  1. I think its more remedial than teaching him how to catch. Someone needs to teach him how to eat. He should be forced to eat as much as Kyle Williams eats for about 3-4 weeks. \\semi-serious
  2. Exactly Exactly I'm sure Andre Reed dropped a pass in 1986. Big Picture, this wasn't a big deal. And a Bill fan should hope that this is a great learning experience for Stevie for the time when the Bills are in meaningful games again.
  3. He does not need to be on the field. He is 1 magnitude smaller than any other LB we have, and 2 magnitudes smaller than any Tackle he goes up against. Besides the hold, he was washed out and pancaked on the other players. Someone please feed this boy, he needs 30 pounds before he can get on the field. I now doubt that he is even 235, he looks more like 225. This is not a reactionary post, this is looking at him then looking at Torbor who looks to be actually 250. And if you think he would have sacked Big Ben you're crazy. Kelsay was having trouble taking him down, Little Maybin would have been a bug on a windshield.
  4. Except you would have been drilled at the 15 because you were to slow to make it to the 50 and probably coughed the ball up when you were knocked out on your feet anyway, leading to a Pittsburgh Touchdown, but nice day dreaming there partner, have another one . . . I do have an issue with his ball security though, This isn't the first time he has fumbled a kickoff. You're better off starting out at the 20 then coughing up a return at the 45.
  5. I'm good with both of those decisions. However the 4th and 3 at the 41 in OT you have to go for it Say you come up an inch short you give them the ball at the 38. Say you make the 1 at now you just need 8 more yards for an under 50 field goal attempt. The way the O was working up to that point it felt like Fitzmagic could puck it up. But kicking a 56 yard field goal is not a food idea the Steelers would get the ball at the 48. That 10 yard swing is a big difference in the decision. Giving it to them at the 48 as opposed to the 38. As well as 4th and 8 compared to 4th and 3.
  6. Looked to me like McKelvin expected Moats to make a block, but Moats tripped. Watch it again because it looks weird, like he is locked up then falls down like his leg gave out, then McKelvin expecting Moats to drive the block follows Moats and runs right into the tripping Moats. Its all together strange, then ofcourse McKelvin drops the damn ball on a kick return. He is clearly explosive on Kick Returns but you can't be sloppy with the ball. In regulation you saw how when there was contact he held the ball high and tight with both arms. Then on that play he forgets to protect the ball. I can't have a kick returner kick returns if he can't secure the ball. I think Quinton Ganther returned kicks for the Redskins, (actually I looked it up he returned 1 kick in his career) Either way you have to put someone that will secure the ball. A turnover on a kick return is worse than an INT or a fumble by the offense. Its just such a killer you can't risk it with a guy that doesn't understand how to protect the ball.
  7. I concur. See the Official Our O-Line does not suck any more thread. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/123315-the-official-the-o-line-does-not-suck-anymore-thread/page__p__2035843__hl__official__fromsearch__1#entry2035843 They need to lock down the RT if Love or Carimi falls to the second that might be a good pick, otherwise you can pick up a RT in the 4th after you take 2LBs and a DE with the first 3 picks.
  8. I think cautiously optimistic. He had one of the best receiving games in Bills history followed by probably the worst. It all depends on how he bounces back. We all fall, can he get up. I think so. I'm glad he is learning on a 4-12 non playoff team so he can be a big contributer on a 2012 playoff run.
  9. Stevie dropped the game winner. It was another OT killer. I still contest this is the most interesting 2-9 team I have ever seen. Much better than a DJ 5-6 team. These are the kind of gams that Build character that 1986 4-10 team had 7 losses under 4 points. The Bills are close. Getting a few impact players this offseason can convert these losses to wins. This team has heart and will improve. Either way they are making it very interesting.
  10. That's right. The Stillers aren't prepared for the Turkey fueled 12th man. Lets go Buffalo !
  11. He is hanging out watchin Andre Reed highlights and wants to bring back the 80-90s uniforms, plus he loves this Fitzmagic moniker. Ontop of that he doesn't care who the opponent is he is going to bring it on Sunday and he plays Madden as the Bills. This guy is quickly becoming a true Buffalonian at heart. Nix better get that contract working in the off season.
  12. That's more like it! All these negative Nancys feeding off of each other. The Bills have proven the phrase any given Sunday is alive and well. Ride the Fitzmagic wave as long as you can, don't bail early.
  13. So use a tiered BPA like in Fantasy Football? The truth is no one knows what system the Bills use or how they rank thier players. Remember the waterbug comment it appeared from the outside looking in that the new regime wanted Spiller leading up to the draft. I doubt it's as simple as a straight list of Players, there are most likely in-depth grades of each player. The Bills probably thought that Spiller was a top 3 player. They got him at 9.
