  1. That would be a good observation if it were true. Since 2010 QB draft class was generally considered the worst QB draft class, its just a silly comment.
  2. If you work on your reading comprehension you'll see I never disputed Calvin Johnson's 1000 yard status. My point without having to outright state it is that it is pointless to compare 2 players that have such vastly different careers. Not to mention I never called him stupid. I said he is either acting stupid or is stupid; looks like you made a decision on your own.
  3. I never called him a bust. Not once. I simply said the expectations are he is on the more productive 1/2 of the WRs; And that's why peole arent happy with Hardy. It is a real simple concept. Why Are you struggling with this?
  4. Mobi you're either just acting stupid now or you are stupid. Either way you can't be helped. Year Team G Rec Yds Y/G Avg Lng YAC 1stD TD 2007 Detroit 15 48 756 50.4 15.8 49 3.6 38 4 2008 Detroit 16 78 1331 83.2 17.1 96 6.6 52 12 2009 Detroit 14 67 984 70.3 14.7 75 4.8 46 5 Year Team G Rec Yds Y/G Avg Lng YAC 1stD TD 2008 Buffalo 14 9 87 6.2 9.7 17 2.2 5 2 2009 Buffalo 2 1 9 4.5 9.0 9 2.0 0
  5. No it isn't. Thats what you don't get. 2 million in guaranteed money + salary is alot of money. 500 yards a year is a realistic minimum expectation to set for 1 st year high 2nd round draft pick. The first 50 draft Picks, which hardy was Pick #41, should be expected to come in and earn PT right away, they are also paid as if they will play right away. Right now the Bills are getting much more value from SJ's contract than Hardy's. Its simply about expectations. I'm sure SJ wouldn't mind getting paid 2 mil to put up the same numbers as Hardy.
  6. Its very simple. I don't understand why you're confused. Can you explain your confusion? The expectations for 7th round WR, are Practice squad or Special Team. The expectations for a 2nd round WR are 1,000 yard season. 1 Exceeded their expectations, 1 didn't come anywhere close to their expectations.
  7. PTR outed you, I know it may be difficult at family get together, at first, but you'll gain some confidence over time. Everyone has an Uncle or a cousin with No Sense of Humor. It will be OK. You have to think that J.Russell has better arms and quicker feet than Gaither. We supposedly have one of the best O-Line coaches. Russell has to know that LTs are often the second highest player on the roster. Lets give it a spin. Just imagine we get a #1 overall LT, what a bargain!
  8. Biscuit is Right on. And this string will be much more interesting in 2014, if Clausen is putting up Jim Kelly numbers and Spiller is perennially sitting on the PUP list. Also this thread will never happen in 2014 in the far more likely event that Spiller is putting up close to Thurman combined yards Numbers and Clausen is just another-never-was.
  9. Does anyone else find it strange that "The Bills" have nothing at all to do with Buffalo Bill? The "Bills" part of the Buffalo Bills is just completely ignored. There's not even a lasso and a bucking dude on a horse anywhere on the sleeve. We're basically the Buffalo, Buffalos. I'm not saying we should change that but we have to be the only team to just completely ignore their team name. Even when the Sabres went with the big Red Buffalo on the Jersey they had Sabres on their sleeves. The Slug is RIP, thank goodnes. I really like the darker Classic look of that will be the new hommies. Those colors should look pretty bad ass as white roadies too. Is the Slug the new alternate or is there a new one? Will the Black Jerseys with Big Red Buffalo be the new 3rd jersey for the Sabres? As for the Bills, I really like the current, classic 3rd Jersey, BUT COME UP WITH SOMETHING NEW, Not the crappy "IN THE YEAR Two Thooooouuussaaaand!" Jerseys they wear today. The current jerseys looks like a generic NFL knock-off jersey. Ralph went shopping in the Philippines for the design "You wan super, #1 fooball Jer-rey? Fooball #1! 5 dolla" Ralph thought, "This just might work for my NFL Franchise; and what a deal!"
