Good news for Torell Troupe and Marcus Easley??
1B4IDie replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You must have missed this during the offseason almost "every receiver on the roster in 2012" is no longer on the roster in 2013. (This is a good thing BTW) -

Exactly who are these players AHEAD of Easely? -
New one I've seen over and over now. "He was very good not dominant . . . No wonder why the Steelers let him walk.

Rd 1, Pick #16: QB EJ Manuel - Florida St.
1B4IDie replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh no! A thread I was on got collapsed into this insanity! Now I'm emotional. Why not just make one giant thread on TBD and everyone post in it? It makes for easy reading. -
Oh Sweetie, I had one of my spells when the Bills made that selection. Get the fans running and the AC blowing, but not too much AC it just really dries you out, doesn't it? I mean then you need some extra lotion, between taking on and off the pashminas, and the Bills taking EJ Manuel in the 1st I can barely keep my head on straight. I swear between the Thats a bit extreme. However pre draft. I said many times EJ Manuel is the best QB on paper and if you think he is your franchise* QB you take at #1 overall. There is no pick that is too high or a "reach" of you believe the QB is going to be a franchise QB. (In between those statements I also said its worrisome that he had two years to light up the ACC and really did nothing special on the field to live up to the potential he has on paper.) *A Franchise QB defined by me is one that can deal with pressure to perform constantly at a high level, raise the performance of the individuals on the team, and win playoff games and championship that would not have been one if an "average" QB were playing for the same team.

Article on Alonso's potential impact...also tidbits on EJ3

Other than RGIII and Luck when have the "experts" been correct about where QBs will be taken? Very few and far between. -
I have a custom blue rebok #15 with Ruff Buff on the back, a nd a Thurman Blue. I have burned the edwards and custom "Beast Mode" jersey (which I turned "beast Mode" into "Help wanted" with ductape and paint.) I pledged in 2009 to never buy anothe Buffalo Bills merch until they finish a season with a winning record. If the Bills ever get to 9 wins again I'll probably by something like that Polo. I'll also probably need Buffalo Bills reading glasses by then too.

A great article on why the LT position is overrated
1B4IDie replied to ny33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I brought this same point up when people were stating a case to take Fisher at #8. LTs are over rated in todays quick passing NFL. They're not taking 7 step drops in the NFL and waiting for a Receiver to run double moves. Or Pounding the ball between the tackles all game then run a lslow developing play action. Guard Play is actually more valuable in relation to Tackle play. Quick Interior Pressure in the QBs face will disrupt the Quick passing offenses. -
We should have taken Nassib in the 4th
1B4IDie replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nassib wouldn't be in the NFL draft QB conversation if Morrone didn't jump to the NFL. He is not a good prospect. Landry Jones in the 4th would have been interesting. I agree with the idea of take two QBs in the 2013 draft as opposed to two Safties in the 2013 draft. However what is done is done. I can live with it with Kolb on the roster. Landry will have time to learn behind in Big Ben. Plus Jones might be able to teach Big Ben not to be a rapist. So its a pretty good fit for the Steelers. -
Is Bills' new offense a TRACK TEAM??
1B4IDie replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously though going back to the title the Bills could qualify for the finals in the 4X100 Olympics. Not a medal but could be an also ran in the finals With CJ X TJ X Goodwin X and Gilmore. You got a shot plus Da'Rick Rodgers and McKelvin as Alternates in case someone pulls a hammy. That is a Fast squad right there. I don't think Netherlands or Japan would stand a chance. -
It would be great for the team, the franchise, the players, and the coaches. The Jests went to the AFC championship both years? There is no drawback except in the mind of you old fuddy duddies that are scared of new fangeled technology. Get that Camera off my lawn!

So Does Why So Serios?

This is a great move for the Bills. Applaud this all the way! It never hurts to get more Edge Rushers. Hughes is a hybrid player OLB/DE basically I guy that you can unleash to get to the QB. With Mario, Hughes, Kyle, & Dareus we know have 4/7 front 7 players that can play in, and have experience in both a 3-4 and 4-3. Throw in Kiko Alonso and you have 5/7 Hybrid players that can shift into unwelcome formations for opposing offenses. All really nice chess pieces. On paper a great trade for the Bills. If Pettine can unlock his potential. Shepp was never gonna contribute on this defense. He is slooooow and gets eaten up by blockers. Great character guy, I'm sure but not an NFL athlete.

Do you seriously think, this team is going to do better than 6-10? Seriously? Seriously? Kolb and a raw EJ Manuel are the QB options, you know this right? 6-10 is like 2:1 odds.

Rd 3, Pick #78: WR Marquise Goodwin - Texas
1B4IDie replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didnt we make this same pick last year. I hate this pick. I also hated and still hat the TJ pick. Total Crap. Take Demontre Moore and use him in hybrid fronts. -
There is no evidence that my prior percentage estimate was incorrect.

That trade down is a great move. Because of the trade down I am 95% sure that Justin Hunter, WR Ten, Keenan Allen WR UCLA, or Robert Woods WR USC will be a Buffalo Bill. Either at #41 or #46. If they love one more than the other they'll take one at #41. Given Buddy's predilection for players from the South and Justin Hunter's superior size making him "uncovered when he is covered" I'd have my money on Hunter. Plus Hunter visited OBD. Which I believe happened with every 1st and 2nd round pick the last 3 years. Attacking, Aggressive Defenders: The second of the two early seconds will focus on defense imo. If Cornellius Carradine falls to #41. Boom that is the pick . No Brainer. Dude is a beats and Probably first round talent. Alex Okafor has great size and is pro ready. Love this kid. In Pettine's defense he can be a sack machine. Now The weird thing leading up the draft is that the Bills focused on a Safety, a lot. A lot of interviews But in the second it could be a reach: If Shamrko Thomas from Syracuse is there in the 3rd, i think that is the pick. Wouldn't be completely shocked if they reach for him in the second with the luxury of a second a second. Watch List for #46/#41 Arthur Brown, K-State Kassem Greene Rutgers Kevin Minter ILB LSU. Visited with One Bills Driver. Like Kelvin Shepperd? Now you have two. Demontre Moore Texas A&M. Now they can shock everyone and take another QB. If Geno Smith gets past the Eagles (I'd be shocked) and is there at #41 Maybe you take your second QB early. If Ryan Nassib is there at #46 Maybe you take him there too. Gonna be interesting. Love the options.
