Confused about the genuine feeling of those surprised ?????
1B4IDie replied to machinist's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team was 5-3 and sitting in the 6th playoff spot. In 5 days they fumbled away an easy victory at home, then the offense no-showed against a division rival that the team smashed earlier in the season. It is not that in those 5 days (It is not 4 days as many reporters keep saying. It is 5 days you have to count Sunday too. ) the Bills revealed their true nature as Playoff Pretenders. It is not a sense of disbelief that the team is 500 that fans are feeling. Bills fans are dealing with the grief that the 2014 Bills are the same old Bills and the playoffs are all but officially out of reach. There were many that wanted to believe the team would keep that 6th seed even though they knew all of the issues you pointed out, after knowing the outcome of the season. Another wasted year without the playoffs, an undeveloped "QB of the future" with an offensive coaching staff that couldn't develop a Polaroid picture. Bills fans can't even placate themselves with talk of the 2015 1st round pick. This will be a tough lame duck, rest of the season and off season. If your post is supposed to help by saying "Hey we are .500 at least we're not 3-5" I guess that might help some. Losing in the typical Washington Generals of the NFL style where the Bills find ways to lose is a tough Pill to swallow. -
Incorrect.

They did. 1. 1-10-MIA 39(:57) (Shotgun) 18-K.Orton pass short right to 35-B.Brown pushed ob at MIA 28 for 11 yards (53-J.Jenkins). That was a shotgun play meant to go long. but Miami had the deep ball covered so Orton dumped to Brown as the safety valve. Watch the play.

sounds like a great UDFA target.

They tried to go deep after the turnover. Let's stick with the facts.

It is funny when people listen to people in sports entertainment roles and expect them to tell the truth. It is !@#$ing show business. He could never say "Fire Marrone he sucks Balls, I'm a million time better coach and I'm ready to come back to the NFL." It is lip service.

You need to get you one of those QBs. Big Ben saved my career.

In the last 3 games don't we have 3 FG from inside the 5 yard line. If the refs don't give the Dolphins the safety and the PI then that 13 points. The Bills convert a TD inside the 5 and that's 13 points. If you want to win games and especially beat the contenders coming up on the schedule you need to convert those TDs or give them 97 yard fid to go on offense against our defense. We might of got a legitimate safety if Phins were backed up to our 3 yard line.

Offense is so predictable: Deion Summed it up perfectly.

it is more of a pipe dream. The rumor was he turned it down because of uncertain future ownership and referred Chan Gailey. Cowher was shaking hands with Pegula prior to kick off. Where there is smoke . . . -

Except two Hall of Famers and anyone that has watched football for 5 years thinks the rants are precisely targeted. -

Those aren't plays you big dummy. -
there was nothing wrong the replacement refs calls. They just struggled with pace of the game and dealing with HCes. Yes they clearly were calling a consistent game imo and ironically they were criticized for calling too many offense PI and defensive illegal contact calls ( which are now "emphasized")

Cower was sucking all the Bills players off so hard I thought he was going to get chapped lips. Where there is smoke . . . -
It is NFL CYA. I wish Mike Carey would get off the air because he is terrible on air not to mention he has never seen a ref call he doesn't like. "Yeah Yeah great call! Great use of activist referring. Excellent way to hand out points and make an impact on the outcome of the game." Return to sender.

thanks. corrected. -
It is about looking incompetent for Marrone. You switched to the vet it didn't work. You switch back to the 2nd year Future of the Franchise when playoffs are out of reach you look indecisive and incompetent. Plus you lose the team if you make the switch without injury because you're basically saying the year is over with and playoffs are out of reach. You atleast have to pretend they're you're trying to win out.

Doug Morrone: "Hey Kyle come in my office I have to talk you about something." Kyle Orton: "Sure no problem coach what's up?" DM: "That was a tough loss out there, son (puts arm around shoulder.) Don't worry you won't have to be out there much longer (Stomps on Ortons foot with all of his former Offensive lineman weight) KO: "Ahhhh! WTF!!! My Foot!! (Falls to the ground holding his foot) Why did your Herman Munster looking ass just stop on my foot!" DM: (Towers over KO while on the floor)"SHHHHHH! If you're smart you won't tell anyone about this. Just collect your $5Million dollars and say it happened in the game. I need to make a QB change without looking like a complete idiot and this the only way I can do it. If you get any ideas just look at that game check and Shut your !@#$ing mouth. Now go see the trainer."

That is a smart way to switch QBs without looking like a complete idiot. Now you just look like a complete liar.

I personally don't want Whaley to go but if Branden puts pressure on Whaley to put pressure on Marrone to **** can his little buddy and Whaley says "no" we need one more year. Then it becomes a Branden vs Whaley issue. Again I'm not proposing anything specific just watching this accident happening in slow motion. -

That is possible but unlikely. Our Buddy Haslett survived the Shanahans. -
So far Whaley has had Morrone's back and Morrone has had his Coordinator's back (Hackett and Crossman) The way these things play out is the GM puts on pressure to make a coordinator change and the head coach either stands firm and goes down with the ship or sacrifices the coordinator for another year. Now that the season is over it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I bet Morrone stands firm and won't fire his little Buddy Hackett and gets **** canned, giving Whaley another year at GM.
