  1. Good. I'm glad Chan is calling out CJ. Now lets see how CJ responds. We're going to be run heavy the next 3 weeks, but Freddy's and CJ's carries are going to go up.
  2. The Bills have actually drafted a decent amount of TEs. Year Rnd Pick Pos 2009 4 121 Shawn Nelson TE 2008 4 132 Derek Fine TE 2007 7 222 Derek Schouman TE 2005 3 86 Kevin Everett TE 2004 4 109 Tim Euhus TE They just haven't worked out. TE is a position than usually takes years to blossom, There are very few rookie TEs that come in day 1 and perform. They have to pass block, run block, chip block, understand that hot read, run effect routes, catch the ball, practice ball security, run with the ball after the catch, and usually block on special teams, and tackle on special teams. Its hard to find a guy that is good at 3 of those skills at an NFL level in the draft let alone of those skills. There are a few Free Agent TEs that are probably a better investment than wasting another pick on a TE. I would prefer not to see 2010 4 101 Konrad Reuland TE added to that sorry list.
  3. Ofcourse long term Lee is gone. There is no benefit to cutting him this offseason, and he has no trade value. WRs that can run a fly route are a dime a dozen, WRs that are complete players and can run all the routes are hard to come by, Lee fits more in the first category than the second. Lee is cheap and fast. He will be on the roster in 2011.
  4. I agree, I am completely surprised with this. I am excited to watch the games in week 13-17 for the first time in a long time. The team has showed potential. The games are exciting. But being happy with 5-11? Happy with 11th straight year of missing the playoffs? I don't think so. Plus Stevie Johnnons's Hair sold me out a little. He posted it like a challenge to Derrick Mason. Not just an impartial "Are you happy with the Buffalo Bills?" which skewed the numbers a bit. Still 60% is way higher than I would have quessed. I just don't get it. Happy with 3-10?
  5. Couldn't agree more. The Bills just signed two gigantic TEs for blocking off of practice squads, and can have David Nelson run TE routes (I'm not saying he is a TE, I am saying he is clearly lining up at a TE position on some pass plays and running a classic TE seem routes (CLE TD pass) and classic TE up and read in\out. Since David Nelson moved out Wide when Lee went down, Stupar was in for the pass catching TE routes.) I would much rather have Sam Acho at 101 in the 4th. That would be a steal! Going #116 is almost the lowest possibility that Sam Acho goes, going #69 is much more likely.
  6. Although the OP seems to be posting this in an inflammatory way you can't just discount this thought out of hand. You can look at Brett Favre in 2009 and Brett Favre in 2010. Yes there can be a down year, but you can't swap QBs in and out like underwear. The Bills have a good thing going and need to ride this for as long as it will take them, that means 2011. However there is nothing wrong with contingency planning. Depending on how the draft plays out, it would be horrible if there were a QB picked in the second or 3rd say Christian Ponder, (Because Cam Newton, Mallet will be gone in the first and Luck will be in Stanford.) On the other hand there are so many needs on the team . . .
  7. Crack is wack, son. Put the rock down. Lee will be back 100%. He is only scheduled for $4mil the last two years, Thats pretty cheap and affordable.
  8. Please people no one likes a rooster Blocker. The Erection Company
  9. Put a poll up. "Are you happy with the Buffalo Bills?" I'm guessing about 90% would say No. Yeah things are looking up, but an 11 year playoff drought doesn't make people happy.
  10. The Patriots have 7 players drafted on the second round of the draft in 2009 and 2010 that play significant time or start. It seems that the Patriots avoid the first round money and expectations. The Bills should be in a great position to trade down in this draft. There are about 4 players with a second round grade I wish the Bills would get. This would be an excellent year to pull one out of the Patriots draft book. We're talking about the top 64 players in all of College Football the difference between a 1st round and 2 nd round pick is 1% if you could quantify it like Eaterbrook did. There is a significant difference as far as money and expectations go. Trade down for a 1st and a 2nd then do it again if the Patriots can why can't the Bills.
  11. NFLfootballinfo: Troy Polamalu 1st named AFC Def Player of Week in consecutive weeks in 20 years (Bruce Smith, Wks 13-14, 1990)
  12. I would like to see an unbiased Total Economic Impact of building a stadium in a community. Tax Revenue on Stadium Merchandise and vending would exist if the stadium is community based or if the stadium is privately funded. Obviously the difference being if the team leaves, all of that revenue disappears, but really isn't a motivation for a community to build a new stadium when one already exists. There is a possible lease payment, but does that really cover the building costs? If anyone has ever seen an executive summary of a TEI I would be curious.
