I agree with Bowers being overrated. The Bills taking a perimeter player at #3 is disastrous, imo. Prince Amukamara will be a good CB in the NFL IMO. Peterson is going to be abused and with the expectations that come with being drafted in the top 10 its going to blow up for whatever team makes that mistake. Either way I don't want Amukamara or Peterson to be drafted by the Bills at #3. BTW Justin Blackmon is a huge stud he would be a great Top 20 pick for the Bills in 2012. He Could end up being a rare WR worthy of a Top5 pick. Weeden and Blackmon are going to put up huge numbers if they stay healthy in 2012. People that thought Luck going back to school were wrong imo, there isn't really a significant injury that will knock a QB like Luck out of #1 unless he looses a limb. However Blackmon was a first round pick in 2011. If a WR blows a knee, he is no longer going in the first round. That was a mistake imo. I wish him the best though,

How about these ones? Peterson is a bust. Busty Busty Bust. Like Bill Belichick size bust. Stay away. If you are vying for the Bills to make the mistake of taking a DB at #3, atleast go with Prince Amukamara. I think I finally got it.

Its better you don't know now, if you did it would change the outcome.

Yes He has been playing for LSU since 2008. Where do you think these players come from? I use my two eyeballs to watch a few games and my brain doesn't think he will translate to a "shut down" corner. His footwork and hips are raw. He'd be better off playing Free Safety imo. But Todd McShay and Kiper disagree with me. Todd McShay, the guy that though Aaron Maybin would was one of the best Defensive player in the 2009 draft and would be a great DE in the NFL. Where it was clear he was a bust from Day 1.

Good Point. I'll try again Peterson is a bust. Busty Busty Bust. Like Dolly Parton size bust. Stay away. If you are vying for the Bills to make the mistake of taking a DB at #3, atleast go with Prince Amukamara. That might make more sense.

It was probably that the NFL executives aren't paid enough to be tortured by watching the Buffalo Bills play. NFL exec in NYC, "Who is this red, white and blue team that is playing the Jets? We didn't authorize a College-NFL scrimmage game."

I think it's spelled Wanstache.
-
It's a layered backup plan. You don't put an employee on notice in a high demand position unless you have a replacement ready. They're giving Edwards a chance to perform, giving him additional assistance with Wanstache and if he still fails they can let him go and the 'Stache can be Do-Co. I like the move.

So much for the NEED to have a "franchise QB"...

Wow Hopeful. I always thought your name was ironic because most of your posts are so hopeless in their attitude for The Bills future. Now not only is Cam Newton or Ryan Mallet not good enough to QB the Bills, Daunte Culpeper in his prime, Jay Cutler, and Ben Roethlisburger may not be good enough for you either. You do understand an NFL QB is a human being not a comicbook super hero, right? Would the far majority of Bills fans rest assured that the QB position was in good hands if any of the players in your list were the QB of the Bills? The answer is yes. -
FA, not the Draft, I think will be this years fan killer

Correct no more players born in the 70s time for players born in the 90s (puke) that only know the Bills as a laughing stock, doormat, minor league team in the NFL. -
Btw Moffit is only on there because he is Moffit and I am developing a man crush on him. I wouldn't take another guard there and I think Moffit will go earlier than the 4th. After watching as much Costanzo as I could find all that stood out was how good Moffit is.

You did it McD! 10 pages! Out manned, out gunned, out of position and you're still belligerently defending that Defense is the only thing that matters. Even in the face of the many posters that have iterated and reiterated that there are only 1st round Franchise QBs left in the playoffs. You are a special breed and a true American hero. A tip of the hat sir. -
Yes Bell Levitre Wood Moffit Love is the goal. Linkenkohl can play special teams, and maybe can be versatile enough to be depth at G/C. That Oregon line was quick and strong so he might be able to pull from the guard spot and as a Center he has to understand line calls. The Colts seem to keep drafting College Centers because they're smarter and then move them to Guard. The hangman always seemed like a stop gap to me when Duke Preston failed. Hangman is a good journey man but he does blow some assignments in a really bad way a few times a game. I really don't see him playing out the 2 years left on his contract. If Link can't hack it at G then he ends up a 7th round cut. If Wood works out at C in preseason and Link can be depth at G/C and play special teams then even though the guy is a scrapper Hangman would have to hit the road early. The only question I have is how much of clubhouse leader he has he been to Wood and Levitre, that I don't know and if I were Nix that would influence my decision in making the 7th round pick.

1.) Last year there were not many quality free agents because of the rules around FA in the "no cap year" you can't say that the Bills were cheap. There was Julian Peppers . . . and? The Bills Dwan Edwards was actually the #9 rated Free Agent in 2010. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/35718728/ns/sports-nfl/ 2.) The Reason why the FA list is so long is because no one can get an extension for more than 30% of the base "30% rule." There is no FA until after a new CBA and no one knows what the rules around RFA. (basically in 2010 free agency you had to be over 28 to be a unrestricted Free Agent.) Free Agency won't begin until the CBA is straightened out. 3.) You are right on. The Bills need to sign a TE, QB, and probably a RT through FA and draft defensive needs and O-Line depth. Ryan Harris and Bo Scaife could be realistic options. -
Are safeties worth a top-5 draft pick?
1B4IDie replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ed Reed isn't "Ed Reed" without Ray Lewis and the Ravens Front7 allowing him to play fast and loose. -
Brian Brohm has a second head in between his nipples? Between those two heads this kid can't figure out how to play QB in the NFL, thats pretty sad. No wonder why they call him an aBrohmination.

1B4IDie replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It has to be the right team and the right safety, most likely a team drafting Top5 isn't built in the trenches enough to draft a player outside the Front7, O-Line, or QB. So the answer is almost never. -

You can expand that to all DBs A relevant opine I posted on a different site concerning Patrick Peterson: Taking a CB in the Top 5 is a risky proposition I doubt that a new Front Office in Denver makes their first draft pick a CB. You build through the Trenches then build out to CB and WRs. The other way around is a Mat Millenesque. Since 2001: Sean Taylor at #5 in 2004, Pacman Jones #6, Antrel Rolle #8, Carlos Rodgers #9 in 2005, Michael Huff #7, Donte Whitner #8 in 2006, LaRon Laundry #6 2007, Eric Berry #5 Joe Hadden #7 in 2010. The Redskins drafted 3 DBs in the Top 10 since 2001. Buffalo and Oakland all make the "Take a DB in the Top10" list; Not really the model a new organizational leader wants to follow. There hasn't been a DB taken #2 overall since 1991 Eric Turner, then Bruce Pickens #3 IMO Patrick Peterson is way over rated he looks more like a Safety then a CB. I highly doubt he goes #2 overall. I actually Think Prince will be the first DB off the board. -
Seconded
-
Noooooooo!! Don't even mention that! Bell Levitre Hangartner Wood Butler would have been an above average O-Line.

Arthur Moats once took a CPR class, this way he can kill you, revive you, and kill you again

or Gabbert. What is a Blaine Gabbert? Sounds like a Ryan Leaf. Blaine Gabbert is a figment of Todd McShay's imagination (and CAAs payola.)
