  1. I can live with that risk especially if we get a 2nd unblockable force on the D-Line helping to send Arthur Moats to the probowl. Fact, there used to be a street named after Arthur Moats, they had to change the name of the street because no one crosses the Moats and lives.
  2. I like that board at #68 Because he stood out I looked into it,some sites that already have 2012 draft info up, and I dont know how reliable it is but they give Brandon Thomson a 2-3 round grade. I'm guessing he can only move up from there.
  3. Thank you! On page 3 of that Von Miller thread I said, I expect more from the #3 pick than getting close to the ball carrier. I got destroyed and haven't mentioned it since but seriously in that Nebraska film he makes like 2 tackles and 4 assists and just runs around and gets pushed out of the way the rest of the time.
  4. Everytime I watch Bowers highlights. Jarvis Jenkins and Brandon Thomson stick out. Is that 93, no that's 98. Is that 93, no that's 99.
  5. I actually Don't want the Bills to draft Newton at #3 but I find that haterade parade funny. Cam Newton has a good chance to be great in the NFL, I'm not completely sold. My concern is not his throwing motion, his smile, buying a stolen laptop, or his family possibly taking a kickback. My problem when watching him play is he appears to make slow decisions. He can make every throw but he seems to be a second off in his timing. I find this worrisome because in the NFL he'll have less time; not more, than the 21 wonderlic kind of killed the deal for me. I just find some of the stuff people say about this kind comical though.
  6. Is this smile real or fake? http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/rap_sheet/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/tom-brady-2.jpg I'm not sure what that has to do with getting TDs on the football field . . .
  7. OMG! He Bought a stolen laptop and tried to hide it! I'd put him right up there with Hitler as far as bad people go. I bought a camera from a crack head on the corner Elmwood and Allen when I was in College, and everyone knows what a horrible person I am. And if any college would have paid me $100,000 on top of a scholarship to attend their university. I would have been there 2 weeks early to make sure I didn't miss the first day of class. Again, because I'm such a horrible person.
  8. Oh, it started at the 0:16 mark and went until the 8:00 minute mark.
  9. This is not a "result of a lot of research:" "Very disingenuous - has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup. Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them. Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law - does not command respect from teammates and will always struggle to win a locker room...Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness - is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example. Immature and has had issues with authority. Not dependable." This is filled with forward looking statements that are not based on research but based on opinion. But the guy's got to try to do some damage control.
  10. Guz Malzahn went out of his way to get Cam Newton's back and refute the Nawrocki article on Mike & Mike this morning. I find it strange that Nolan Nawrocki admits he never met Cam Newton yet wrote a personal scathing assessment. It sounds like a slam dunk libel lawsuit if Cam really wanted to try it. Drama. I think Nawrocki is going to end up losing credibility on this one.
  11. I know people will call Ponder a reach at #34 but I tend to think that if they don't pick up an extra second in a trade down, they may go Ponder at #34 because they don't want to risk missing out. For some reason people on this board fell in love with Kapernick but I think Ponder is the one that the guys at One Bills Drive like. I'm preparing myself for the "reach" combo of Cam Jordan/Christian Ponder. It would be a very Buffalo Bills like draft, and for a change I wouldn't mind.
  12. Good info, I think the complete mum stance on Ponder is because Gailey already knows him pretty well and spent time with him in the Senior Bowl. If they trade down and get an extra second, that extra second has Christian Ponder's name all over it. Just my complete unfounded speculation. I hate this Walter Chompsky mock, this would be horrible. All the D-Line talent in we pass on it. I would be thoroughly worried about one Bills Drive if something like that happened. Good news is I doubt that mock is close to reality.
  13. I wonder if after eating money sandwiches you poop out nickels and pennies.
  14. I agree, but I didn't want to take Bang's mock down that path because Sherrod will be a good RT, imo and Bell will be a good LT imo.
  15. Not a Miler fanboy but I like the rest of the draft. I don't know much about Lawrence Guy or Cedric Thomas but I do like 300+
  16. I thought we established the Steve McNair comparisons. Meeting people's strange obsession to comparing Cam Newton to only Black QBs and a style of play that was similar in college. After 50 pages we're still using JaMarcus Russell that has very little to do with Cam Newton besides skin color.
  17. Which other 1 year wonder do you want the Bills to take? Bowers? Quinn? Fairely? Dareus?
  18. Good point. Incase you hadn't noticed Lynch wanted out of Buffalo and Freddy is on the otherside of 30. So the "luxury pick" isn't as luxurious as a certain Buffalo sports writer (not what I'd journalist) will let you believe. Furthermore there is maybe 1 impact RB in the 2011 draft. This would be a horrible year to have to draft a RB and there are tons of question marks around Mark Ingram's ability to produce in the NFL. So maybe Buddy Nix wasn't so silly for taking the best available player on everyone's board at the top of Buffalo's pick. (Although still was silly for making it so fast as it's pretty clear that San Diego might have traded up.)
  19. Trading down the pick isn't 1.) "out of the box" or 2.) a bad move. Let's see if you can count here. If there are 9 (as pointed earlier 10 with Cam Jordan) perfectly acceptable picks at #3 And they trade down to #5 or #7, at least how many of those purposely acceptable picks will be available? If they were perfectly acceptable at #3, wouldn't they be perfectly acceptable at #9. And for the trouble you get atleast an additional 2nd and a 4th, seems like trading down is a no brainer in this draft. (Also why a team wanting to trade up is more fiction than reality.)
  20. Then the Bills have a realistic trade down chance. Pick up an extra 2nd and a 5th and trade Gain Blabbert to Arizona and they can still get the guy they want. Hey if Peterson/AJ green go 4th to Cinci. You may even be able to trade #5 down for Prince Amakumara/Julio Jones. A boy can dream . . .
  21. I don't disagree I think Miller is on Buddy's radar, and is a safer pick than Quinn. I just think the Bills won't be calling Miller's name on draft day. I also think that Quinn has a higher ceiling than Miller, but again way more riskier in my opinion. I can't wait for this freaking draft to get here.
  22. I agree with you. BUT The Guy is an athletic freak for his size. The Good news is that I highly doubt that based on Buddy Nix' one year of being a GM for the Bills and drafting almost all 4 year players that were team captain's that Robert Quinn is on One Bills drive radar in the first round. Robert Quinn has a better shot at going #23 imo over #3, real world GMs are going to be scared of this dude. Just think if he turns into a bust, its not just 1 red flag with this guy, and its not just comments at a press conference, there are multiple big red flags with this guy, it will be so easy for Owners and fans to lynch a GM if Quinn turns into a Top 10 bust. However if he falls to #15-#25 with a team that probably already has good coaching the GM looks like a genius if he pans out. If he he busts maybe the GM won't get killed if a team that is already stacked takes a flyer an athletic kid that on paper could be dominant. Stiff hips, plays like a safety and not a "shutdown corner" in college. However with that 40 time, my concerns have wained because he might have just been bating QBs into throwing to him because he know he could recover and make a pick. I still want some Beef though, In the 1st and 2nd rounds. 2 is better than 1.
  23. Its just one man's opinion pawned off as a rigorous system.
  24. I think Ponder at #34 is more likely to meet the QB statement. That gives you the Nix 4 year player, Team Captain criteria to align with the straight shooter statements.
