  1. Why you got to bring up old ?
  2. It is soothing to know that Malcolm Kelly didn't work out either, which was the WR that I thought the Bills should have taken. He went on IR instead of being cut before Week1. Devin Thomas went in that round too and never panned out, but DeSean Jackson did.
  3. Its real convenient for the NCAA and BCS that they're avoiding a TCU vs Oregon National Championship with this rushed decision; then in 2 years there will be "new Information" that will lead to Auburn vacating the SEC championship and National Championship. Does the NCAA and BCS have to vacate all the checks they cashed because people want to watch Cam Newton play?
  4. If this wasn't so long I would make the first part my signature, this 3-4 strategy is just silly for so many reasons. Bowers could beef up a little to play 3-4 but it would be a waste as I posted earlier, and I also think putting Kyle at NT is a waste too. I don't know about the Cover 2, but a base 4-3 makes sense. BTW that LB from the Jets, I think you're referring to is David Harris who was drafted #47 in 2007. The Bills traded up their 2007 #43 in order to draft Poz. I personally was hoping we would take Harris that year. I hope we end up getting him 3 years later.
  5. One of his biggest strengths is he is versatile. At 280+ he would be a huge OLB, I think 4-3 DE is more of a natural fit. It wouldn't be unreasonable to stand him up on a 3rd and long and blitz him from an OLB position. And if the team is really insistent about a 3-4 he can bulk up about 10-15 pounds (some scouting reports say his playing weight is already closer to 290) to play 3-4 DE full time but you lose his natural pass rush knack a little there. Its not common to draft a 3-4 DE this high. If the Bills continue to play this 3-4, 4-3 hybrid he wouldn't really have to come off the field, he could play DE in both sets and OLB given the situation. One thing I just realized if the Bills did take Bowers with their #1, That would be two years in a row they draft from Clemson. Spiller and Bowers are boys. CJSPILLER Cj Spiller “@DaQuanBowers93: @cjspiller just continuing the legacy u left big bro” bra you did your thing this year I was just watching this clip: The ACC is so doo-doo though MD, NC State, GT and UNC are definitely not top tier teams, no wonder why he got a sack in 9 straight games. When you watch the clip keep in mind that Jarvis Jenkins #99 could make an interesting Clemson book end in a 3-4 alignment around rounds 3-4. http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile_display.cfm?prospect_id=2428
  6. Did you deduce that after reading the link by the OP that stated the "Bills tried to sign Rucker from the practice squad"?
  7. Two of my friends are game time decisions too. I might have two extra tickets to the game.
  8. Thats very questionable logic. He is behind one great TE, one good TE, and the a team that has a log jam at the position chooses to lose someone else instead of him. That should show you he may be a victim of a crowded roster.
  9. Wow, pro-football-reference.com adjusted their site to answer my question: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/blog/?p=8025 Thanks!
  10. Levy's "You're dead wrong" is my favorite. "It's wrong of you to bring it up! Do you have anything substantial? Anything Substantial?" I wish people would use that more often.
  11. Damn why couldn't they be asleep at the Wheel! 2 Super Bowl losses and now this! Damn cowgirls they really hate the Bills. Rucker would have probably been on the active roster and put on the field for a few plays against the Browns.
  12. How about every single 1st QTR, including 2 or 3 against the Steelers. You must start the games in the 2nd QTR or even better 2nd half then, in that case, you got a point.
  13. I'm surprised you all are defending the reporter. I wish Derek would have pulled a Chris err Jim Everett and scoop slammed the D-Bag reporter. He did answer the question. He said he cares, he said he doesn't find it funny. He said he is passionate about preparing. The D-Bag Reporter should have dropped it at that point. Question asked, question answered. When he hounded him again, DA did the right thing in walking away as opposed to kicking the guys ass, which would have been well deserved.
