  1. Given the history, Chuck had to be a family friend. You wonder if this was part of the motivation behind moving on early?
  2. Agreed Plus Morrone needs to sell them on why they should want to stay.
  3. No. !@#$ him over and double !@#$ Pettine over. Zero tolerance. No one goes to Cleveland this late in The game. Tough titty Mike
  4. Screw Pettine. He used this rinky-dink clown organization to get a HC gig at 3 ring circus. I hope they feed him to the lions. He always had too much Jest for my comfort.
  5. Great post. The Bills had to be expecting this move in 2015. It get accelerated but I'm sure this week they were working the phones to get a DC lined up. Or Donnie Henderson stole enough from Pettine to make him the DC.
  6. The good news is. I'm pretty sure the Bills expected to have Pettine for 2-3 years before he left as a HC. At least that was an obvious contingency so if they were smart they were working to develope someone to understand that attacking strategy that will stay on the team.
  7. He is 47. He actually is guaranteed to get another shot at HC. There are 6 openings on average every year. He must think he is the smartest Man in the room since the rest of the candidates seem to have bowed out.
  8. Its clearly not ridiculous to think that firing your Head Coach after one year and then desperately searching for anyone willing to take the gig is a bad idea. Just ask any of the Browns players. Yes they have Talent but the FO is a mess. It is actually reasonable to stay away from this HC position just asked all the candidates that refuse to interview or bowed out of the "competition".
  9. What are you smoking? Rob you're not in the house I think you're somewhere in outer space. Who is talking about Demands? It is an opportunity but if had any confidence he would know that there will be better opportunities in the near future. Many prominent decision makers see the situation very similarly. i.e. Jim Harbaugh lived it.
  10. Exactly the people that are focusing on the contract forget that the money is going to be there. If he is Head Coaching for money that he is in the wrong business. If Pettine actually wants to be a successful head coach that wins games the Browns Three Stooges have proven that they don't really get it. (Not that the Bills are much better but use another year of being a successful DC to get one of the 6 HC jobs that will open up next year, (it may even be Cleveland again))
  11. If you don't understand at this point in time you never will. Pettine will have opportunities to interview for HC next year but if he looks like a desperate puppy with no pride willing to take **** from a screwed up organization his value as a HC and leader goes down. How is going to lead the team as the "Fall Back" Plan Head Coach?
  12. In January 2014, the "Three Stooges" <ref>http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24392157/reporter-asks-browns-owner-haslam-if-team-is-run-by-three-stooges</ref> of the Cleveland Browns held one of the most ridiculous coaching searches in NFL history. Desperately searching for any coaching candidate that would be interested in being the Head Coach of an organization that recently fired a Head Coach after one year, the team held round after round of interviews. Including interviewing their "fall back option" <ref>http://www.ohio.com/blogs/cleveland-browns/cleveland-browns-1.270107/espn-s-adam-schefter-says-browns-may-have-a-curve-ball-coming-in-coaching-search-1.461064</ref>, Mike Pettine, an almost unheard of, three times. This type of lack of leadership and decision making does not bode well for the future of the organization.
  13. Is no news good news or bad news? I forget.
  14. No way Watkins falls but if he does that seems like another trade down opportunity. Is love to see that happen. He plays like a talented, fast Stevie Johnson. If Watkins is there you kind of have to pull the trigger or hopefully find a trade down partner and pull an additional top 50 pick.
  15. Yeah give him a spin and see what he has left in the tank. Worst case he is camp fodder.
  16. There are 7 picks in the draft. Having an Oline vs WR argument makes no sense.
  17. Ok so this is a pretty sorry list. Smith is about the only solid contributor to a Super Bowl winning team. Lodish Bob Chandler Paul Warfield Don Beebe Dallas long snapper It seems unnaturally short. What does it mean?
  18. We were struggling to come up with names of players drafted by the Bills that won a Super Bowl. Antowain Smith was all I could personally pull. I can't remember who else we came up with last night. Anyone know of any?
  19. Most realistic situation is the Music City Miracle is the result if the curse of Flutie. Hours later the Bills **** canned Reed, Smith and Thomas by fax and they were notified through the media. That fax was possessed by Flutie and the Bills couldn't announce it was an accident and the fax had a mind if it's own so they had to go with the unceremonious release. Moorman and Billy Buffalo are the demonic incarnations of the curse. Both Billy Buffalo and Moorman have been here through the complete playoff curse. Think about it, have you actually seen Moorman play for Seattle? No Pittsburgh State? Yeah sure who has ever heard of that football program? No one. He is from WITCHita, Kansas? Has anyone ever visited WITCHita ? No, because it doesn't exist. He is a sucubus straight from hell sent to enforce the curse of Flutie and ensure the Bills miss the playoffs for all eternity. The contract Whaley signed now ensures failure for all of Whaley's tenure. It is so obvious.
  20. He doesn't pass Baltimore. If Evans run 4.65 40 and Benjamin puts up a great time, Benjamin may even be the second WR off the board.
  21. Yeah I want him to succeed but I'm not holding my breath on that.
  22. I'm sorry. I don't like it when people go after our esteemed sports Journalists that take the time to post here but that statement really bothers me. 1.) This simply isn't true. 2.) in 2014 you don't have years to build anything let alone Special Teams "Core" Players. 3.) What other Head Coach in the NFL, in the history of the NFL, has ever said "We need to develop 5 or 6 core special teamers." It is the lamest excuse I have ever heard. It's worrisome that you've A.) Fallen for that excuse B.) Regurgitate the excuse. That being said normally I find your writing quite interesting and your take on the Bills refreshing. I'm just going to chalk this up to being in off-season mode.
  23. TJ Graham is hated for many very valid reason. 1.) He can't catch. 2.) He can't run routes 3.) He was a reach draft pick If you are in the minority and think TJ Graham still has "potential," awesome for you!
  24. Correct. Chris Carter has no business being in the Hall of Fame. Incorrect. Read the post.
