  1. You can't touch a receiver after 5 yards. Illegal contact downfield has nothing to do with catchability of the ball. There were three Penalties by Koochie and you can take your pick. 1.) Illegal Contact downfield - doesn't matter if ball is catchable 2.)Defensive Holding - Doesn't matter if ball is catchable. 3.) Pass Interference - You can argue ball was catchable if Gronk wasn't bear hugged in the back of the end zone. All that being said, !@#$ the Patriots and Tom Brady. This is just karma.
  2. "The shortest path to the playoffs is through your division" -Mike Smith Atlanta Falcons HC You get 6 wins there and you're likely in the playoffs.
  3. Listen. It doesn't have to be Spiller vs Jaxkson It can be Spiller and Jackson. However Jackson had to fend of McGahee, Lynch, and Spiller. When will people realize that Fred Jackson is one of the best backs in the NFL and is just better than Spiller at football. Just because Jackson wasn't drafted and went to Coe collage he still gets no respect.
  4. Exactly but The organization has the luxury of shifting blame to Nix and can take another swing at QB if the powers that be like Whaley's direction. They make Nix the fall guy if it doesn't work out and take another QB.
  5. I guess you learned everything you need to know by brushing shoulders with Bill Polian. So a GM wouldn't for example discuss draft picks directly with the fans? Oh wait what is this. GMs are very much involved in relations with the fan base but know it is all about winning. Their only real boss is the team's record. I'm not saying Doug Whaley gets on a podium and says "Buddy drafted Manuel so I need to draft my guy" that is absurd. There is a certain basic understanding I assume the reader of my post has. So thanks for clarifying that the GM won't do that. What will happen is Chris Brown will have a story about how the new QB is a Whaley kind of guy. Then another media outlet like the buffalonews will have a story with an unarmed source that says that Nix forced everyone's hand on taking a QB early because he wanted it for his legacy. Then the common public narrative changes and Manuel become Nix' guy. That's how it is done. That is if Manuel is unsuccessful. If not than the narrative will be how Whaley saw Manuel's potential when most of the NFL had him as a second round or later QB. The Bills have options in how the play out the story around the Manuel draft pick. It isn't set in stone right now.
  6. I think you had too many drinks on your boat. Your post seems like you are completely unfamiliar with sports entertainment. NFL GMs make excuses on a regular basis to the fans. A GM is not insulated at all by any stretch of the imagination. There are IF statements in my post. What exactly is far fetched?
  7. The Bills drafted Manuel while Buddy was a figurehead and Whaley was taking over. It's a perfect move for the organization because if it doesn't work out. "That was Buddy's guy, Whaley will draft his guy." If it works it out well "Whaley made the move. Buddy was just a figurehead. "
  8. Dion Jordan can play in the NFL the coaching situation is the problem like Hughes. If the fish wanted Bradham for Jordan straight up is do that too.
  9. They said 55% not 15%. How does what city the football field is on effect his response to the Blitz?
  10. How is 55% an errant throw when the NFL average for all passes is 60%?
  11. Also 55% when blitzed doesn't sound like bad percentage.
  12. The Dolphins would be a huge improvement to the current design.
  13. Injuries happen to all teams. But to your point the depth is not there on this team because of the horrible drafting. I like your idea on taking an impact defensive player on the first. It's kinda counter intuitive but the 2014 draft is looking like the top 10 is going to be heavily offensive so you might get a great defensive player that drops. The Texas A&M receiver does look like a stud. I've seen him make the catch with 3 players draped all over him multiple times. That fight for the ball translates to the NFL. He is high ceiling low risk in my opinion.
  14. At this point in time, they should issue a public apology to the world for existing, but if apologizing to Flutie could help, why not?
  15. The Bills beat the Jests and they're one game back of the 6th seed. They don't have to win out. It's a relative goal not absolute. A majority of the AFC has 4 wins. And not all these teams are winning out. Head to head is first tie breaker after the division is settled. We have the tie breaker of the Ravens. They just need to win one more game than the Jests down the stretch. Which is at least 5 probably a win out but that's the situation. Now will they actually do it based on the performance in the Steelers game. No way. But the Jests game is a playoff game for them. If they lose this weekend then even the wildest playoff hopes go out the window. WE actually get at least one more meaningful game this weekend. Now what they need in the 2014 draft is a receiver that is open when he is covered. I like the kid that makes Manzeil look good very week.
  16. I know we all want to be depressed and pissed right now but looking at the standings actually just brightened my day, for a change. At least there is one more meaningful game this season. This weekend is a playoff game. If they lose to the Jests the playoff pipe seem is officially over.
  17. The last two games were real rough. Especially since the team didn't show up in Pittsburgh. I just looked at the standings and the AFC is flat. The Jets have the 6th playoff seed at 5 wins. Now I'm realist if the Bills play like they did in Pittsburgh there is no reason to believe they can go on streak. But a win against the Jets actually puts the Bills 1 game out of the 6th seed!!!!???? What!???? Every team including the Colts, Seahawka, Ravens last year goes through a rough patch in a season. If they get their ass in gear against the Jests on Sunday. Their playoff odds go through the roof. Especially with a softer schedule after the bye. It's crazy but it's true. The season is actually breaking in the Bills favor. Now it's up to them to get hot. Flame away.
  18. After the last two games. I don't know. I haven't felt this ****ty about the Bills since the end of the Mauron era. Sometimes I wish they would just move to LA so I could be done with the constant abuse of their fan base. I'm sure I'll be back but I need to try and take a few weeks off. I don't see why I can't since the Bills took last week off too.
  19. When he blew up McCluster and prevented that first down. I was like Wow! Maybe we can pull this out. That was an impact play. Dude has a high ceiling even if there is a lot of room between the top if his head and the ceiling in most rooms.
  20. And I should be able to fly a JetPack to work by now. But the municipalities gave/give the money to the teams and made agreements that are binding. NFL has an Anti-Trust exemption, so they can participate in as much anti competitive activities as they like. Sure it may be theoretically wrong but look at the Barclay Center in brooklyn, 1/3 of that was public money and it is having a huge positive impact on that neighborhood. Public money for Arenas is not as black and white as you make it out to be, in some cases it can be a great investment for the community in some cases it can be a strain on an already strained community. Making it illegal wouldn't help the communities that saw a benefit in their investment. Good Luck on a campaign to make public funds illegal to fund stadiums and overturning the NFL's Anti-Trust exemption, you will need it.
  21. I can see Indianapolis being interested. DHB is a slob. TY is amazing but if they want to make a Super Bowl run they need some help in the receiving core. Good luck Brad don't try to be a QB/KR/WR anymore. Just focus on WR.
  22. Thanks but I was looking at the QBs on our schedule. With your information and jboy's I came up with this through week 9: Week 10: Roethlisberger has 9, Week 11: Geno Smith has 13 Week 12: Bye week, Kiko should get at least one here. Week 13: Matt Ryan has 10 Week 14: Glennon has 3 Week 15: Gabbert has 7 Week 16: Tannehill has 9 Week 17: Brady has 6 The next 3 games have some QBs that like to throw to the other team.
  23. Well he is nothing like Eric Berry. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-presents/0ap2000000250293/NFL-Films-Presents-Horsin-around-with-Eric-Berry
  24. I mean he is a great safety. Like wow! How is #23 always on the ball, great. He is now a good CB. It's great to see how he developed.
  25. Dude you're picking at that scar too hard. All McKelvin had to do was sit on the ball. Why! Why? Why???!!!
