  1. hey look, something new for Americans to fight about! im sure the takes will be totally unbiased...
  2. So, if Worthy does well then the Chiefs got us. Fine. But if that is true then if Worthy sucks then we got them - screwed them out of a 3rd rounder. The risk is there for both teams that they may have helped a rival.
  3. Oh great, now we have a dedicated thread! Copy/paste: oh america...arguing about who is most weird🤗 you guys will fight about anything. still, a weak attack from the dems. do better.

  5. Oh man, the combination of lack of knowledge and "knowing" your are right...typical. Or is it bad faith? google seems to be pulling definitions from two different online dictionaries here, not surprising with two obviously different setups (different computer? Different browser? We don't know). If you want to blame anyone blame oxford for the example sentence.
  6. Nah, probably during the competitions when athletes pray or cross themselves before they compete and thank god when they win.
  7. Yes, the most printed book ever, by far. The book that wars are made of (unfortunately). The book millions of people wear symbols of. the book thousands of preachers preach from to millions of people. The book most people know the stories from, and many people know the anti-gay sentiment from because some christians are happy to point it out. How many people in this world do you figure have never heard of the bible or the stories within? How many LGBTQ people have never heard of the anti-gay sentiment within? I think it is understandable for the bible to be rejected by most LGBTQ people. you can mock books in 2024, but the bible is the most influential piece of media in our world. Totally appreciate progressive churches, like the one my mother attends. These are the people who realize the bible is not to be taken so literally and instead focus on a more simple message like jesus just wants us to love each other. You can call a bigot a bigot, i just don't see how it helps anything.
  8. is there a bigger stage in this world than the Bible? occam's razor would be no one at the ioc cared. that's simple. i dont think we should disparage either. not to say i approve of their actions, i just dont see how disparaging helps, it mostly pushes them further apart.
  9. hold on. you dont get "you attacked me so i will attack you?" i find that hard to believe. as for why the ioc i can only guess. and my guess is, simply, they let France be France. Laicite. it's kind of their thing. btw i agree that I would rather less or no conflict. but i mean...you cant even talk about this sans vitriol. alphabet cult? that's you attacking back btw per my original point you say you dont get.
  10. is it really that difficult to understand? hate a group of people based on your religion. do your best to beat the group down and attack their beliefs. they reciprocate by attacking your beliefs. shocker.
  11. France has been giving the stiff middle finger to catholicism for over 100 years. what's the big deal? this is who France is. the attempt at the pedophile card is rich given chritiantity's own rampant pedo probs. glass houses etc. why should any religion be free from criticism and mockery? what happened to the freedom of speech you Americans are so proud of (and rightfully so, imo)
  12. Jewish people can easily imagine it, we practice imagining such things each year on Passover.
  13. more theatre Biden appeases his lefties (maybe not effectively) Bibi appeases his righties and nothing will change re israel and gaza
  14. I highly doubt he would have put down a dog that needed better training. And he really was a hunter/trapper/farmer. The only man i know who truly lived off the land.
  15. No, my uncle was the experienced hunter/trapper so he would do it. That said I don't remember any dogs getting put down but he would have done it. Cows, pigs, a hurt rabbit, raccoon or skunk. It was the humane thing to do. But i never ran for politics and wrote a book containing such things because that would be stupid.
  16. I come from a farming family. Yes, we might put down an animal including a dog. But you know what we don't do? RUN FOR VP AND WRITE A BOOK ABOUT HOW I KILLED MY DOG. What an idiotic move, instantly disqualifying.
  17. It's almost as if no one can predict how players will turn out
  18. i am never surprised when politicians are selfish. it is nothing new. they all do it. sure, these are the rules we have. and they take advantage. greed is an excellent motivator and has been for a looooooooong time.
  19. Uniparty? On the one hand i agree, the political class is largely in it for themselves and they always make sure to benefit from their position. On the other hand...~75% support is hard to deny. Or should the USA be ruled by 25%?
  20. Standing buffalo is best buffalo
  21. yes, it was that way for both Trans day and Easter. the real reason is respect the cynical reason is politik so probably somewhere in the middle.
  22. i hope you are right. im Canadian and i think we are in the same boat...mostly regular people of all kinds (including christians and transgender people) that are fine and then extreme loud ends of the spectrum that take up too much air time.
  23. day of Trans remembrance started 1999. Day of Visibility 2009. both well before the saturation we have now. do we cancel the day because of this? id say easter saturates even more...do we cancel it? i dont think so. yeah there are many groups worthy and we do have days (or months) for them. and if there are some that wish more attention that don't have it then go ahead i cant see why not.
