Definitely reading something wrong 3 tackles is not dominating. I watched all the practices and the game so I'm suprised anyone would call his Senior Bowl performance dominant. Cam Jordan is a stud and will be a top ten pick. It will be called a reach but what's the Bills on draft day without the term reach. I agree that Dareaus is pretty much a sure thing, but it's also pretty much a sure thing he is going to Denver at #2.
-
Yeah DE in a 4-3 isn't even on the table. I fully think he could be a great pro. I'm just not sold on him at Rush and at #3 overall. When guys like Fairely, Dareaus and Cam Jordon on the board (Yeah I said Cam Jordan, go ahead and tell me how he is a Top20 pick and Von Miller is a much better value. Then lets see where he really goes come the end of April.)
-
I don't think its a typo they have Miller listed as a DE and Wanstache has coached the 4-3 predominately. I've noted that PFW is an unreliable source of information, even though they have a name that would lead you to think otherwise. No one in the NFL or world is proclaiming that Von Miller will or can be a DE in a 4-3. I think this just highlights PFW cluelessness.

Anyone think the NFLPA messed up?

All of that is true. The situation that was presented, is if you have all the current stars and future stars in League A and replacement players in League B. Which league would you watch? -

I think you're speaking for just you. I'll watch Brees and Roddy White in the UFL. I could really give a crap what the league is called as long as I know its the top of the top players. If All the NFL player's said screw the NFL, we're going to play in the UFL and all of the drafted players said screw the NFL, and the best college football players were guaranteed to go to the UFL. And the UFL took the risk to give them big contracts and was able to get a contract with NBC, CBS, ABC, or ESPN. Well them I'd watch the UFL. -
Interesting this is he doesn't have Derrick Sherrod going in the 1st. That would be a great pick at #34

I'm watching "Full Color Football, the History of the AFL" on NFL Network. Cookie Gilchrist was big bad man. Looked like a man running over boys. Also funny story about the New Orleans all star game and the protest. Cookie Gilchrist says "I want a cab" to the cab stand. The Cabbie say "We need to call y'all a colored cab." Cookie says "I don't care what color the cab is, we just need a cab." They also kind of made it seem the black players were punished by the AFL for protesting. Definitely recommend watching. RIP Cookie.

I like draft A in a landside. Also can you please do something about the Jake Locker pick on draftek's board. Can you lock him out in all rounds. Locker would set the Bills back 5 years.

Anyone think the NFLPA messed up?

One fact that I found interesting is unlike in the NBA, 75% of the teams were well under the salary cap in 2009. They're not really running out of cap room, (or maybe they were preparing for the lockout) A second fact is if the NFL already knows what the "nuclear Bomb" is and has two years to prepare, wouldn't you think 32 Billionaires and their lawyers would come up with something to counter the bomb drop? -
Another interesting bit in that ESPN Insider article: Look who is #5 . . .hmmm wonder if all that 5 step drop stuff is really that important.

You mean protest because there is no free agency yet? no thanks.

Well-Thought-Out CBA Negotiation Article

before we hit the amazing rant below, the networks are in the red when you look at the actual Billions paid fir the NFL rights and the money made from broadcasting but you're correct in that they see it as a vehicle to attract viewers for their other (crappy) shows. But your original point was the owners spend Just as much as they make. When in fact the do very little spending especially spending to promote the game, they have 4 networks that do a great Job of that and essentially are being paid to have their sport promoted for them. The maxim of "you have to spend money to make money" which seemed to be what you were promoting need not apply here. If it were to apply the money was spent 40-50 years ago and now it's just the make money part of the maxim. What? So the players need to take a pay cut so the NFL can give money to charity? That's a stretch. Yes it is a free market but it's not not 1800s Robber Barren style. The NFL owners that have done very little to improve the game in the last 20 years can share the revenue with the people that generate the revenue. The market can not bare what the owners are asking it to bare. -
Vikes Looking Into the Possibility Of Trading Up...
1B4IDie replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would take that deal Fo' Sho! Remember they traded their 3rd for Randy Moss (what an idiotic move) So Essentially they'd be taking Cam Newton then not picking until their 5th. If they wanted to do that I would take the deal in a heartbeat. You can take JJ Watt at #12 Calvin Sheppatd, Mason Foster, or maybe Marcus Cannon in the second And A whole host of options in the 4th Mccarthy Or Casey Mathews, Vareen or Chimdi Chekwa Or turn our 3 4ths into a Third second round pick. Plus the Vikes have a lot of UFAs so they are really in rebuilding mode next year. The 2012 first round is likely a top 10. I would love that trade. -

Total bull **** 1.) No they don't spend more (the networks do) 2.) if an NFL team is in the red show it. Highly unlikely. 3.) No one asked anyone to build a Billion dollar stadium. The Ralph was built over 30 years ago and is still a beaut ;-) -
I know I shouldn't feed the troll but you realize Aaron Rodgers had the second most rushing yards on the Packers last year and that Ben Roethlisberger is not really a pocket passer right? or do you really believe the nonsense you post?

The way I see it: NFL Owners:I need you to take a pay cut, work more days, and we're not going to employ any more help. NFLPA: Why? NFL Owners: Because we're poor (while having their Harem feed them grapes and fan them.) -
Terry Pegula would be the NFL's third-richest owner
1B4IDie replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What does "slug-free" mean? I'm guessing the Buffa-slug AKA Donald Trump's hair piece is still hanging on various places @ HSBC. Terry is planning to erase all evidence of one of the worse logos in pro sports history by next Hockey season. -
I think it was over 15 yards when blitzed. Now just over 15 yards.

You're leaving off his 37 rushing TDs, 17 4th QTR comebacks, 23 game winning drives. And you're forgetting that Steve McNair is a Heads and Shoulders better when compared to: Todd Collins Alex Van Belt Doug Floutie Rob Johnson JP Lossman Kelly Holcomb Trent Edwards Ryan Fitzpatrick Brian aBrohmination -

Yeah at Alcorn state he tore up the competition. He has like 6,000 total yards, with about 1000 rushing and ton of TDs. If you put Steve McNair in the SEC 4,000+ yards and 51TDs could be understandable. There were questions about McNair and "Pro-Style" offenses. McNair had to go to DivI-AA to play QB over Safety Newton had to go to J-Co to play QB (and avoid NCAA sanctions) over being converted to an H-Back. -
This is incorrect. He does not have a slow release. This is not a Byron Leftwich situation. He has a long arm, but to say he has a slow release is an exaggeration at best and just pure speculation at worst. I have watched about 7 Arkansas games and it is a weird release but not slow. You know who it actually looks like. It looks like Michael Vick's release. They both do a weird fraction of a second twist in their arm that looks weird.

Catering to Bills fans is what got this organization in the mess that it is in. Buddy Nix does strike me as the catering to fans, type. What would be interesting if there are examples of a top 5 QB pick sitting for a year, than becoming a bust. I can't think of any of the top of my head. BTW Steve McNair was the #3 overall pick and also sat for most of his first year too. I know that was a long time ago. (I'm going to push for the Steve McNair Cam Newton comparisons. That qualifies color for those that can't see pass color and similar playing styles in college. )
