Are things really that bad???
Kipers Hair replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes...yes they are that bad. You are not accounting for ownership and the coaching...things are that bad. We went 1-3 against playoff teams this year and that is about the right reflection for this team - simply not good enough - a .500 team if there ever was... -
He'll be gone well before we pick...

It's time to grade the 2006 Bills Draft
Kipers Hair replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your missing the point - the fact is the "experts" say you need 3 full seasons to grade...time to grade. I agree with the poster except Whitner - I think it is closer to a D+ given the expectations and where taken.... -
Chase Coffman for TE. 2nd or 3rd round.
Kipers Hair replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the recent foot injury and announcement of a screw in the foot, you can in all liklihood, get him in the late nd, early 3rd unless he blows all away at the combine.... -
I have had the ticket for 7 years - nixed it a couple of weeks ago as the Bills are simply too painful to watch. If they look legit some point, I would consider singing back up as I do like the product besides the main reason I bought it...the Bills...

You really intending on buying more tickets with what you now know? -
Breaking News Shanahan fired!

See, he would be a bad fit for the Bills.... Right Ralph? -
Look at what we could have had instead of HARDY
Kipers Hair replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you and the exercise is fruitless at best, however, the frustrating thing is that I really believe that some of the more hard core fans from this site might have done better with the pick or picks if you would. I know, easy for us all to say, but I know more than a few who would not have blown picks on Hardy, Willis McGahee, Dante Whitner, John McCargo and Mike Williams.... -
BREAKING NEWS: Jauron to be retained
Kipers Hair replied to BarkLessWagMore's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The frustration level is just going to rise. Unless they bring in some savy OC to handle game day duties, this team is F'ed. A buddy of mine in Chicago said DJ was equally inept there. During their 13-3 year when he won coach of the year, apparently, that team could have gone 4-12 just as easily.... Anyway, unless they make a Haynesworth type FA aquisition or bring on an All Star caoching staff - this team is; - Down roughly 15% in Season Ticket Sales - Destined for anywhere between 6-10 and 10-6 I can understand the need for continuity though, just too bad the wheel stopped spinning when it hit DJ... -

Amen brother - this was the guy I tabbed when we were up.... -
Hypothetically, if the Bills Leave WNY.....
Kipers Hair replied to chaccof's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. University at Buffalo 2. San Francisco 49ers - Love Singletary's approach.... 3. J-E-T-S - Anyone owner with the ability to fire a 3rd year head coach so quickly after mixed results has my undying support - Ralph, you out there? Did you see the decisive move? HHhhhhmmmmmmm..... -
Ouch - I agree - but the visual in comparing Poz to Digeorgio is a powerful one....I agree with the assessment, I was hoping he would be another Shane Conlon type, instead I was treated to another Brandon Spoon or Ray Bentley at best....
-
Might be our leading tackler, but definitely not a play maker....I like his consistency, but we need some difference makers on defense...
-
Perhaps you are right - if she can entertain, perhaps work her way into some Collage coaching network to get the inside skinny on some players, there might be an upside.

