Question for everyone....
1B4IDie replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How pissed would everyone be if they kept the logo and uniform and just called them WhateverCity Buffaloes? e.g. LA Buffaloes? Red white and blue us freaking classic. Since they got rid of the UFL dark blues they have got to have top 3 jersey in the NFL (not white on white) Classy, classic, sharp the team is doing the jersey a disservice by being such a craptastic franchise. If the new city kept the Jersey and Logo it be rough. You'd have to see all the time. -
Jerry Hughes and Mario Williams chasing history

What is the record for interior lineman ? With Jerry Ball in Techno Bowl I had 101 sacks in a season. And that was only like 8 games or so. -

Too bad they didn't tell him not to get bullied by Pierre Woods. He gave him an atomic wedgie and took his lunch money. -

The 5 Stages of Buffalo Bills Grief over the last 14 years.
1B4IDie replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't hate when you accept the team for what it is. Sorry my friend you're still much earlier on the stages of grief, it sounds like you're still in the second phase. I can't get angry anymore because I accept them to be in a nail bitter then with a 30 secs left and a 5 point lead the ball will be tipped at the line of scrimmage by the Bills defense, bounce of the helmet of Bills defender 20 feet in the air, get tipped again in a jump ball situation and then land in the hands of a wide open opponent receiver that takes it into the end zone. Then this board will say PlayerX is horrible because he should have knocked the ball down. Then others will defend PlayerX and talk about his potential. Then still others say the coaching should have prepared them to knock down the ball. This is bound to happen with this clown team. I won't be angry or upset anymore then I would be upset with a squirrel trying to get a nut. Screwing up is in the nature of the Buffalo Bills it is what they do best. -

45 seconds would be the max with no first down. I see where you're going. So you think the coaches told McKelvin to run it out? -
The 5 Stages of Buffalo Bills Grief over the last 14 years.

Nice. -
Personally I have gone through the 5 stages of Grief in my relationship with this pitiful franchise over the last 14 years and I thought I would share my personal catharsis to maybe help my fellow fans with their own grief. 1. Denial - The Music City FORWARD LATERAL 2. Anger - Fire Jauron/(insert name of coach here)!!!! 3. Bargaining - I used to buy a new Jersey every year. In 2009 I said I would not by a stitch of Bills merchandise until they finish with a winning record. (I'm stuck with a Thurman Thomas jersey since the rest of the players have all washed out) 4. Depression - I considered switching and becoming a Houston Texans fan (Logic - As an expansion team I wouldn't be missing out on too much of the previous history. However I realized Houston was located in Texas and was forced back to the Bills). 5. Acceptance - The Buffalo Bills are the Washington Generals of the NFL. The role of the Buffalo Bills is to try real hard and provide the comedy foil when they fail. This has been proven by a preponderance of evidence. Including, not one, but TWO - "Wooooops! You can have the ball" moments in critical times on Sunday. Finding new and interesting ways to lose is what the Buffalo Bills do best. If you can stand back and appreciate how difficult it is to play as many close games and make as many individual, self-inflicted mistakes as the Bills have made it is quite amazing. Here are some examples if you need proof: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/164092-list-of-washington-general-moments-by-the-buffalo-bills/ There are many more examples. I'm all out of hope for next year. I only expect close games and amazing screw ups in 2014 and beyond. (Whistling sweet Georgia Brown)

List of Washington General moments by the Buffalo Bills

How is a Kickoff return considered clock management? Watch how many seconds the next kickoff return takes? The clock is stopped in the last two minutes after a kickoff returner is tackled. You know what, you're not called captain Hindsight for Nothing. I couldn't find the video but that image has been burned in my memory. I do remember it looking weird, where he could have been worried that he caught the ball in the field of play and carried it backward in the endzone. That actually would make a lot more sense to return it, in that situation. So if that is the case, it's less of a Washington Generals moment. Although didn't he basically get picked up in the air by one player then stripped by another player? If so that would put the incident back into the Washington Generals category. -

The game is not over if McKelvin runs it back for a TD. The game is over if McKelvin sits on the ball and the Bills offense gets 1 first down. You play to win the game. Running it out does not help you win the game. -

It can't come soon enough finding ways to lose is in the DNA of the Bills. It's the Buffalo part of the Buffalo Bills I root for. If they leave Buffalo I'd root for the Ravens. I live in the DC area and hate the redskins. I'd cheer double loud for the Ravens when the clobbered the LA Bison (they wouldn't have to change the logo. ) -

He ran it back because he had a few good returns and wanted to show off on national television. When the non selfish thing to do was take a knee and let the offense pick up one first down. Those are All heArt breakers. But I'm going for those moments where someone passes to the wrong team obviously, like the Washington Generals. Those games were just all general bad play. That's the spirit. Now how is a LB supposed to fall over himself from the worst okie-doke in history by one of the slowest NFL players in the history of the NFL. It can't be real. -

