Ok that makes more sense. I just can't see Ebron going top 10 by real world GMs. In 2014 as much as Evans has the ceiling of a Marshall/Jeffries/Vincent Jackson getting extra picks in this talent laden draft is a huge bonus. So trade back and stay in the top20 with an extra 2nd all day long. If the 3 QBs go top 8 then a top tier prospect will fall that a team may be willing to trade up to get. So I said it before and I'll say it agin root for the QBs to go early call the Jags, Browns, and Texans GMs and tell them how much Bortles, Manziel and bridgewater are can't miss prospects. We want those QBs off the board to push the real talent down.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I highly doubt any actual, real world GM has a TE that did nothing impressive at the combine ranked as a Top 9 prospect. Ebron's film is good but in no way is he like Vernon Davis. David was a physical, freak of nature that was option 1a, 1b, 2 and 3 at Maryland. Every DC knew they were looking at Davis and he still performed. When I look at Ebron and I look at AS-J I don't see Ebron that far ahead of AS-J. The Bills fans have had a boner for a TE since Pete left and that seems to be the real driver by Bills fans in pushing Ebron up the board so high. That and fantasizing over Gronk coming back to Buffalo. Which Ebron is not anywhere near Gronk and has no potential to be that dominant.

Noooooo! My dynasty team is predicated on Cam's pinball numbers.

Have you seen the 2015 FA WR group?

2015 FA starts in April 2014 with extending Dareus. Then you can dream about AJ Green, Julio Jones and Dez Bryant … never gonna happen. -

Dork, in case you guys didn't know the Bills have missed the playoffs for the last 15 years, therefore anything that they have ever done or will ever do is utterly hopeless and doomed to fail because they have missed the playoff for the last 15 years. Duh -
I'm going to keep positing this until the erroneous 5M guaranteed figure disappears. Chris Williams is actual given 3.M guaranteed. 2014 - Chris Williams - 1.435 not Guaranteed 2015 - Chris Williams - 1.875 not Guaranteed 2016 - Chris Williams - 2.45 not Guaranteed 2017 - Chris Williams - 2.5 not Guaranteed 3.5M Signing Bonus - Guaranteed. http://espn.go.com/b...lliams-contract This is not a significant financial commitment. If he is cut after the 2014 season he would cost less than 3M in Dead Money. If he is cut after the 2015 season he would cost less than 2M in Dead Money. I don't understand how this contract gets people's panties in a bunch. He is a paid like a 6th man on the o-line. I bet they let him compete at RT too.

Exactly, unlike the piss poor media analysis would leave you to believe. Chris Williams is signed to a 6th man o-line contract. He can compete for the starting LG spot if he wins. I bet they try him out at RT too. -

What specifically didn't you like about Evans? Big, strong, fast, that catches the ball at the High point? Very consistent and productive over his multi-year college career. The 2014 draft is a draft where the perfect jigsaw piece might fall to the Bills at the right time. Evans. Yes the Bills need a RT. Why would you spend a #9 overall on a RT when you spent the #41 on a left tackle. It just doesn't seem like the Bills will make that move. The need for a safety is extremely exaggerated and an emotional knee jerk reaction to Byrd walking away. Most teams can't spell the name of their Free Safety. With this team I'm guessing it will be spelled Williams in September. It's definitely not a P1 need. I don't see the Bills going defense either. Ebron is not an extremely athletic freak of nature. ASJ is basically the same and may be better. To take a TE at #9 IMO they would have to blow Vernon Davis' numbers up in the combine to even be considered that high. His numbers aren't that close and their definitely not over Davis' numbers. Ebron looks like a slightly smaller Jermaine Gresham to me. Again I just don't see the Bills FO making that pick. I doubt an NFL franchise has Ebron that high.

