  1. All of these teams are on year 2-3 of a rebuilding process with new HCs or FOs. In the case of the Bears they started rebuilding the offense by trading for Cutler then bringing in Martz, And Peppers. It didn't happen after 1 season. Next year the stakes are raised for sure, 8 wins is the upside goal for the 2011 Buffalo team. BTW the Bills have a better record in the 1st year of their rebuilding than two of those teams. If that makes you feel better.
  2. Really? Ofcourse there are Differences in expectation for a coach on the job for the first season, bringing in all new offensive and defensive systems than a guy that had years to bring in his guys and his system and hasn't accomplished anything. How do you not understand that?
  3. He played 13 games silly. It's funny that Detroit, KC, and Tampa all took D-lineman very early in the top of the draft. Plus KC didn't take QB early, they're successful with a (horror ) late round QB. And you can easily make the argument that Suh is directly responsible for more wins. You're really on nonsense roll today.
  4. You're also wrong about the number of returning starters. If you count TO, Trent Edwards, Roscoe/Nelson/Martin, the RT and Moats off the top of the head thats max 17 starters the same, I'm sure if I spent more than 1 second there are even less. You're also wrong about the 2009 season. It was a win now for DJ, his job was on the line from Day 1. The expectations in 2009 were best case a 10 win season, if Trent Edwards could have regained his form from early 2008. That all went in the toilet quick but don't pretend it wasn't a "Put up or shut up" season for DJ.
  5. They do just go in reverse order of record. SOS is used as the first tie breaker when teams have the same record.
  6. Fitz put up huge numbers in Chan's QB friendly system. Just imagine if you get an actual NFL quality QB like Mallet, in the system. See where I'm going with this? Brohm and Mallet have very little to do with each other.
  7. There are quite a few people that smoke crack does that mean they should continue to smoke crack without someone trying to show them the error of their ways?
  8. The Bills quit in the 3rd qtr against the Pats. They didn't try on top of Brohm's ineptitude against the NJ Jets. I doubt it was "intentional" in the sense that Buddy and Chan conspired to lose but the players quit. Everyone on defense was worried about thier knees instead of tackling. Kyle's motor was in 3rd gear. The only intent was the o-line appeared to intentionally kill Brohm. I don't think they like him, Fitz is thier man. They definitely weren't putting in a full effort.
  9. If Luck declares: Now that the Stanford alum has a bigger say in Denver, Elway trades #2 overall, Tim Tebow, #66 overall for #1 overall and Jimmy Claussen in order to take Stanford prospect Andrew Luck. While I'm at it, Urban Meyer has a change of heart and decides to take the Carolina HC Position.
  10. You look at pros and cons. What are the pros in keeping a backup QB that has no ability to deal with speed of the NFL? You can make various excuses if you want. There are dozens of guys that can hold a clip board that have more experience and potential than Brohm.
  11. Yes picking at #21 instead of #16 will turn the Seagulls into a laughing stock over the next 5 years. I don't even know why the draft continues after the #16 pick, they're barely Practice Squad quality players left at that point.
  12. There is no logical argument to keep Brohm on the roster. He cannot be trusted to enter a game. You can sign a much better Backup QB. It absolutely makes no sense to argue this guy deserves a roster spot. He has done nothing in his career in the NFL and has done nothing when given a chance to play. You need to trust that the #2 QB can atleast dump off. He looked like the worst play of JP Lossman and Trent Edwards combined. Its amazing anyone could try to argue he is worth a roster spot. Tyler Thigpen will be a FA, it makes an infinite more amount of sense to sign Thigpen as the #2 or #3 depending on whether or not a QB is drafted than to waste a roster spot with that aBrohmination.
  13. Oh wait, you're comparing 1 draft from 1985 to the draft positions in the 2011 draft. Yes, you must be drunk!
  14. I'm assuming you're drunk. Adrian Peterson was the #7 pick and has been to 4 straight Pro Bowl, and that is just off the top of the head. The Last time the Bills Picked #3 overall it was in 1961 and they took Ken Rice. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RiceKe00.htm Not a stellar career, Oh no, he was from Auburn we can't take Cam Newton then.
  15. You really need a reality check. The 2010 Bills wouldn't win 10 games if they traded Brady for Fitzpatrick straight up. Get it straight now 2011 is best case an 8-8 season worst case a 4-12 season.
  16. No if they make the playoffs they pick #21 after they lose to the Saints. All non playoff teams pick before all playoff teams. Then the playoff teams pick based on record among the teams that lost in the same round they lost.
  17. If you switch Aarons Williams for Dontay Moch and Kenrick Ellis for Wayne Daniels. I would love this. If we got LaMarr Woodley I would be the happiest Bills fan in the world. Even though I love Kyle, he is an awkward fit for a full time 3-4, and Greg Olsen is an awkward fit for a Mike Martz offense so it kinda makes sense.
  18. By the powers granted to me by Two Bills Drive and the NFL I declare the Buffalo Bills the #3 pick in the 2011 draft.
  19. You are insane. If Luck fell to #3 the Bills would do a Spiller like dash to the podium. BTW the Bills have the #16 Payroll in 2010 so realize that Ralph does open his wallet. They Spent more than the Eagles, Chargers, Packers, Colts, Patriots, and Ravens. You base this on what? He is Tim Tebow with passing skills.
  20. You really need to set some more realistic expectations. No one is expecting a Super Bowl run in 2011. Buddy Nix has said there will be more pain. This team is 2 years away from a playoff run. That means 2012 season. In August this was a worst case 1 win team best case 5 win team. The needle points more towards best case than worst case. I hope this rant made you feel better I have no clue why you would have expected better from the 2010 Bills. In 2011 you should expect worst case 4 win season best case 8 win season.
  21. No possible way the Broncos take a QB. Newton will be there for the Bills at #3, but Fairely or Marcell Dareus would be great picks they are 1 man wrecking crews. With Kyle the Rockpile next to them it would be an instant uprade to the defense. It would take 3-4 opposing offensive lineman just to block those two guys.
  22. I don't think you thought about that. You're not drafting from every QB in the NFL "in years". You're drafting from the 2011 draft class. So you get a 98 draft grade with Luck. But you could get a 93 with Newton or a 92 with Mallet. Is it really worth paying the huge cost to trade up? According to the draft value chart it would take the Bills 1st,2nd and 3rd round pick to get the #1. If I'm Carolina I take that deal all day long and laugh my way to the playoffs. While Luck struggles on a team with no defense and a leaky right side of the O-line with no depth. Remember Nix was involved in the receiving end of the Eli Manning\Philip Rivers. I think most would agree San Diego got the better part of that deal. The Giants won the Super Bowl because of the D-Line and that crazy helmet catch not Eli. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670 BTW "best in years" has no concrete meaning.
  23. Tim Tebow is JC's boy. He knows that win wasn't best for Timmay. Plus God hates Buffalo, no way a Hail Marry was going to help Buffalo and hurt Tim Tebow at the same time.
  24. Think about that for two seconds. A team that has tons of needs with tons of great talent in the 2nd and 3rd round in this year's draft, you decide to trade up to get an incrementally better prospect than the other QB prospects in the draft. That would be an idea that would set your franchise back.
