  1. I understand you are saying that the demand would increase and the supply is the same so the value goes up. But it makes zero sense to say its unaffordable. If you have the 4th pick. You have the 4th pick. The Cost is the ****ty season you went through the year prior. You can afford to draft a QB with the 4th pick if you have it.
  2. I said yes to both poll questions. Take a QB this year. If he sucks. Take a QB next year. You can do that now in the NFL.Geno Smith, Barkley wouldn't be Top 3 QBs next year maybe Geno Smith is #4 at best in the 2014 QB class. Now taking one of the class of 2013 QBs at #8, ummm, well if you're sold on a guy then absolutely yes. If you're not sold on a guy you still have to take a swing at #41 or the 3rd round pick. Its almost mandatory. None of this is true. 2013 really is a bad class. 2012 class was raved about before after and during. But i agree with the fact that you have got to atleast try. The franchise has never taken a QB with their first pick in the first round.
  3. Um the Broncos did leap ahead of the Bills to draft Tebow.
  4. Austin is going to be interesting. I fully expect him to go in the 2nd half of the first round. I wouldn't be shocked if he goes in 30s. Percy Harvin went #22 and imo is a head and shoulders better prospect than Austin. The Biggest issue with Harvin was that no one knew if he could convert to a full time WR coming out of Florida where he was an option back.
  5. I believe you're vastly over estimating the value of Austin and vastly overestimating the value of "quick-twitch" slot receiver. The rise of the Tight End has actually de-valued the "quick-twitch" Slot receiver. Amoendola can't stay healthy, either can Harvin. Welker is a freak that never gets appreciated just what a freak he is. Can Austin have a Welker like impact? Yes. Is a team going to trade up to draft Austin at #8? Almost impossible. Austin isn't AJ Green or Julio Jones. I'm not saying a trade down is impossible I'm saying your trade up/down target is not likely like 1/10000000000000000 likely imo.
  6. I agree that this would be gut wrenching, but isn't that a representative Buffalo Bills draft. Moving up to get Austin, in this draft that is loaded with 2nd round WRs is pretty much Science Fiction though. So you'd have to find a different trade up target for this to happen for the Bills.
  7. Nice Sunny December schedule. Most of you complain about Home games in December well now you get your wish. Overall I like it. I like a young coaching staff starting out with 4/6 home games. Then he gets to take his show on the road to close out the season. Oh and !@#$ the Patriots! See ya week 1, Marsha.
  8. I think you lost. Bal'more goes to B'Lo this year. I also think we're @Pit
  9. The Name KitchenerKaizer is being flushed down the toilet. You can edit your title newbie.
  10. The last time the Bills were @Saints was Hurricane Katrina I had tickets to the game and plane tickets that went to waste. This year I'm going to go to Tampa or New Orleans which ever is later in the Season. (Baby #2 is due in Sept.)
  11. Preference: 1. Extention that pays him as Top 3 safty in the league. 2. 2013 2nd and 2014 1st(QB trade up capital) 3. 2013 1st and 2013 3rd and some other stuff maybe a developmental WR. Not a fan but could live with if yourot gonna extend him as the highest paid safety: 2 2013 2nd round pick.
  12. You mean the longest tenured Bills coach this millenium?
  13. Semi correct Incorrect. They didn't sign Stevie until the 11th hour.
  14. Sure you can. That doesn't mean they actually have to sign. I get it, but it doesn't appear nor is there any indication that any type of negotiation is happening the year prior to these key pieces being extended. If the agent ignores then you go to the player and say, "What is the deal with your agent, we want to extend your contract and they won't return my emails. " You have a point specifically with Levitre but there is a pattern on One Bills Drive where there does not appear to be any effort to extend these guys until the last second. Except for Fitz and Kelsay.
  15. the Bills have money I disagree there. But I completely agree with the rest. The Time to Sign Wood to an extension is today. The Time to Sign Byrd to an extension is today. The Time to extend Spiller is today. Not next off season. Look it up now. You know you want those players get it done now. Not later. It makes zero sense to wait.