Thats not what the history books say. S.Gostkowski kicks 72 yards from NE 30 to BUF -2. L.McKelvin to BUF 31 for 33 yards (P.Woods). FUMBLES (P.Woods), RECOVERED by NE-S.Gostkowski at BUF 31. S.Gostkowski to BUF 31 for no gain (J.Wendling). -
It is hard to believe the sheer volume of incidents where the Buffalo Bills players have committed amazing acts of self inflicted mistakes. I am starting to believe that the games may be staged like the Harlem Globetrotters vs Washington Generals. Let us recount the unbelievable mishaps that Bills players have made throughout the years that couldn't possibly have all been innocent mistakes. 1. 9/14/2009 - New England Patriots - For no apparent reason Leodis McKelvin returns a kick 8 yards deep in the endzone. The team was up by five points and only need to run clock. Leodis Proceeds to fumble the kickoff return, putting the Patriots in position for the game winning TD pass. 2. 10/24/2010 - Baltimore Ravens - In OT Shaun Nelson receives a pass close to FG range. Is gang tackled and push backwards, ~5 seconds after his forward progression is stopped, the ball is ripped lose. Ravens kick game winning FG. 3. 11/28/2010 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Stevie Johnson drops wide open pass in OT with no one near him. 4. 10/14/2012 - Arizona Cardinals - Did everything in their power to lose to the Cards in OT but somehow still won. (This is akin to the one win that the Washington Generals have. ) 5. 10/21/2013- Tennessee Titans - George Wilson drops game ending Interception in 4th QTR when the ball hits him right in the numbers. 6. 11/11/2012 - New England Patriots - TJ Graham hangs a ralph when he was supposed to hang a Louie. Result is game ending INT. 7. 12/9/2012 - St. Louis Rams - George Wilson drops game ending Interception in 4th QTR when the ball hits him right in the numbers. (This is where it gets obvious, because this was a repeat from earlier in the "Season") 8. 11/11/2013 - Kansas City Chiefs - An Undrafted Rookie Free Agent QB throws a 100 yard pick 6 - (Now this is where it gets too obvious, what NFL team would start an Undrafted Rookie Free Agent QB and why would he throw a pass to three Kansas City Chief Defenders - Washington Generals, much?) 9. 12/1/2013 - Atlanta Falcons - Not One but two fumbles in FG range one in the last seconds of the game that would allow the Bills to win the game. The second in OT. (Come on now, thats just too outlandish) That is just off the top of my head. I'm sure you all have some more moments that prove the NFL is rigged and the Buffalo Bills are the Washington Generals of the NFL.

12/1 Bottom Line: Who we want to win this weekend
1B4IDie replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We actually want Pats to win next four. So that they have nothing to play for in week 17. At least may not have anything to play for in week 17. I broke down to this, if Bengals and Bills win out and Pats go 4-1. The Bills are in the playoffs. -
Well as of right now we draft 6th
1B4IDie replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is very astute. I agree completely. Look for a TE in the 3rd there will be one. TEs are also great for Special Team play. A TE in teh NFL has to help block NFL quality Edge Rushers, Run Block with great technic against NFL quality LBs and DEs, run great routes, no when to block and no when they are the hot read. It is a very complicated position and as pointed out above having a great combine and being 1st round quality athlete doesn't mean you can do all of those things at a high level. It takes years to develop. Probably one of the most difficult positions to transition to the the NFL. You're much better off finding a big freak edge rusher or a big freak offensive tackle or a big freak Defensive lineman that are 1.) hard to find body types and 2.) have a higher chance for an immediate impact. -

The Bills next 4 games are Atlanta (2-9) in Toronto. @Tampa (3-8) @Jacksonville (2-9), and Miami in Buffalo in December. Even the most pessimistic Bills fan has got to think they're going to come away with a winning record in those 4 games and a Top10 pick isn't going to happen given the log jamb of AFC teams with 4 and 5 wins so far this season. The Bills are realistically heading for 8-8 and the 19th Pick in the draft. However, every true Bills fan should see 9-7 and a 6th seed in the playoffs as a real outcome given the way the season is going in the AFC. If you are too bitter and jaded and can't even catch a glimpse of that possibility, why are you here? -
Just about everything broke the right way for the Bills. Now the Bills have to take care if business the next 5 Sundays. I know! I watched Wallace off the line and they just let him run free, no jam and he was wide open for 40 yards and got past the safety. There should have been 3 people all over him.

The greatest thing about the Bye week. Red Zone Channel all day! Who else will be watching?
-
The Ankle explains the stat. The stat is difference in Yards after contact.
-
He has a half broke ankle the last month. Its hard to power through a tackle when you're gimpy. This isn't a mystery.
-
I get the sentient but 4.29 40 is Olympic speed even if he didn't go to the Olympics as a long jumper. Goodwin's combine 40, run in the same exact environment with the same amount of time to prepare as 4.41. It's not a mystery who is faster.
-
Its because Graham has no Ball skills. He runs in a straight line and doesn't look back and adjust to the ball. A pass needs both parties to participate especially a long ball. A QB doesn't just throw it long and then it miraculously hits the WR in stride when they're running fast. The WR adjusts based on the trajectory of the ball. Graham makes no adjustments.

[closed]Bills Best Playoff Scenario Chance
1B4IDie replied to Coach55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is actually the lowest percentage scenario for the Bills to make the playoffs. The 6 the playoff seed is up for grabs and the Bills are in the thick of it with anyone. They need to run the table obviously.
