  1. I'd like this: 9 OT GREG ROBINSON AUBURN 41 TE TROY NIKLAS NOTRE DAME 73 RB TRE MASON AUBURN 109 DE WILL CLARKE WEST VIRGINIA
  2. I'm on my way to the Chucky Cheese on Sheraton ans Harlem right now. I'll tell you if I see any long snappers there.
  3. Excellent mock. Great reasoning and research of the players and their fit on the teams. This is a level of magnitude better than McShay or Kiper. Nice work. That being said I think the Bills wouldn't sell that cheap but I think you're right that the points wouldn't be in Bills favor. They could sell it at a discount just not that big of a discount. In your imaginary conversation if the Gi'nts said a 4th the Bills would say you can do better than that. It's going to be interesting to see how The off field issues effect Lewan. It's going to be tough for a GM to make their first round pick a guy that said to a girl that believes she was rapped "drop the chargers or I will rape you again". It'll be a media nightmare especially in NYC's circus. He fell to the 2nd I wouldn't be surprised. It'll be hard to usher LEWAN our for the photos and websites updated with that looming over his head. If someone has two firsts it might help. Then you can keep Lewan in the shadows and push out the other pick for media attention. Talent wise Lewan is a Top 10 pick. I personally going to be watching that closely on draft night.
  4. Why do you think 5'9" is a liability for a RB? 5'10" 220 has been considered the ideal height and weight of a RB for decades. The weight has come down a bit. But MJD and Ray Rice are little bowling balls. Chris Johnson, CJ Spiller, McCoy, and Jamal Charles are all very similar height and weight at 5-11 ~200. Even Lynch is 5-11 215. Why would 5'9" be a liability for a RB?
  5. Just to be clear. Yes Lewan is the "3rd best tackle prospect" however there is very little question with his talent. Barr, Ebron and Mosely are very pedestrian talents and not very special. There are major questions with their talent level. I don't want Lewan on the Bills because he said quote " if you don't drop the chargers I will rape you again" to a young woman that thinks she was raped. He didn't do the alleged rapping. His roomate, the kicker, may have been the attacker. That just seems really really out there and super creepy. The Ohio State fight "break up" / fan beating also goes to character. If these issues never happened, he may actually be the "the #1 or #2 ranked tackle" on talent alone. There is an order of magnitude greater potential in Lewan than Barr or Mosley by a consensus. So don't get positional rankings confused with overall potential of the prospects.
  6. . . . And it should go without saying that all QBs are off the table at #9 by OBD and will not be drafted so you don't have to list them.
  7. At #9 I don't want Ebron or CJ Mosley they would be a complete waste of a pick when looking at opportunity cost. There is identical talent available later in the draft. There is nothing exceptional about Eric Ebron or CJ Mosley over their peers in the draft. The Bills first round pick has visited OBD in a pre draft visit since Maybin So let's look at people that are possible firsts. OT Jake Matthews WR Watkins TE Ebron WR Evans WR Beckham Love = OT Jake Matthews, WR Watkins, WR Evans (if any of these 3 fall to #9 I expect a Spiller like sprint to the podium) Hate = TE Ebron WE Beckham. (If the people in the love category fall OBD better start working the phones) Let's hope there are some more visits to OBD.
  8. Out if curiosity. What didn't you like about Jace Amaro? When I watch Ebron film I just see nothing special. A solid prospect, but nothing that makes me think Top 10 draft pick.
  9. Stand up! There is no such thing as excessive standing at a sporting event. If your candy ass wants to sit down then go home.
  10. A S-J, Hyde and Walt Aikens visited today.
  11. Completely Agree If Watkins, Evans, Clowney, Mack are gone (Likely) then there isn't really anyone I'm too amped about taking. What tipped me in favor of the RT at #9 for me is the realization that there is no depth behind Cordy Glenn. If he goes down LT is a huge liability. So drafting a RT #9 overall that can swing to LT in a pinch is actually a huge priority. Especially when there is an equally talented TE available at #41.
  12. Wow. He goosed a girl in a bar on Spring break in some po' dunk Georgia town and he gets brought up on chargers and kicked off the team. And in some strange twist of fate Aaron Murray gets his shot at QB. You can't make this stuff up. Crazy. Would be better if the girl is Aaron Murray's cousin.
  13. You're allowed to have that opinion. I don't agree that a 6-4 TE gives you a huge advantage or is anyway special in the NFL in 2014. Jimmy Graham can eat his breakfast off the top of Eric Ebron's head. They are not similar. I'd take any of the similarly talented TEs at #41. I'd have TE written in ShArpie right now on the draft board. Unless there is a precipitous fall like Cordy Glenn, the Jake Mathews is an order of magnitude more talented then the TEs IMO and well worth the #9 overall pick if he falls.
  14. If at least 1 of the 5 were guaranteed to be available at #41 would you take any at #9 overall?
  15. There is absolutely nothing special about Eric Ebron. Which one of these TEs would you like: (The Stats are from their last college season.) Height Weight 40 Time Reps Vert Jump Arm Length Hand Size Rec Yards TD Drop % 6/5 265 4.74 28 33 34 9 98 1240 7 7.69 6/4 250 4.6 24 32 33.25 10 55 895 3 11.43 6/6 265 4.76 25 31.5 33 10.25 26 253 6 DNQ 6/7 270 4.86 27 32 34.12 10 28 422 5 8.57 6/6 262 4.75 20 DNQ 33.75 9.75 36 450 8 5.41
  16. I think they're worse.
  17. Look at the Bills lists of visits. They are late first rounders. The Bills are looking at capitalize on players that fall lower than their projections and or trading back. I think there is a solid chance Mettenberger falls to the 3rd. If so the Bills will be there. I think there is 0.0000001% chance the Bills take a QB at 41 or before. Now if they trade back and get a second 2nd. Maybe.
  18. I think you're reading into this too much. The Bills invested a #1 pick in a QB. He showed some potential (not much imo) for success and some potential for concern. Everyone in the world paying attention expects the Bills to take a QB 3rd round or later for depth. The rumors of the Bills moving up were never linked to Manziel not once. The prevailing assumption in a dubious rumor was that the Bills would move up for Clowney. Taking Mettenberger in the 3rd in no way means that EJ is not the man. Now no one is really impressed by EJ at this point in time, but Bruce Smith looked like a huge bust after his rookie year. So I'm not ready to completely give up.
  19. Sweeping the Patriots gets you a key to the city and on the Wall of Fame at this point in time. A boy can dream …
  20. I think my uncle used to call his "friends" a Dumbrowski. Must have been this guy's family.
  21. I think the best analysts use a mirror selfie for their photo and uses their phone to record their screen to make Vine videos. A+ for resourcefulness. One suggestion ask a buddy, friend, sibling, parent, or stranger to take a picture of you and or use the front facing camera for the selfie next time. C for content. The article mostly just states the obvious.
  22. Replays on cell phones! Sunday ticket is shutdown in the stadium, because of the local broadcast. Sometimes I want to see what just happened and the Tron may doing some applause o netter crap. It is technically possible.
  23. Phew. That Mathews visitation allows me to sleep at night. If Evans or Mathews are there at #9 that has to be the pick.
  24. If you have any details that will be cool.