  14. You're correct about Wang. And foolishly, hopelessly, incorrect about Wood he is rated in non Buffalo based sports talk as a top Guard in 2010. Not to mention if you watch the games and notice that thier isn't immediate pressure in the QBs face on every play anymore.
  15. Yeah what are y'all talking about? Iwannasee Iwannasee Me too. Plus since we would have to trade a King's ransom to get him, something Luke Dikta's Ricky Williams trade, I hope he doesn't declare. We can build the D in 2011 then trading he Kings ransom in 2012 wouldn't hurt so bad.
  16. Wow! That's is a NT's NT. If the Bills are serious about switching to 3-4 you need a guy like this on the roster. Problem is the Bills need about 5 more LBs besides Poz to make the transition as well. Just seems like more of a problem than it's worth. But since Sam Adams and Pat Williams left the Bills (hmm I wonder why we had 2 seasons where we only allowed a total of 3 hundred yard rushers) I wanted some major Beef in the middle as opposed to our skinny Tampa 2 D-lineman. This guy is like drafting 1.5 DEfensive Lineman. He can eat Phil "the Power" Taylor and take his name. Some people say Kyle is better suited at NT in a 3-4, I think he can at DE in 3-4 with this guy in the middle opposing o-lines would be in trouble and it would free up LBs to make plays. Problem is there are a list of about 5 guys for a perspective second round pick and we can't take them all. If you see the Bills take this guy in 2011 draft then you know the transition to 3-4 is still the plan.
  17. Love is your man then. I saw a mock where Carimi, Constanzo, and Sherrod were gone in the first and we took Love in the second. I was very happy with that. It may be a "reach" but this year the Tackle position is weak and Love is arguably the meanest in the crop. If the rumors of Wang practices at Guard are true you would have Love, Wang, Wood, Levitre, Bell Or Bell Levitre, Wood, Wang, Love For your 2011/2012 line. Love could battle Bell for LT or he is probably better than any RT on the roster and would start week1 and hopefully for the next 10 years. Plus it gives a more romantic feel to the Erection Company. And if by some unlikely turn of events they're protecting Luck the double entendre will make your head explode.
  18. There is too much smoke, he is going to leave before a fire breaks out, he'll declare. The consensus is he is more likely than Mallet to declare and they both have a year of eligibility left.
  19. Back on Page 1 I posted a system that does just that. It also does not mean kill the Gaylord Hotel's Bowl and all the other random Bowls. Keep all the Bowls the way they are just have 3 games that determine the national championship. The #5 ranked team doesn't really have a legitimate claim on the national championship today, and shouldn't have a legitimate claim in 3 game playoff system. Seems like a simple plan to me.
  20. Press conferences are filled with empty rhetoric and posturing. He postured that he was ready. Its silly to be upset with him over empty rhetoric. The real question is how trained medical personal miss the injury. If he is acting as a coach it could be helpful. It definitely seems like Edwards can use all the help he can get. Based on the way Merriman presented his comments in the press conference he seems to have his wits about him and say the right thing. I really don't think it seems likely that he is invested in this team if he is really out for the year unless he is trying to prove his worth as a LB coach.
  21. Good point however, this team needs an impact defensive player that will make the pass rush better in the 1st round. This will lead to more wins in 2011. If Cam is there in the second, then I'm on board with grooming the QB of the future for a year and half and continue to build the Defense through the rest of the draft. BTW aren't you the same guy that was stating Mallet will fall to the late second? Still think so?
  22. Well Boise State blew it, now if TCU can blow it against a joke of a team the case will be closed for 2011. New Mexico State university is almost a case in point for a lot of the "TCU does not belong argument." That team should be in whatever they call DivII now a days. Either way you don't get an invite to the national championship game over an undefeated Oregon and Auburn.
  23. See page 2, some people think he is better suited at NT in a 3/4
  24. Anyone saying the Bills take Cam Newton in the 1st is crazy. However if Newton is there in the second, it wouldn't be a horrible pick. You can still get Vontay Moch in the 3rd and build the LBs further in the 4th. Cam is a much better passer than people are giving him credit for, he only had 35 yards rushing in last game. Having Chan and team straighten out his footwork for a year, could give you a Big Armed, mobile QB that is hard to tackle for years to come. The Bills are in a perfect position to take Newton in the second round. If you take him in the second you don't have to play him in 2011 and with a year of coaching he would be the best QB prospect in 2012 if Luck comes out in 2011, you basically get to mold him a year early. Barbarian needs to watch some game film if he is not impressed. He doesn't I don't what that is about. Newton is declaring with 99.999% accuracy.
  25. Whitner and or Wilson, Florence or Youboty but not both. The rest can walk and wouldn't be a huge loss. LBs are already a joke so signing Poz would make sense to not further weaken the group by losing the 1 functional LB we have. I doubt any other team is liningup to sign him to big money so I hope it's not a 9 mil a year deal again.
