  1. He ihasn't played solid all season. why would he start on Detroit?
  2. I can't believe this thread exists. TJ Graham is not a football player. The Book is out on him. He runs fast but can't catch. The Book is out on EJ. Looks like a QB from central casting, afraid to throw ball in a game. If you defenses would cover TJ freaking Graham with a CB in man coverage and a safety over top you must have lost your mind. Defenses would just let him run know EJ would never throw it Nd if he didn't they would connect. it's up to TJ and EJ to prove to D-Cos they would need this type if coverage. These hypotheticals are just the worst because there is Nfw the Bills would sign TJ !@#$ing Graham. He is just the worst "WR" the Bills have had this millennium.
  3. Ask your VP what would happen to the VP if he fired an employee for beating their wife. Then when everyone asked him about the employee beating their wife, the VP said he didn't have knowledge about the employee beating his wife and the employee left for family reasons. (Even though the VP did have knowledge about the employee beating their wife) The Answer: Nothing would happen to the VP.
  4. When did Goodell become responsible for solving all the social ills in our country? His job is to sell football to the public not end drug abuse, child abuse, spousal abuse, and create a perpetual motion machine. He lied to everyone guess what there ain't **** you can do it about. The game will be on in a couple hours, don't miss the opening kickoff.
  5. The only solace I can take is that maybe the game is going too fast for EJ. That is the comment from every rookie that enters the NFL; The Speed of the game is so different it takes time to adjust. You can see the game is slow for a 10 year vet like Rivers. Kyle Williams and the D-Line got a lot of pressure but Rivers looked at them like they were moving in slow motion and delivered the ball at the last second. EJ got skittish with any movement on the D-Line and couldn't deliver the ball on time in a place where a receiver could make a play on the ball. It truly was trrrrible on Sunday. If you try to defend his play from last Sunday you just look silly because it was so so so so bad. Now again with time maybe the game can slow down for EJ and he can look past the D-Line and deliver the ball downfield. The problem is the rest of the team is built to win today not 3 years from now. Kyle Williams, Dareus, Freddy Jackson, Spiller, Mario will probably all be out of town in 3 years. Maybe by then something might click with EJ. My main source of frustration is that it is clearly just such a waste of potential. The Bills need only adequate QB play to win in 2014. EJ just isn't an adequate NFL QB in 2014. It doesn't matter what colored glasses you have on EJ doesn't look ready for 2014. The Division is wide open and the Bills only need a game manager QB to win it.
  6. ESPN is clearly wrong. Sammy Watkins has 4 YAC yards by their calculations. His TD catch was all YAC. I never said every receiver was a viable option. I said that there are options deeper on 90%+ of the passing plays.
  7. I've been to many of the spots on that list, I wholeheartedly agree with the Top 3.
  8. Eye Test: Wilson's long ball TD to Lockett who was smothered in coverage was a thing of beauty. EJ consistently overthrowing some of the fastest WRs in the NFL when they are wide open the few times he decides to throw it long is mindboggling. EJ clearly has the strength to throw it long. Hopefully he can figure out how to put it where the guys can make a play on it. If there is ever an area that can improve with time it would be the long ball. He needs to figure out that sweet spot to connect on the long ball.
  9. Mitchmurraydownton, Thank you thank you thank you for consolidating PowerRanking into one thread!!! Thank you thank you! Please keep it up all season . It is great for the people that want to discuss such things and great for the people that think power rankings are silly. thank you thank you thank you. Just win baby.
  10. It is not short-sighted. It is accurate. EJ decides where to throw the Ball. EJ is consistently deciding to throw very short. EJ has deeper option than 2.33 yards on most passing plays. These are all simple facts. Yes the play called may have a deeper option as a later read, correct. However we have almost a full season's worth of game film and stats. EJ Manuel does not decide to air out the ball as frequently as other QBs in the NFL. It is a fact that cannot be argued against. If EJ's consistent decision to throw short is a good thing or bad thing can be argued one way or another.
