if you don't have time to prep or make food. You might find someone to share a beer with you but there are not really any vendors that you can get beer from outside the stadium unless you're parking at and going in a bar like Kettles or something (which is where I have been parking recently).
  17. Steelers are the team I am going with. See them coming up big at home on Monday night.
  18. And is far from a franchise QB. He makes few mistakes but takes no chances. Their WRs rarely make a catch past 10 yards. They win in spite of this, not because Smith is a franchise QB who takes over games.
  19. What agenda? I don't think anyone was saying EJ was in that top tier, let alone even the middle of the pack. It's about the long term. EJ is now basically done in Buffalo no matter what stories he or the Bills tell otherwise. We have an almost 32 year old journeyman QB with a .500 winning percentage. He COULD be middle of the pack but is not top Tier either. We have no first round pick next year to secure a QB of the future and we don't have one on the roster now. EJ was not even a full season of starting experience in. Manning even looked downright awful his rookie season (and no I am not compating EJ to Manning at all). That being said, I have no problem with Kyle and will root for him fully this weekend. Go Bills!
  20. Shane Carden from ECU is awesome. Super quick release, great with his reads. He may sneak into the first though by the time all is said and done.
  21. This....even is Orton somehow pulls out a few wins EJ wouldn't have, we not have an aging journeyman quarterback with around a .500 NFL record, no QB of the future, no first round pick. This sets us back for four years.
  22. Jets -1.5 Its been dropping today from 2.5 earlier.
  23. I'm torn. I bet the Jets because it fits into a lot of my system type plays and it was logical, but I logically cannot route for the Jets. Guess I can't watch the game.
  24. I haven't gone through all the threads to see where this was being discussed elsewhere but Eric Wood has looked mostly miserable this year. He has been one of my favorite Bills over the past few years but he has been god-awful bad to merely average at his best this year.
