  1. Speaking of bad trades. The Rams paid a boatload for Tavon Austin who is so far (and was obviously going to be) just a guy. How come the Rans get a pass.
  2. I guess that is the heart of the matter. I do not agree. I do not see any reason besides an article with an unnamed source that there will be a football person brought in. Only time will tell. I measure by results. So I will believe it when I see it. I guess we will see if Pegula lets Branden/Whaley/Marrone play this thing out or if he inserts a Football man. No one knows but I don't think it is a forgone conclusion. As much we would all like that to happen.
  3. What does your pool do? Chop the prizes 4 ways. Or Reset the 4 remaining teams, or reset everyone? The Redskins ALWAYS LOSE TO THE BUCCANEERS. Never take that game, not that Denver or Cleveland would have helped you much. This week looked like it was going to be a bloodbath for survivor picks and it was a bloodbath for survivor picks. I bet there is a lot of survivor money placed on Pittsburgh tonight.
  4. right on. You are correct when you say "this post." Thank you and this is the point. There is a misconception that Pegula is going to fix the Bills on the field performance in the short term. I don't see any reason to believe that.
  5. You people keep master debating about Sabres move. My point is simply Pegula can't snap his fingers and make the 2015 Buffalo Bills on field product better. You can draw comparisons to his ownership style from looking at the Sabres; Absolutely you can. The only logic for not drawing the comparison is based on denial that the Bills have a long rebuilding process filled with more Losses than wins in the near future. "Oh the Sabres are totally different cause you see even though they were a few points out of 8th place and a playoff seed when Pegula took over they totally sucked where as the Bills are a few wins out of the 6th seed and don't totally suck, It is a totally different ballgame" Is the best explanation that anyone can draw as to why the Sabres rebuild will be totally different than the Bills. Corner stone players like Kyle Williams, Mario Williams CJ, Fred Jackson won't be here long. Just like Vanek, Miller, and Pommers. There seems to be a belief in Pegula dust evidenced by nothing. That somehow the mere change in ownership in of its own will make the Buffalo Bills a better team on the field of play. The Bills on the field are stuck in the mud and need a plan to get out. I'm looking forward to seeing what the plan will entail. In no way do I believe Pegula is a bad person, bad businessman, or bad citizen. I like the guy. Any expectations for rapid improvements in on the field performance by the Buffalo Bills are based solely on imagination and speculation. As of right now there is no plan for the Buffalo Bills except status quo.
  6. So you are saying the Buffalo Bills will have a better on field product because Terry Pegula is the type of owner that condones wasting a season by tanking. Interesting.
  7. Thanks now I know that Pegula Dust is real and when he sprinkles it all over the Bills, they will magically win games.
  8. That is your opinion. The quality of the product and the sale of the product are very rarely linked. The best technology doesn't win the market if that were true why are there so many windows machines? How is the on ice quality of the Sabres? Oh yeah, just wait until the win the #1 or #2 pick by tanking then like maybe in 2019 they will be a force.
  9. Does the owner make Coordinator decisions?
  10. How is Pegula going to improve the Bills on field product in 2015?
  11. We can declare the boring discussion of how great the Sabres are going to be in 2019 a stunningly useless argument in describing how the Buffalo Bills on the field product will improve in 2015.
  12. Oh I was wrong then, Pegula will snap his fingers and magically make everything better. I stand corrected.
  13. not wins. If I had Branden Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, And Matt Forte I'd have career highs in passing stats too.
  14. hell no I know what Fred Jackson would think. I believe he said "We're going to get one (int.) You know he (Cutler) likes to throw them." When he was mic'ed up in week 1.
  15. Again completely missing the point. Peoples expectation on timing of a turn around are unrealistic. There will be more pain before things get better. There is a sub cultural that thinks 2015 is going to be better because Pegula is the owner. That makes no sense. 2020 might be better, not 2015.
  16. So you believe in Pegula dust? Good luck with that. Everyone is aware of the irrelevant top ratings of the Sabres farm system which still has nothing to do with improving the Bills on the field performance.
  17. 16 years of no playoffs isn't bad outright. if there is a plan in place but again there is no Pegula dust. We are stuck in the Mud and Pegula just pulled up in a limo and is looking at the situation. There is still no plan to get out of the rut and it is silly to think it's just magically going to be better next year.
  18. You sure about that? What is the Sabres winning percentage the last 100 or so games The On Ice products sucks. I'm not buying futures. I'm talking about today. Terry Pegula's ownership did not help the Sabres on ice product.
  19. No. If we win the next 3 games (Denver) my interest would be mildly piqued. Win 4 then I might get excited.
  20. I didn't say Pegula doesn't know what he is doing. I said that Pegula is not going to snap his fingers and put a winner on the field tomorrow. Which is the attitude of many posters. And in the unlikely event that Brandon/Whaley/Marrone all get whacked in the off season. It only ensures 16 years of no playoffs.
  21. Awesome I was wrong. Tank is back on!
  22. My mistake. I fired off too quickly. Tanking doesn't significantly help you get the #1 overall seed if you are already a bad team. Not to mention that you are saying that Terry Pegula is the kind of owner that wants their team to Tank. I don't agree the Sabres are tanking. I think the players on the team just suck. What does having the #1 farm team has to do with Pegula fixing the Bills on the field problems? Will the Bills have the #1 Farm team too?
  23. Incorrect. As a result of this change, the team earning the fewest points during the regular season will no longer be guaranteed, at worst, the second overall pick. That club could fall as low as fourth overall. It's also a big mistake to assume some fantasy "fire them all" strategy will be enacted.
  24. You don't understand how the NHL lottery draft works. Having the worst record doesn't give you the highest percentage chance at the #1 overall pick. Kim has just as much Football experience as Terry. What do you imagine, Kim on the sidelines telling Marrone to put EJ in the game? He has never held a position in an NFL front office or been involved in an NFL team in any capacity. That is what that means. There are a number of posters where the conversation goes like this. logical poster: "The offense is horrible." illogical poster: "Terry Pegula will sprinkle Pegula dust on the offense and everything will work, just watch." There is no such thing as Pegula dust. The team needs a solid plan to get better on the field. I don't see one, I don't believe in Pegula dust. I may believe the plan when I see it.
  25. Terry Pegula's ownership did not help the Sabres on ice product. Why do people keep posting like he is going to do something to fix the Bills on field product? He is a hands off kinda guy. He is a business man that is going to help develop the City of Buffalo around the Bills. He is not a football guy. He is not a hatchet man. Get used to seeing Russ Brandon and Doug Whaley for a long time. Terry is a savior to keep the team on Buffalo. There is no reason to believe Terry and Kim Pegula are 1.) Going to make massive changes to the Bills Front Office 2.) Would even know what to do in order to improve the Bills on the field performance. If we wanted to Frack Orchard Park, Terry is your man. If you want a winning football team well you better hope Terry and Kim 1.) Actually care about winning (Sabres point to no) 2.) Are interested in finding a "football guy" that can help them (all signs point to status quo.) Terry Pegula is not some kind of Jerry Jones with more football acumen. You likely won't be hearing much or seeing the Pegulas do much in the football operations. Sorry to burst your bubble but atleast the Bills are in Buffalo.