  16. I have doubts about Pettine's defense. I'm not taking it for a foregone conclusion that the defense will improve. See Wannstache without Jimmy Johnson. Because Pettine coached with Rex Ryan doesn't mean he will be Rex Ryan. I can see your point of view. It is a valid thought imo. That being said I saw too many poor decisions and erratic throws from Fitz to want to see one more pass from Fitz on the Buffalo Bills. Season Opener against Jets, first drive, Wide open Chandler for a first down with room to run. He skips the ball on the turf. Who knows what happens if Fitz doesn't kill that drive. The Bills starting out on the road with an early lead changes the game and doesn't let Sanchize wing the ball on our obviously not gelled defense. Just one example of Fitz' ineptitude on how it has ripple effects.
  17. [sarcasm] "Yeah Hall of Fame Guard Mike Munchak wouldn't know a good guard if one sat on his lap. " "Totally Dude! You are the smartest person around" [/sarcasm] I think there is enough blame to go around. Wanny deserves the lion share in my opinion. His inflexible "scheme" is a joke. He has lived off of Jimmy Johnson his whole career. As soon as he left Jimmy Johnson he sucked. Him and Norv Turner should be paying Jimmy Johnson dividends on any money they earn. They both are two of the worst coaches in Football history but somehow get more chances and live off of that HoF cramped Cowgirls team. Fitz on his own (de) merit proved separately that he is not a capable QB. The First Pats Game, Tenn, and St. Louis in '12 should seal the deal on Fitzaster's "potential." The Defense alone didn't lose those games. Fitzpatrick is not a good QB that is capable of making good decisions that give his team a better chance to win. (period) With the 1985 Bears defense playing on his team, I fully believe Fitzaster would find new and interesting ways to lose football games. Is Kolb a good QB that is capable of making good decisions that give his team a better chance to win? The Jury is still out, but the foreman has indicated that a decision is close and it doesn't look too good for Kolb.
  18. Completely agree. The comparison between Rob Johnson in Buffalo and Kelvin Kolb in AZ are so similar. The only difference being that AZ was smart enough to dump the chump faster than the Bills. But Fitzaster sucked and playing QB. Which is far more important than being able to take a hit. There is a very very very slim chance that if Kolb is kept clean he may not suck at playing QB. (I personally doubt it.) However the chance still remains. There is ZERO chance that Fitzaster is good at playing QB. If your QB sucks at playing QB than you don't have a QB, it doesn't matter how nice he is, where he went to school, or what he scored on the Wonderlic. Tom Brady is a dumb, arsehole by most accounts; he can sure play QB though. He played LG. Wood played RG before he moved to Center. RG is the easiest to find position on the O-Line, LG is the second easiest to find position on the O-Line. Having an athletic Guard like Levitre though lets you do neat things in the running game and screens. You can get any big dude to stand in front of another big dude for 3 seconds. Its more difficult to find an athletic big dude that can pull quickly and effectively.
  19. There is no new management. I don't know why people say that. The Fitz to Kolb move is a side step with a slim chance to be a forward step. We know Fitz definitely is not a winner. Do we know if Kolb is a winner? Signing Levitre for 8M wouldn't have hurt the Bills franchise at all. They made a decision I don't agree. That happens. Why draft a guard in the first 50 picks ever if you're never going to pay them money when they develop. Donald Jones sux. David Nelson had potential. It appears Marrone wants speed. Rhinhert was a servicable backup Nothing more. So what did they really lose? This is basically a list of non-events of off season moves aside from Levitre. There are FAs, and UDFA WRs everyear that are young and fast, not to mention the list of the best TEs throughout the early part of this century that are all Free Agents now and can still contribute. So its not that bad of an off season. Just show me the baby already.
  20. Yeah that should be a no brainier for the Jets
  21. What you're comparing is a 40 time of a player running on frozen turf in GA where he pulled up lame Vs Combine numbers in the Indi Dome in ideal temperature. The tape is what sells Jarvis Jones. Again, that is up to GMs to discern but I still don't hate Jones. Lots of risk and I would be concerbed about the spine.
  22. Looking at this positively. I don't hate any of these players. QB Geno Smith 7.60 DT Star Lotulelei 7.77 OT Lane Johnson 7.88 OG Chance Warmack 10.08 OLB Jarvis Jones 10.63 I don't overly covet or love any of these players. In the 11-20 range. The Spinal Stenosis (sp.) Its a huge risk bit that is what is keeping this attacking, aggressive LB out of the Top7. Arguably without that diagnosis he could arguably go ahead of Dion Jordan.
  23. Bucky Brooks needs a redo on that article and almost everyone he writes. It would be JJ Watt anyway.
  24. This is a horrible horrible horrible idea. I thought I saw this move before. R. Parrish.
