Albert Haynesworth to New England for 2013 5th re pick
Kipers Hair replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know something, put in that light - we are not bad off in the trenches any more are we? I still like the fact that they have proven excellent players manning the line, but d-mn, we have something going up front dont we? (Cross Fingers), and if by small chance Merriman is 90% of his old self, we might have a defense worth a damn... -

Say what you will, but you have to LOVE the way this organization does business.... -
Other than filling the cauffers with bodies like the Bills are doing, I am not sure why everyne is all excited about this free agency, (other than perhaps the need to talk living football after all this time). Seriously, the teams that "win" in free agency (according to the pundants at least) seldom win on the field. You need the key pieces in place for Free Agency to work its magic...and I am pretty happy with the direciton of Nix here - back up QB, resign a needed DB and pursue a Tackle...now lets see about that role playing TE we so desparately need here...

Cold slap coming - they just obtained the rights to negotiate with Christian Ehroff...Pegula is going to make Wilson look all the fool he is in refraining from building a winner... If Pegula is deciding what players to throw money at, I would agree...however, Rehger (sp?) was not exactly a fantasy hockey name and obtaining him shows he is listening to his hockey people in obtaining talent. Don't be fooled - this guy is no Daniel Snyder...

League Considering Dropping Blackouts 15%
Kipers Hair replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would you factor in cost of seating then? Someone with a stadium charging 40% for tickets than Ralph does could argue that their 60,000 seats cost as much as 80,000 in the Ralph...This dynamic will stop that from happening... -
Fox Sports Ranking of NFL Franchises...

That is a quote from the article...not me.... -
Not much surprise here...though I diagree with giving the owner a 1...unless a 0 was not possible....ON paper, they are worse than I think they will be on the field.... 32. Buffalo Bills: 14.5 Owner: 1 Quarterback: 3.5 Coach: 3 Front office: 1 Coaching staff: 4 Intangibles: 2 I feel so terrible for the amazing and diehard Bills fans. They deserve an in-touch owner and a team with a plan. And the Bills put in pay cuts for all employees and cut pensions during the lockout. Awesome. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/green-bay-packers-are-best-nfl-organization-in-2011-rankings-060111

We didn't draft Sheppard to play the outside - Batton is being moved to the outside. I think Nix said as much...

From CNNSI - After a lackluster 2011 NFL Draft in both television ratings and quality, the hype will return next season thanks to a class loaded with talent at the offensive skill positions. Hopefully the lockout will be a distant memory by the time Roger Goodell steps to the podium next April. The 2012 draft could be shaped by a rookie salary cap after the dust settles from the labor battle. Here is a look at my (Way early) 2011 NFL Mock Draft from April of last year. No. 1 and No. 2 overall picks Ryan Mallett and Da'Quan Bowers looked relatively good throughout most of last college football season. Though this year's top guy seems a lot safer ... 1. Buffalo Bills: Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford The Bills did well drafting Marcell Dareus, but still have too many holes on defense to improve next season. You won't find a single 2012 mock draft that doesn't list Luck No. 1. Other than injury, the only possibility he'll fall is if the bar is set too high and experts pick him apart. Toronto to make a pitch for a NFL team
Kipers Hair replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any franchise in TO has an uphill battle - just like the Raptors - Players will not want to play there - Canadian taxes will kill them. I know you can argue they are successful in baseball - but 50% of the culture is not American based - it's carribean...hockey - hell 50% of them are canadien. No way I see a toronto based franchise being any good on the field... -
Bills getting 7 points....I'll take the Chiefs

Anybody watching these Gruden QB camp things?
Kipers Hair replied to Haven Moses's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Intersting - after I saw Newton, I totally saw where there is interest witht he Panthers. He understood his responsibilities and is a natural with a microphone or camera...if he a starter - he is the face of that franchise for 12 years.... -
Love the conjecture - but if we take a guy at 3 to move him to an unnatural position, it only substantiates the opinions many have with this organization. It would be like taking peterson with the idea to convert to a safety...at 15, OK, at 3 - no F-ing way. At 3, I would rather see them roll dice on Fairly to replace Stroud than Miller to move all over the place...one thing for sure, we will ruin his career.
-
Obviously a lot of people are ezxcited about the Bills getting Von Miller....to those? Where does he fit? If Merriman is healthy, Von Miller will not start over him - also, with Moats, don't we have a capable backup at that position? I know it's a big IF with "lights out", but the extension was signed...if we draft for need, wouldn't it make more sense taking a 3-4 DE or even...gulp...QB? Any thoughts - how does the line up work taking him?
-
Not happy with it - but I think you may be right. I do not think they will be taking Von Miller - he is not a fit and it would create a log jam at that spot. I think we will be taking a QB or Paterson at 3...
-
I guess this author forgot that the Bills were quarterbacked by the incomperable Willie Totten during the strike games...yes, he is a black man.
-
Yes - it's Rick. On the day of the draft, look at the Dallas Morning News for his mock - guaranteed to get more hits than anyone else out there...
-
and it's over...Steve crushed - 62% Danny Woodhead / 38% Steve Johnson

Adrian Peterson..."modern day slavery"
Kipers Hair replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And yet another reason I side with the owners.... -
Good observation - the only reason I woudl not touch Newton is he is NOT a pocket passer - his career will be 6 years if he thinks he can run in the NFL like collage. Todays NFL greats are all pocket passers - Brady, Manning, Brees, Rothlesburger...that is what we need.
-
And only if I had put a grand on the Giants to win the last World series in the spring of 2010....what were the odds? Look, we all look good when we know the outcome - in this case as you'll recall, we paid a ransom for RJ who was to QB us for the foreseeable future and we needed D-Line help...the move made sense then.

We'll Be Drafting Our Franchise QB This Year
Kipers Hair replied to Bangarang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great post - this years crop is confusing because there clearly is not one guy (like Bradford) who is markedly better than the rest....Taking a shot in round 3 would be OK, other than that, tend to more other pressing needs... Good post though. -
....exactly.