  10. I agree with the Loyal Bills Fan. Roosey will be on the PS at a minimum, Special Teams is filled with washed out LBs and WRs, since we have a boatload of unheralded WRs and LBs in will be vaguely interested to see who makes it as a Special Teamer\Depth play, Rooset might even make it to the squad. They have to keep the local boy, fan favorite around, at it looks like he just might be able to play too. Being on a FF Dynasty League for about a decade where you keep your entire roster from year to year, I remember Chad Jackson coming out of college. He wad great skills on paper. Since the Bills are pretty much starting fresh with very few locks at any position if Chad Jackson gets his mind right and realizes this is his last shot in the NFL, he might live up to his paper potential. He has bounced around after being a second round pick and if he doesn't make it on this squad with very limited talent at WR he is not going to make it anywhere. Hardy seemed like a text book bust WR pick when he was drafted. Really Tall, couldn't run the route tree well, played on an offense that just had him run go routes and use his greater basketball, athletics to beat out less athletic defensive players for the ball. All that being said maybe something will click with him this year after watching the team play for most of his NFL Career. Good news is Malcolm Kelly and Limas Sweed haven't done much either so there isn't a coulda, woulda, shoulda situation. Samething as the LBs on this squad, ALL of the WRs have alot to prove in OTAs and Pre Season. And yes it is very likely that we pull in cuts from other teams. (Matt Jones, Cin, was my sleeper WR tip for a late round flyer in fantasy football, however it appears that he is becoming a popular "sleeper" if that is possible, so he may get drafted earlier than the late-late rounds where he should be picked.)
  11. Yeah but Maybi would hold out for $10,000 then only show his forehead on camera.
  12. He was part of Rivals's All-UDFA team right after the draft. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1078638 http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=112767 BUZZ: Coleman led the SEC with 10 sacks in '09 and had 24.5 in his career, which helped him earn some all-league honors. But his lack of height (he's 6-1) and so-so ability against the run led most NFL teams to think he only could be an outside linebacker in a 3-4 set. Given that he never has played linebacker and has no coverage skills, drafting him was seen as too big a risk. Looked like a great pick up to me too. All the "LBs" on this roster have a lot to prove in OTAs and pre-season.
  13. And Hopefully he gave those 10 pounds to Maybi
  14. +1 The hold out is really what started the loathing. Not only was he clearly not the best 'Tweener on the board at #11, he held out to get paid like he was picked #10 then looked horrible on the field the few times the coaches could let him get on the field. I've said in the past if you put Orakpo and Mapbi in cage together and only 1 could leave; Its pretty clear who would win. (playing DE has alot to do with hand to hand combat.) It was just a plainly obvious h.orrible pick and the comparisons to Orakpo will always happen with Maybi throught his career. Maybe Maybi can use that as motivation. Most likely he'll just stare at himself in the mirror while tweeting Don't forget that Orakpo actually DID PLAY DE! He wasn't converted to LB until week 5 or 6. If Maybi was any good, and gave the Bills a chance to win, a coach that is trying to save his job would put him on the field. Maybi has alot of growing up to do. I'm hoping atleast 15 pounds to be exact.
  15. We Need a LT right? He probably has better footwork and longer arms that Gaither. Feed him some Chicken Wings and try him out at LT I bet he get to 310 before the end of camp.
  16. But is it more than having a top tier RT and a top tier LT for 1 year? That's what Ozzie has to decide. It's not like the Ravens have 3 quality tackles. They'll be looking for a questionable player like Cousins to step in at RT.
  17. Keep telling yourself that. A starting LT is worth a 1 st. Look at LT taken in the first round and they are not proven. Pro bowl has nothing to do with it. The ravens would most likely get a compensatory 4th or 3rd when he is signed as a UFA. You're on crack if you think Ozzie Newsome moves him for less than a second + a player or more picks. With the uncertanity in the labor agreement in makes much more sense to take two tackles in your Super Bowl run than sell low.
