  1. My major gripe is his Hurry Up and Punt Offense. If we had Aaron Rodgers at QB Hackett would look like a genius. However the hurry up clearly hasn't clicked yet we still run it. At this point in time there should be an adjustment to a ball control clock killing offense that will keep our defense rested. There are atleast 2 games that may have been wins last season if we didn't Hurry and punt so much.
  2. I was at the last Bills game in Soldier field it was like 51-7. I don't even really what to know the score it was painful.
  3. Good assessment by B-ell-y-iot I hope the Bears coaching staff did as much research as the rest of the posters. . . . and I think BearsinHouston should post more often. On the Brightside if Cutler gets flustered by the D-Line and plays gunslinger The Bills Secondary might get some real opportunities to get the ball back. On the downside, if the defense gets a turnover the better start latering the ball all over and trying to get in the endzone like it is the last play of the game because the O won't be getting in the endzone.
  4. Fitzy and Stevie had something special. If the 9ers do cut him, the Texans should sign him if they are really going to start Fitzy. Every other QB in the NFL wouldn't know what to do with him. If you're not where they expect you to do be, why would an NFL QB ever throw you the ball.
  5. I still have 3 pre season games on my DVR. When I have time I definitely going to check that.
  6. Also it is great Reading material When you have to
  7. Just finished listening. Agree. Good Point WSS, Kelso backs up that philosophy.
  8. In summary our method of losing preseason games is not sustainable?
  9. Does this include All22?
  10. He had long kicks. I don't know about hang time. I commented a few times that the punts were long line drives that out kicked the coverage. They looked like hail marry passes more than punts with good hang time. I guess we will see if this Gay guy is any good at hanging his balls out there so they can be received in the rear of the punt coverage.
  11. I forgot we signed the greatest college quarterback of his generation, in his own mind. That commercial where Leinert is in dinner talking to Heath Shuler and "they're going back to college" and The Boz walks in and says "take me with you" that is hilarious.
  12. Why is Palmer some kind of slang for something in the Glbt community?
  13. OBD is searching for any players named Jordan. Player searches also include Kobe, Magic and any other NBA greats. Looks like Morman may not be a forgone conclusion.
  14. I picked up Wright in my Dynasty league. I had to start him last year against the Bills and he caught a TD. I wonder if Gronk ain't healthy enough to play or if they just want to run two TE sets. If all you're asking the guy do is go in and run a seam route he doesn't need a lot of time to get up to speed. I can't imagine he will be in for plays where he will have pass protect Brady. Interesting late Pre-Season move for the Pats.
  15. Tru Dat. For the long term benefit of the team they have no motivation to let him off the NFI. NFI all season means the Bills can match any offers he gets when his rookie contract is up. He won't be going anywhere if he is a RFA at the end of his rookie contract.
  16. Plus McCown would have to Brain dead to believe it is an open competition, but thats besides the point.
  17. Check the on taptalk on my phone regularly. Probably too regularly. Matter of fact now that you me mention it I really should get something better to do with my free moments . . . Ah who am I kidding! I'm addicted to the Bills.
  18. He deserves a timeout for some of his blog posts.
  19. Here is one all you Anti-Ejites can frame: "The one thing we dont want to do is just to hold on to people just to make ourselves look right, general manager Doug Whaley told Ben Volin of the Boston Globe on Monday. Thats a lesson weve learned. Hey, lets cut bait and move on." http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=buffalo-bills&id=12542&src=desktop
  20. Given the time of the injury. If he has a Adrian Peterson like physiology he could in theory give it a try around week 10. It'd probably be better if he had some practice reps late in the season to prepare him for OTAs and 2015 camp if he is able. It's probably better than 15 months away from football if his body is healed.
  21. It doesn't appear to be a stellar move. I guess we will see what he's got in 54 hours or so.
  22. Actually we've already been through this, Who specifically could they have gotten? McCown understands how the backup QB and NFL franchises work probably better than you. If a team drafts a QB in the 1st round in 2013 then signs a vet FA QB in 2014, generally the entire franchise is there trying to support the 1st round pick as the starter and the veteran FA 's job is generally to demonstrate how to be a pro to the young QB. That might be how McCown might see the situation but who knows. But it is fun to vent about what they could have done with Josh Freeman or Matt Flynn, right? Jimmy Clausen Trent Edwards Jason Campbell and on and on. How could you NOT pick a winner?
  23. I know man. It is ok. Take a breath. You got to let the silly folks vent and not react. It is August 26th, 2014 there is no possible way to bring in someone to "Push EJ" it is silly to suggest. Don't even react to those posts. I wish you could categorize posters. It would be nice if you could create a good bad and indifferent category then tag people in each category. The posts posted by the people in the Good would be highlighted in Green, Bad Red, and Indifferent would be yellow. That way you can just scroll through and quickly see if there is anything worth reading. Not that you want to ignore all the bad posters. They are entitled to post, but I'm also entitled to dismiss silly statements.
  24. That is correct McCown was not considering signing with a team where there was a clear incumbent. He is 35 and wants to start. He is parlaying throwing to the best WR pair into the league into a nice FA contract and a chance to start. His 112 yard performance with 1TD and 1 INT on Saturday is about where he will be in the regular season in Tampa imo. 1.) McCown didn't want to sign behind EJ on the Bills 2.) I don't believe it is a forgone conclusion that McCown in Buffalo is an improvement and/or will Lead to more wins; which is what is ultimately about. So its much ado about nothing, (like usual)
  25. I keep seeing Ponder mentioned. You guys know that EJ backed up Ponder at Florida State? I think it would have a real weird clubhouse vibe if Ponder were picked up to backup EJ (and possibly take his job when he sucks.) I just don't think clubhouse wise it would happen.
