And you are basing your rant on that Sal knows the details...he does not. He just writes so that he appears to know....

You can spin these any way you like... Some will say that the NFL is more a passing league now and that even an avenge Joe like EJ can hit the numbers. To me, he passes the eyeball test and the intangibles...We're fine.

According to Vegas, he's the odds on favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year....

Any report on the massive Guard from Baylor, Richardson? Was hoping something was there, but early on, the lack of chatter indicates he might be practice squad fodder.... -

Everybody has to chill out with the whole EJ thing. Right now, he is the NFL whipping boy for the woeful Bills...his fault the trade up in the draft was too much...his fault he checked down too much...his fault he got hurt too much..etc.. Maybe, the trade up in the draft will be one sided for the Bills...maybe, he has to check down because our WR's couldn't get open enough...maybe, he got hurt running because protection broke down and he had to run. Is he any worse than Sam Bradford? No, yet the Rams can have hope and the Bills should have drafted a QB. The Bills have hitched their wagon to EJ - lets see where it goes. Can't wait for him to prove everyone wrong... -
- tell Kraft to ask NFL players if they want to play in London. One game, fine - whole season? It will be harder for them to attract free agents than Buffalo, Cleveland and Jacksonville....

* EJ Starts every game...and quells everyone's fears * Cordy Glenn and Eric Wood start their run of Pro Bowls * Sammy starts strong, but ends with a fizzle - Woods and Williams lessen the sting * CJ bounces back, and out the door in free agency * We miss Pettine's D...but Hughes misses it more * Mario flourishes in the new D * We miss the legend more than the actual player * Spikes earns a nice contract in 2015...elsewhere * Gilmore cracks elite CB status * Aaron Williams makes everyone forget Byrd * 9-7

Vegas has released their win total projections...
Kipers Hair replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- Not disagreeing ss it makes sense from a house betting perspective, but isn't that what the bar is - the mid point where half of the people think it's going to be over and the other half under? If the bar is too low and everybody bets the over and the house loses their shirt, the 10 percent vig means squat. The bar is set where they (this case the LV Hilton) think the win total will be around...for the Bills, 6 or 7 wins. What's the misconception? -
Batavia possible stadium site?
Kipers Hair replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going to go out on a limb and say, there's no way the Bills setting up in Batavia...nice rumor, but nothing more thank 20 miles from the boarder is in play...and do you really think Erie or Niagara county is going to lose out to...what, Wyoming county? Stop it with this Batavia talk already... -
class. Not a game played and we are a better organization for moving up and taking him...

FWIW Bill Polian wasn't too keen on part of our draft.
Kipers Hair replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
those comments were straight from BP's mouth earlier this AM...and even then, I didn't think it fair for him to say because of the Bennett trade. He just sounds like he is not sold on EJ, which makes the Watkins trade a waste to him. Literally did not have Gronkowski on his board while at Indy - their medical said the next back injury could end his career... -

BP is admittedly conservative and would not have endorsed that deal. I understand he did not even have Gronkowski on their draft board due to concerns with his back - a guy like our troubled OT from the U would similarly never have made his... In the end, we swung for the fences and hopefully we get a couple of runs... -
Kiper gives Bills low marks in draft
Kipers Hair replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Much like Sampson....Mel derives his powers from his hair....and his hair gives the Bills an A....would have been an A+ had we signed Skov as a priority free agent...magnificent nonetheless.... -
If everything pans out, it's an A+ draft....Going in, for a team with a poor record, we did not have a ton of holes to fill and where they endevored to fill the holes, they swung for the fences - nice change from the past decade. As with anyone swinging for the fences, I expect some bad misses, but if we hit on Sammy (good bet), Cyrus, Cyril, and Mike Williams - it's an A+ going away. The position not taken, DE, in my opinion, is not one immediately critical, but something where an insurance policy would have felt good. By the way, don't be surprised to see them give the DB from Duke a crack at the FS role somewhere down the line - good smarts, ball skills and athleticism...sounds like a recently departed Pro Bowl FS... Of course, it's all hinging upon EJ playing a full year and progressing from last year. I have already seen a couple of B's...