  11. Just so you are clear. You are stating that 90% of passing plays DO NOT have a Receiver that runs 10 yards down the field. Great argument, bro! Why would I need any proof or attempt to engage in your silly argument? EJ Manuel throws the ball on average 2.28 yards in the air. Why would you ever argue that there are not deeper options? Do you watch football past 1940? Do you think every receiver stays with in 2.28 yards of the LOS? FACT: 90+ percentage of the passing plays have a deeper option. You can choose to argue the opposite if you would like but I think everyone know who is clueless in that argument.
  12. YAC is not inherently good or bad. The stat has meaning. It shows that EJ does not throw the ball in the Air for very long as compared to other NFL QBs. That is the meaning of the Stat. The value you apply to that stat is up for debate. What is unarguable is that the EJ Manuel is not throwing the ball downfield as much as other QBs in the NFL. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Just win baby.
  13. Yes I have proof of this. Watch any game ever. Atleast 1 Receiver is running more than 10 yards on 90%+ of passing plays. It doesn't matter if the receiver is the 1st or 5th option. The QB is deciding not to wait to that option develops.
  14. I'm not surprised at all. I mentioned in a different thread that I don't remember any completed passes down field over in the air over 10 yards, besides the one where Robert Woods bailed out the Buffalo Bills by Jumping out of the stadium. We're coming up on 16 games now and EJ still doesn't throw the ball too much further than the Line of Scrimmage. Promo the Robot said the game looks to fast for him, and I think that is an astute assessment. That is why he consistently decides to dump the ball off. Here is hoping the game slows down for him.
  15. I understand how the this works. There is still one person that decides where to throw the ball. That one person can decide to wait on the progression or not. There is only one person that can make that decision. 90+ percentage of the passing plays have a deeper option.
  16. Who is they? There is one person that decides where to throw the ball.
  17. Yes it means Fitz beat us. Thats how the NFL works. Plus we all know Fitz is more than capable of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory. If he doesn't do that, then "Fitz beat us." I Vow to continue my vow of never buying any Bills merchandise until the Bills achieve 9 wins in a season.
  18. And that is the difference between the Best QB in the NFL that doesn't have a ring and whatever you want to call EJ. If you swap Rivers for EJ on Sunday the Bills win 35 to 6. Maybe one day the game can slow down for EJ the problem is this roster is built to win today. But we all already know where the weak link is, it is just frustrating to watch the talent on the roster get squandered. The Bills will go as far as EJ takes them and even a blind man can see that likely isn't too far.
  19. I noticed and said those are going to be about $5,000 socks.
  20. I think you captured the difference. The game didn't look too fast for EJ against Chicago but it certainly looked too fast for EJ against San Diego. That comment actually gives me some semblance of hope for EJ. It is a long shot but if he can slow the game down he might be competent.
  21. I have access to the All 22. I am very confident that EJ has 2.5 seconds on most of his dropbacks. He needs to make a decision at that point in time. It can't wait another 2.5 seconds decide to run. One - two - three - throw or one -two - three - run. Football outsiders tracks time in the pocket, but it is a really strange stat. Peyton Ranks "32" at 1.88 through the first two weeks. As in that is bad on the offensive line, but obviously Manning is just getting rid of the ball quick. The Bills ranked in the middle of the pack at 2.3 seconds. The difference between 1st and 32nd is a second. The bigger point than the tenths and hundredths of seconds difference between each team, Is that you have less than 3 seconds as a QB in the NFL on ANY team to make a play. The Bills O-Line gave EJ that 2-3 seconds on most passing plays, and that is all you can ask an O-Line to do. Asking for 5 seconds to make a decision just ain't gonna happen anywhere in the NFL. EJ had adequate time to deliver the ball on Sunday, he just didn't deliver.
  22. Seriously though, WhAt Excellent down the field throws are you referencing? The one wear Woods had to jump out of the stadium to save the Bills arses? Or the 5 yard pick play to Watkins that YACed it to the end zone? I do not recall 1 excellent downfield pass by EJ in the first 3 games.
  23. Exactly. That really pissed me off.
  24. You Guys are way off. The NFL leader in time on pocket is less than 3.5 seconds. Watch the game and count to 3 on the passing plays. EJ had more than enough time on passing plays to deliver the ball. If you're actually open and honest about the play you'll see there was time to throw. EJ couldn't stand and deliver. The OLine was not good but it was run blocking where it was getting no push. Pass blocking it actually was doing C+ job.