  18. It makes 0 sense for the Ravens to trade Gaither for anything less than a 1st round pick. The Market has been set in the Peters trade. If they don't trade him they have a player under contract for 1 year that will be motivated to put together their best season in order to get Free Agent dollars next year. Plus the Ravens have a shot at the Super Bowl they would want to have Gaither at RT and Oher at LT and if Oher doesn't work out at LT they can switch. No matter how many Oscar's the movie about is his life won, Oher is not proven at LT. My Sentiments are pretty much echoed on the Ravens forum. (for whatever that's worth) http://www.ravens24x7.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53487
  19. Lot of good points in the posts. 1.) We have been in trouble for 10 years. we haven't been in the Top 5 pick kinda Trouble but the description in the article, "just looks like more of the same for the Bills, who have been running in place for so long now that it's hard to detect any motion at all" is spot on. You can't really argue with that. 2.) The argument that the Team in Buffalo does this or that to sell tickets, is ridiculous. Tickets will be sold in Buffalo whether they are 1-15 or 16-0. Merchandise is more susceptible to changes in sale as as result to changes record; much more than ticket sales. People in Buffalo are going to the game the 8, make that 7 or 6, Home games we get. Just like in Kansas City, There is nothing else to do. 3.) You can't argue with this either: REASON NOT TO PANIC: New Bills head coach Chan Gailey has made some good-but-not-great quarterbacks go a long way in the past, and Kordell Stewart, Jay Fiedler and Tyler Thigpen know it. Gailey had a pretty solid record as an offensive coordinator for three teams, and he went two-for-two in taking the Cowboys to the playoffs as a head coach in the late '90s. The Bills could be -- and have been -- in far worse hands. 4.) Its not likely we are heading for "more" trouble then we already in. If we go 1-15, 2-14, 3-13, 4-12 yeah that would be worse but the bright spot is next year we would be guarenteed to grab a real QB. A QB that has more chance of being a "franchise" QB than the scrubs in the 2010 draft. Most likely we're going to be heading for another 6-10 or 7-9 more running in place.
  20. They are getting something for him. 1 year of him being the best RT in the NFL. He won't be on the bench. Its worth much more than a 3rd round pick in 2011. Again if someone offers a first it makes since for the Ravens to pull the trigger. Otherwise you have a proven quantity that is going to play up to his full potential so he can grab a huge contract as a Free Agent. The less factual sports "media" can tweet all they want. I'll believe it when I see it.
  21. The Market for a starting LT is a 1st round pick. If Peters goes for a 1st + The Ravens have no reason to move this guy for less. They are trying to make a run at the Super Bowl. Having a solid Left and Right Tackle is well worth the non-factual speculation around the player. If someone offers a first then they pull the trigger if not you ride him as far as you can take him then let him walk away after this year. Plus with the lockout\strike in 2011, what is a 2011 Draft pick worth? I'll believe it when I see it.
  22. What is your point? Give Maybi a chance? The issue with Maybi is not that Maybi had a bad rookie year, it was we could have a much more proven quantity in Orakpo. Whatever Maybi does in his career he has to do better than Orakpo in order for him to be deemed a success. Plus the internet was not publicly available during Bruce Smith's rookie year, so unless Two Bills drive was part of DARPANET I doubt anyone around here had anything to post
  23. I doubt anyone was close last year. I glanced at a few pages from last year's thread and 6/10 posts were 8-8 or 9-7. I felt sorry, seeing how hopeful everyone was when reading the posts. Knowing that all of these people would have their hearts ripped from their chests, thrown on the ground, and piled on, like the many QBs that played for the Bills in 2009.
  24. The answer is yes. Lee Evan's unproven talent is wasted in Buffalo and Eric Moulds wasted the prime of his career here as well. Eric Moulds was a super gifted WR if he were teamed with Brett Favre instead of Old Kelly\Todd Collins\Rob Johnson\Flutie\Other Tackling Dummy QBs he would have huge HOF numbers.