  13. Maybin has been given plenty of chances, but he just hasn't proven that he belongs on the field. IMO...he is very poor in run support because he is not strong enough, and he is very limited as a pass rusher. He can't rely on his "initial burst and speed rush" on every single play!! NFL left tackles are far too athletic. Moats appears to be a good player. He's stout and strong, he's coachable, and let's face it....the guy just makes plays. I'm not ready to anoint Moats as the next James Harrison, but I certainly am optimistic that we have found our starter at OLB. Bye bye Maybin. What games were you watching bluv? Difference is Maybin hasn't taken advantage of the opportunities he has been given to learn and is only on the roster because he was a first round pick and it looks bad to cut him. The difference is Maybin believes he has an "Arsenal of Moves" (it must be an arsenal of nerf guns because its not really having an impact) and Maybin is not coming in with an attitude to learn. That is the point of the Buffalo News article. Moats can be the answer, it doesn't matter if he was drafted in the 6th round, he is making the most of his opportunities and performing on the field. If he averaged 1.5 sacks for every 4 games for a career the Bills would be very happy, if he can improve that average with the hard work he is putting in, he could very well become an "elite player" that he aspires to, as opposed to beliveing that you are already are an elite player because you were drafted early. And Great Analysis steampunk. you get a too
  14. Yeah you are right the tram is free it goes from Excalibur to Mandalay, you can walk from NY NY to Excalibur without going outside. Its pretty easy and the tram is a breeze.
  15. Wynn Sports Book, dude! Its freaking awesome. Mandalay is kind of awkward shaped but nice eye candy. You can watch all the games! Added bonus is at any sportsbook there will probably be a contingent of NJ Suck Suck Suck fans that you can heckle. If the Bills are double digit dogs, bet big on the Bills.
  16. Ofcourse you take an interview with a job you're not sure about. How else would you find out about the people involved in the job? Your assumption that everything was predetermined is way off. An Interview is a process, sometimes you learn things you didn't know at the beginning of the process. Sometimes there are jobs you thought you wanted then when you go on the interview you realize its not for you. Sometimes there are jobs you're not sure about when you go on the interview you are impressed. Do you really only go on interviews that you somehow predetermined was the job you want? Thats very unusual.
  17. How specifically did the player string anyone along? By going on an interview? By taking a few days to ponder where they would like to spend the next 6 years of their life? Be upset with the hyper-coverage by the Sports Media, and the constant "news breaks" to let you know that Cliff Lee picked his nose and flicked a booger in a NE direction, therefore he is leaning towards the Yankees. Its actually strange that you're getting worked up about a player negotiating with multiple teams to get the best deal. Its actually strange that you think you can see into Cliff Lee's heart.
  18. Yeah he broke his right thumb against Stanford. OK so 15-26, wow what a mighty Will on that Locker kid.
  19. The Huskies are 15-34 with Locker at QB including an amazing 0-12 2008. Locker must have a really tiny will. Lost all respect for Nawrocki's opinion with a silly statement like that. Then this nonsense. I would put this guy on the ignore list.
  20. Great post. I agree #5 is eye popping and its not like we have TE help. Caveat around #7 most of those Offensive tackles prospects are not projecting to LT, which, given #5 is beneficial to the Bills needs.
  21. So you're saying he is a media whore because he didn't talk to the media and didn't say definitively that he was coming back? If thats the conspiracy theory, You're more than welcome to it. If I'm missing something else please let me know. Thanks for trying to explain your opinion.
  22. What act? What specifically did Bret Favre as individual do? I'm not a big Bret Favre, I just don't understand how he gets blamed for the media stir around him. Basically he did almost nothing directly with the media from January to August of 2010. He had 2 direct interviews with the media that I know about. I don't understand how this makes him a Media Whore, I really, honestly don't get it. I don't understand how he benefits as individual by this either. I'd like someone to explain this opinion. He did have a Best Buy ad, so is that the big pay off? To me looking at the situation, I don't see Brett doing much at all directly with the media.
  23. Cornelius Bennett's strip sack on John Elway that was recovered by the Bills during a 21 points in 77 second run against the Broncos sometime in the 90s.