OT- For those of you still living in Buffalo
Kipers Hair replied to twist_to_open's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all due respect, I think this guys was saluting you... I'll preface what I am going to say next with, I like WNY and enjoy returning for fun as there is a lot to do, but damn man, WNY is one of the worst places on the face of the US with regards to weather and the economy. Do you think the Wall Street journal writes articles about the failing economy there to sell copy? Perhaps the weather channel sends teams of reporters there for the ambiance? Look no disrespect, the guy, like me, likes WNY and visiting for fun, but it really is a tough sell otherwise.... -
The more I think of it, the whole Whitner pick - sucked beyond all reaons - just look at some of the other guys taken in the first round that either "did not fit our system" or maybe...just maybe, we missed all together: (9) Detroit Lions - Ernie Simms - OLB - Would look nice... (11) St. Louis Rams - TRADED TO BRONCOS - Jay Cutler - QB - Would look nice... (12) Cleveland Browns - TRADED TO RAVENS - Haloti Ngata - DT - Hang our heads in shame missing this one... (13) Baltimore Ravens - TRADED TO BROWNS - Kamerion Wimbley - DE - Would look nice... (14) Philadelphia Eagles - Brodrick Buckley - DT - Would look nice - but hey, we got mound of sh-t McCargo who made Mario Williams look good! (17) Minnesota Vikings - Chad Greenway - OLB (19) San Diego Chargers - Antonio Cromartie - CB (20) Kansas City Chiefs - Tamba Hali - DE (22) San Francisco 49ers (from Denver) - Manny Lawson - DE (23) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Davin Joseph - OG (25) New York Giants TRADED TO STEELERS - Santonio Holmes - WR (27) Carolina Panthers - Deangelo Williams - RB (29) New York Jets (from Denver) - Nick Mangold - OC (30) Indianapolis Colts - Joseph Addai - RB (32) Pittsburgh Steelers - Mathias Kiwanuka - DE And just for grins - these two round 2 gems could have been had; OLB - Demico Ryans T - Marcus McNeill Has enough time passed to finally grade this draft as a D+ at best??? Let us now bow to Marv's genius....

what would you rather see the bills draft
Kipers Hair replied to Drew026's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You always take the big man over the safety...besides, too much invested in your current crop of safety's.... -
I have to disagree - If the Bills would have approached last year for a similar situaiton that he has in Miami - he would have considered it. I think it's funny that people think BPl some kind of big city guy. He's a Jersey guy who has a house in upstate NY - loves it up here and hated it in Dallas...(and yes, I do know this from the horses mouth...). That said, Ralph got scorched by a big named GM in Donohoe, unless those wounds have healed, he is going to continue with his current approach....Schottenheimer would have been a good low budget Parcells, but I hear KC has flown in him already...
-
You have to ask - can Modrak play nice with Ralph's daughter? Sorry, but if the stories are true and she was somehow even remotely accountable for Polian leaving...I am not sure that it will work...but who knows, maybe she actually can evaluate talent....(then again, she has been with this org for many years now...and our drafts suck...).
-
Pipe - This is the first year in many where I did not really watch much of the past 8 games - I'll trust your sources because I have heard the same. It's said, but I could have Tivo'd and listened to the entire game - I did neither, chosing rather to listen to the Saints game on the Sirius. Anyway, given this is an epitath of sorts, you should have really filled in all the blanks - I will add some favorites: - How 'bout that draft? I think I would have landed better talent with my outdated Sporting News draft guide and a couple of calls to friends in the business... McKelvin is the athlete we thought he was but (1) why did the coaching staff wait so long to give him a chance and (2) Did we really need the CB with so many other needs? After that...Caibrutta Ratza as a great man once said... - From the player personnel folks - If I read one more time that we didn't draft #### because they did not fit our scheme, I might climb the bell tower. I love the fact that Ngata was a bad fit, or maybe Martellus Bennet or another pass catching tight end...You see those giant DT's really can't make plays on our scheme and pass catching TE's, who needs them when you can get a blocker like Royal in the free agency... - Lastly - the Ralph himself....Only Jerry Jones amuses me more with his brand of foolishness....but at least he is visible and you know he is screwing the preverbial pooch...Ralph, he just f-cks with things subversively...I've said it many times - until the man passes the team on, they are doomed to fail. Anyway - thanks to the Bills for moving me to the point to killing my Sunday ticket package...I have had for the past 8 years....but no more my friends. While we were unable to send Ralph a message this final week, I will live my word no spend any more time and resources on this team until they prove they are a competent organization....

This is the passion I am talking about - firing Ralph....
-
I would have to agree - probably only drinks from styrafom cups now and throws them onto Elmwood Ave while laughing and pointing at the homeless...
