Rob Johnson Interview With Rich Gaenzler

That should have read Fred Taylor > Rob Johnson My bad. We traded a first round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for Rob Johnson. The pick we traded was used by Jacksonville to select Fred Taylor. -

Fred Jackson > Rob Johnson -
Yeah that is kinda cheap. I'm pretty sure he makes more if you franchise him. Correction. That is not cheap. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/An-early-look-at-2013-franchise-tag-numbers.html

Bills should trade for Josh Freeman of the Bucs
1B4IDie replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"We have a trade to announce, the Buffalo Bills trade the #8 overall pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Buffalo will receive Josh Freeman. With the #8 overall pick Tampa Bay selects some crap QB that will be out of the league in 4 years." That would be a no brainer trade for the Bills that is almost certainly not going to happen. -

Which Super Bowl loser did you want to win?
1B4IDie replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never want the Jets (1), Pats (3), and Dolphins (2? or 3?) to win a single game and definitely not any of their Super Bowls. So thats kinda easy. Although I did get caught up a little in the post 9/11 Pats vs Rams Super Bowl. The Rams=Terrorists Patriots='Merica. It was pretty emotional and uplifting to see red, white, and blue in full glory. However I will never admit that in public. D'Oh! -

Plus as usual the Browns turn out to be the biggest loser in every situation. They traded Haloti Ngata to their division rival!!! Wimberly + a 6th (Oshinowo) for Halotu Ngata to thier DIVISION RIVAL!!!!??? That is even more disappointing than the Bills Maybin pick. That has to be top 5 worst/dumbest trades in NFL history. It has to be the single dumbest draft day trade, what the hell is the upside to letting your toughest Division Opponent move up 1 spot in teh draft? A 6th round pick? Only if you're the Browns. At least make them pay with a 3rd. They are taking the player you wanted to draft from you for a 6th round pick!!! It is just sooo stupid, it is hard to explain how stupid this trade is, you would have to spend an hour diagraming how stupid this trade is to clearly understand the amazing level of stupidity. It makes no sense at all to do this ever. One of the top 3 goals every year for the Cleveland Browns is to beat the Baltimore Ravens twice a season and your managements "say hmm. lets give the Ravens our pick, will cash in with a 6th round pick." What????? What???? It is amazing that this happened. If the Jets want to move up to our spot in the 2013 draft, which is one pick. You make them pay and pay steep, like a 2014 1st, or you do not ever let your division rival get in front of you. Not for a 6th. Only the Browns can beat the Bills in stupidity and ineptitude. -

Not matter what revisionist historians will tell you. Ngata was not a consensus, hands down Top 10 pick. Where as Orakpo was clearly better than Maybin in almost every aspect, PT, combine, stats, eye ball test. There were som dip **** "experts" that liked "maybin's first step" but the consensus was Orakpo would not be available when the Bills picked. The fact that the Bills could have drafted a clearly better, clearly higher rated player THAT PLAYED THE SAME POSITION as Maybin. Is far far far far far far far more disappointing than Wintner over Ngata. Then to have Orakpo go the very next pick . . .Not even close. The Level of ineptitude to evaluate Maybin over Orakpo is breath taking. -

I would be real happy with that draft too. Pettine and Jordan would make lots of Bills fans happy and Phins, Jests, and Patsies fans sad. I was hopping it would be Wilson not Jones, but I can live with Jones in the second. The fact that this makes sense means almost assuredly it will not happen. -