  14. Other people seemed to have no problems with the LMGTFY link. I know it may be difficult to Click on the first link. But try this one for the especially challenged: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Dropped+pass+NFL&l=1
  15. I refute the idea that Lee Evans has as big effect on Stevie's number as Lee Evans is given credit. However Lee Evans does have a positive effect, just not as big as the myth claims. It makes no sense to move Lee Evans early (unless someone offered a 1st or a player like James Harrison or Lamar Woodley which is not likely at all.) Lee is relatively cheap, 3-4 mil going forward, and the offense is working. No Sense in creating a position of need that does not exist. Is Lee a truly productive, #1 receiver; no. Is Lee a good WR; yes. Lee Evans is a candidate for letting walk away after the contract expires. In 2012 you draft a stud WR, and you let Lee Evans be motivated by upcoming Free Agency to put up big numbers and ride this hopefully to a 2012-2013 season playoff berth. You get a year to work out the kinks with your 2012 draft pick then you let Lee go to whomever is the highest bidder, assuming you extend Stevie in the 2011 off season. If I were a GM that would be the strategy I would take at WR. Easley, David Nelson, Jones & Roscoe can all fill in and complete for the slot/3rd/4th positions in 2011 camp. I think Chan likes Roscoe's "Water Bug" ability and knows how to use it, if Roscoe can stay healthy. However if the Chargers WR corps are any indication of Nix personal ability something tells me, he may take a WR in round 3-5 every year, just to see if any of them pan out. Worst case you add some special teamers, as Special Teams is made up in large part by depth WRs, TEs and LBs. Easley is a huge unkownn and will get to complete for a roster spot in camp. Not forgetting that . . .
  16. Good Point and Stupar/and David Martin are both Free Agents after this season. So there is no doubt that there will be a few TEs brought in in 2011.
  17. 1995, 2002 (Tom Donahoe), 2003 (Tom Donahoe), 2003 (Tom Donahoe) Again this is a 2012 conversation. A player doesn't want to come to a franchise that is sucking wind. If we have a winning season in 2011, and Nix wants to sign players we should be able to grab some free agents that fit the Bills needs. Nix drafted only Captain's of their collegiate team, something tells me character is actually important to Nix, and he isn't just going to try to sign the latest Hot Commodity "Pay me" Free Agent anyway.
  18. Some adjustments DE: Alex Carrington / Chris Kelsay / Free Agent or Draft Pick /Stroud OLB: Free Agent or Draft Pick / Free Agent or Draft Pick /Arthur Moats CB: Leodis McKelvin / Drayton Florence* / Terrance McGee / Reggie Corner Here is a list of upcoming Free Agents: * Poz, Whitner, Wilson, Youboty, Ellison, Brohm, Florence, Corto, Merrimen, Wrotto, McCargo, Ayodele, Ganther, Stupar, & Martin
  19. Green Bay has a trophy room that looks like . . . it has 3 Super Bowls Trophies. The Bills have a trophy room that looks like . . . 4 AFC Championship trophies, not to mention who are these free agents you're referring to in GB? The have the single greatest Free Agent signing in NFL history, Reggie White, then probably another 10 top all time signing if they make it to the Super Bowl in Charles Woodson, then after that who? Santana Dotson? The players really aren't lining up to play in GB either. GB has built that team through the draft. People on winners get endorsement deals. Its not only about contract money.
  20. It was a preemptive strike. If someone actually looks at the dropped pass list, The first thought could be, hmmm, Stevie only had 2 drops all season besides the Steelers game, then the second thought could be, Holy CRAP Freddy Jackson has 6 drops I have to go start a thread about this. please don't
  21. Only Peyton Hillis is a trade, my bad. He said last ten years. But if you go back to the 90s you can add some to the list. Rich Gannon took the Raiders to the Super Bowl off the top Plus Deion would be on there 2 or 3 times.
  22. This is a weak class of Offensive Tackles. Love will never be there in the 3rd unless he catches a significant injury. He'll be drafted somewhere in the 17-49 range. It would be an ideal pick for the Bills with their second round pick (39). That gives you 2 high second round picks, 1 first round pick, a serviceable Vet, and D. Bell for your O-line. The O-line complaints should go away.
  23. Based on the Vince Young nonsense, it appears that IR players are allowed in the facility and allowed to go to team meetings. I say this because the Team had to explicit exclude Vince Young from team meetings which is what caused the mini-stir. I doubt the NFLPA allows them to participate in practice, however they may be allowed to add route running and juggs machine as part of his "rehab."
  24. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=dropped+passes+NFL Lets not have a Fred Jackson has 6 dropped passes thread. 3 or 4 of those during the Trent games when he was too anxious to dump off the ball.