This so full with preposterous straw-man arguments I think you may actual be the real Thurman Thomas. 1.) You can say Jared Allen as many times you want. It doesn't prove that guaranteed money and signing bonus are less important. He played out his contact. Awesome, Jared Allen played out his entire contract you found the exception that proves the rule. 2.) There is no dishonesty in any of my posts. There may have been an honest mistake. I said 11 instead of 8.8. You can hang out to that if you want. It is just more evidence of how unreasonable you are. 3.) What does this arbitrary 9m dollar number you keep bring up have to do with anything? 4.) The only thing you proved is you're unreasonable poster that can't make a logical argument based on actual evidence that occurred. Instead you can bore everyone with be labored straw-man arguments and nit pick technicalities. -
I think Winston could have been mentored by a brick wall. That kid is special. EJ is headed to ESPN/CBS/NBC/ABC/NFLNetwork/FOX after, hopefully a 20 year career and at least 3 Super Bowl rings.

I really like that list. I'd have Austin S-J and Gabe Jackson as 1a and 1b. 9 of the 11 penciled in defensive starters are top 50 picks + Kyle Williams. I think the offense needs a little love in the Top50. Again this list has a low bust potential and that's what's got me excited about the 2014 draft. We should have 3-4 solid prospects that can contribute day 1. Still realizing any receiving option will take a couple years to fully develop.

EJ Manuel is right out of central casting. Dude's body is tailor made to be an NFL QB. I really hope he can put it together. If he does he won't just be the face of the franchise he'll be one of the faces of the NFL.

Of course dead money is important. In 2017 the New Orleans Saints decide do I want to pay a 30 year old safety 9M and have 11 mil against the cap or do I only want a 2.5 mil cap hit in dead money. It's a real decision that will be dictated by Byrd's play. But they have that decision because the contract is structured that way on purpose. I don't understand why you think 2 million compared to 11million would compel the saints to keep him. It's pretty easy for a team to eat that 2 mil if Byrd isn't playing at a 1st team all pro level. Secondly if you really believe that NFL teams and NFL players believe that they will pay and play an entire contract like that when they set them up I can't have a discussion with you. NFL FOs negotiate contracts so that players can be cut and minimize cap impact. NFL player's agents negotiators contracts to maximize guaranteed money. Both could care less if the contract is played out or not. It is Byrd's personal best interest to play well and get cut next year and sign another contract with guaranteed money. It is the Saints best interest to re-no this contract or cut Byrd by 2018 if he isn't playing at a 1st team all pro level. Both parties know this right now. They have no illusions of the reality of NFL contracts. Most Big Money contract do not play out. That is an indisputable fact of the NFL. If you choose to reject that fact you can do that, that doesn't make it any less of a fact. -

The issue isn't that Graham is lying or that his source is incorrect. Which are both possibility. The issue is that an average of 7.5 M a year is a meaningless piece of information. If the Bills offered similar guaranteed money 26-30M and similar signing bonus then the Bills were in the same ballpark. I believe Warrow's 30M in the first 3 years. So you're telling me that the Bills offered him 15M over the last 3 years? That seems dubious. knowing that Berry's 6 year 60M is the benchmark I find it hard to believe the Bills offered 6 years 45M. That is the same as not giving an offer. Again no one has gone public with complete info. Warrow and Graham do not have the complete info but Graham's 7.5M a year number is just kind of meaningless info that doesn't add up. -

At this point in time 9/11 penciled in starters are top 50 picks. FS is a question mark and the 11th is Kyle Williams. The athletic talent and raw potential is extremely high on defense. -

Yeah I read that too that doesn't mean it's accurate or the bloggers opinion is correct. http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/8050/breaking-down-chris-williams-contract Only 3.5 mil is guaranteed but you have to assume he will play all of 2014. With a base salary if 1.5 million. Again not really compelling numbers that force the Bills to start him. Worst case he is a swing man for depth at has the contract that goes along with a depth player. Thank you! Oh I Billieve. The question is now do you Billieve me? I don't think we'll hear "43 is the Mike" out of Brady's mouth in 2014! -

Why do you waste your time on this board and this team? Btw Your numbers are wrong. The real numbers do not guarantee anything beside a chance to start at LG. And even if your numbers were correct how does ~1.4 mil a year over 4 years in guarantees "say Williams is the starter?" -

That is why I said this is an excellent FA class. They're going after Low cost FAs that address the Bills' weak points. It is a big change from FO's of the past. -

The biggest problem is he makes 1.5 mill to 2.5 a season and people act like the Bills broke the bank. I don't get it. It's a really cheap contract. The 3.5 mil signing bonus is the head scratcher.