I would displeased. Not Maybin over Orakpo displeased but more like lil Donte over Ngata displeased. -
Yeah thanks Ramius. I must have watched those stinkers because everytime I watched EJ play it looked bad. I wanted really wanted him to be the man. On paper he is the perfect modern QB. In practice or more importantly in games he looks inconsistant. I was particularly bothered by floating the balls to wide open receivers. It was frustrating. I don't believe that is easy correctable. A QB has to have it his nature to get the ball to a receiver in order to let the receiver make a play. Not float it out there for anyone to grab. I'm probably stretching but I just don't see the killer instinct to win, you need that in the NFL. Fitz has it but he just physically incapable of performing. EJ doesn't appear to have it imo. You put Fitz' "it-ness" in EJ's body and you have a championship. I worry that coaching can't fix that. His personal interviews and the interviews of his High School and college coaches are going to be what really determines his draft stock. If a majority of his coaches say he has "it" he will go in the second. If a majority say he doesn't he could drop like a rock to the 6th. I don't think anyone, or any "expert" will know unless they have personal relationships with those people. (Which part of a scouts job.) I agree Kelly. It makes zero sense for them to zero in on Nassib. If they want to win championships, which I think Morrone wants to do, they will evaluate all prospects and stack rank them against a draft round. Its an immature line of thought to say that because Morrone coached Nassib they will drop everything else to draft him. Now Nassib may be a great prospect in his own right and the Bills may draft him but I don't think its because the organization failed to look elsewhere. Buddy said he watched every snap of Nassib's senior year. That means the organization was looking at Nassib before Marrone was onboard. I wish EJ Manuel was better. Its possible a GM and coach may be confident enough to think they can turn his physically into a franchise QB. I'd prefer the Bills draft as the second of their two QBs and see if really has a killer instinct in competition with a higher draft pick. (Jones/Wilson/Nassib/etc) Basically my personal opinion is he the very top of the 3rd tier of QBs in the 2013 NFL draft and may have the highest ceiling out of any QB in the draft.

If you could cherry pick any 2 NFL players.
1B4IDie replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Concur. See my two picks. Seriously they would snap right into place on this team and generate wins. -
John Harbaugh went from Special Teams coach to Head Coach. With a strong DC I can see Bobby April being a HC. Call me crazy. I don't care that's my imo.

Marshawn Lynch and Donte Winter. Oh wait other teams did that to us. I'd say Aldon Smith and Navarro Bowman added to the current team with be atleast a +4 in the wins column. (Man that 9ers Defense is loaded) -
And with Turner you can ask him what he thinks then do the exact opposite.

Mike Glennon - QB - NC State
1B4IDie replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Noooooo! Gaine Blabert is a stronger prospect that Glennon. I haven't seen one impressive game from him, and I tried. I really tried. I just don't get it. If you watch an actual game and not read the hype or highlight reels, you couldn't pick him out. He is an average to below average college QB. -
First 5 that Doug cuts from Chan era????????????
1B4IDie replied to metsandbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Williams can be a good Safety. The Buffalo Bills organization must try him at Safety before outright cutting him. He clearly can't play CB but he doesn't shy away from contact. -
Norv Turner is one of the worst Head Coach in NFL history. Lifetime sub .500 coach even though people keep recycling him for some reason. He is the David Wannstache of offense. His only claim to fame is he was Jimmy Johnson's OC on a team filled with HoFers at QB, RB,WR, TE, and O-line. I was hoping he would go to the Jets. I'm glad he isn't in Buffalo (we just went through a dated DC that doesn't know football in 2013). He will be fired in Cleveland before 2014 ends. Completely uninspiring move by Chud. This rings of a lack of leadership and innovation. If I were a Brownies fan I'd be pretty pissed.

You can't cut Chandler. You'd have to have an injury settlement. He blew his big long 6'7" ACL and probably won't play until the 2014 season. McGee will be cut 1st. -
Have to agree with Jerry Sullivan this time
1B4IDie replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree completely with your assessment. It is overly negative, and overly critical and the Spin level is pretty high. Plus he exaggerates Hacket's lack of experience. Plus the summary is insulting "you can find good coaches anywhere." Yeah the fact that 25% of the NFL just cleaned house because of inept coaching proves that good coaches are sitting at home unemployed because there are just so many of them. Ppppplllttt! Pure Crap.
