I used to buy a jersey every year but two years a go a made a pact I won't buy another jersey until they finish above .500. They need to prove to me they're trying. However if the new jersey's are as sweet as they could be and the Bills draft Cam Jordan I could be tempted. BTW anyone want to buy a Trent Edwards, JP lossman, or "Beastmode". Actually I modified "Beastmode" to say "Help Wanted" so just the two futures of the franchises are up for grabs.

How can you read my post and interpret that as advocating? This is an adult conversation where you discuss all options. Way to go Jeremy2020 chiming in with stupid on top of stupid, atleast add some interesting information like Tony did. Interesting so Ponder's not the highly regarded.

I see a lot of Kaepernick and Dalton talk but people have seemed to forget about Ponder. Ponder has said Georgia Tech was his second choice and that Chan Gailey recruited him very hard. Chan put Ponder in for two shifts in the Senior Bowl. Chan knows everything he needs to know about the guy. Ponder showed good accuracy and decision in making in college. I never got a chance to see a full game (I find ACC football to be a farce) He does seem to have a bit of a noodle arm but that may be because he is coming off of injury. If I hear Ponders name at #34 I wouldnt be suprised at all. If we trade down and get a second second round pick I think that will be Ponder. Anyone watch the kid play?

Actually there are not many Miller Haters either. Just people that don't think an undersized speed rusher is the best use of the #3 overall pick. I hope Miller has a long and healthy career, maybe in the NFC West. I'm glad you spend your free time "defending" Miller from "haters" when you're not even sold on him at #3 either. Instead of working together on trying to reach some consensus on what to do with #3 overall. (not that I think this year that will ever happen but Miller will never be the consensus fan pick. )

How do you not have Kyle Williams, or Bills from the 90s in the poll since that'll probably most of them.

Another reason why we should pick...

No but there is an East Coast Bias. It's not easy to watch a PAC-10 game if you're East of Texas. Marcel Dareus, and Nick Fairely were undoubtedly in national televisied games much more than Cam Jordan. -

Taking a 3-4 DE that high is just as unusual as taking a lB that high. There are some certified tackling machines likely available #34 like Martez Wilson, or the kid from UNC, plus additional line strength like Stephen Paea, If Jeremy Beal is there at #68 I like that pick a lot, that guy has nice inside and outside moves. Can get caught in blocks but has the potential to be a beast on the edge. There are some impact players the Bills can pick up all the way through to pick #99. Not a lot of top tier talent in my opinion but there are about 60 players I'd give a second round grade. -
Who is worthy of our second pick in the draft?
1B4IDie replied to danbaldo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ponder and Chan heart each other. I wouldn't be suprised if Ponder ends up the pick at #34. If you think the list for #3 is long. I think the list for #34 is 3 times as long. It's gonna be a crazy draft. -

This makes no sense. Jordan is a top 10 pick. Especially in a year with no organized team activities. The guy is a pro, he'll be in camp on shape in July or August. He is a worst case a triple, best case a home run. He dominated in college and tore up the Senior Bowl. If he played in the SEC instead of the PAC10 there would be no question in taking him #3 overall. The team needs a sure thing not another bust. He will be an unblockable force on the D-Line for the next 10 years and probably become the face of the franchise like Bruce Smith. You may think he's Clark Kent but don't let the glasses fool you. The guy has "IT" Dareus and Fairely may debatably have higher ceilings but both have 4 levels of basement potential. The team needs the sure thing. -
Not a Quinn guy, if anything I'm a Cam Jordan guy.

Why would anyone think Von Miller can cover a TE? He didn't in college. It's a complete unknown. He should be able to because of his atheletism but he needs many more reps and practice before we can pretend he is a fix for the leaky TE pass coverage. That's complete imagination to add this to his already fantasy filled list of strengths. "Von Miller can control QBs Minds and make them throw the ball directly to him." (Not that his Stone Hands would be able to catch it though.

In the original Von Miller thread we just came to an amicable summary Its basically Camp A believes a productive college speed rusher's game will translate well to the NFL. Camp B believes a productive college speed Rusher's game will not translate well to the NFL. I don't think at this point in time anyone in either camp is likely to be convinced one way or another. Only time will tell. I'd personally prefer the Bills roll the dice elsewhere.

See: Cam Jordan.

Let me get this straight. Your two eyes look at the picture and see a big guy and a little guy. The Little guy being a player that for a fact played college ball at 237ish for years then bulled up to 246 for the draft is now standing next to a WR that we know is 6-5 230. We're going to refuse what our eyes tell us about the picture and create a conspiracy of camera angles and tailoring. In order to deny that it's not likely that Von Miller has kept on all the weight he put on for the combine. Which, BTW isn't the worst thing in the world. Just call it like you see it. Von Miller looks to be closer to his college playing weight than his combine weight, it's no big whoop. (unless of course you may think there is something to the "size nazis" point . . .)
-
Wow the denial is amazing.

Although I didn't vote for Yates, I hope he wins so the Redundancy Department of Redundancy Draft can continue. Isn't Terry Griffin a gigantic NT?
-
Jake Locker came off of a 5-7 season with an under 55% completion percentage and a 20 wonderlic. He had as much chance as going in Top 10 as I did. Its just complete nonsense. Like the article said he has "Buzz" and no one watched the tape. The Top10 hype was after his Freshman year.
-
I don't understand the fascination with Locker. There are 100s of College QBs. Locker was a horrible college QB with a winning percentage under .300 and huge accuracy and decision making problems. There is not really any reason to believe he will be successful in the NFL beside the fact that he is tall.
-
I don't man, That picture looks like he can't keep the extra 8-10 pounds he put on for the combine on. Not that I work at Carnival, but the guy with the glasses looks under 240 to me.
-
That is incorrect. Von Miller was a DE for his first 3 seasons, including his most impressive Junior year. He has his had on the ground 95% of the time. Texas A&M switched to a 3-4 his Senior year where he played Joker and had his hand on the ground or speed rush from the Edge more than 50% of the time. If drafted #3 he would be drafted to play that Joker role in the NFL, some may say a Mini-Joker.

What's wrong with Cam Jordan?
-
Wow. This explains so much.

Size Nazis, you mean people that realize appropriate size of NFL players? You can't just play anyone at any position because "they're a football player." An outside LB has to go against LTs regularly. Which because I'm size Nazi, I know, are bigger stronger and faster than interior offensive lineman. Meaning, generally that OLB have to be bigger, faster, and stronger. But we can pretend size doesn't matter in your utopian gold star for everyone "you can do IT!" because you heart football-ville. I did. What I worry is the Bills take him at #3 overall then spend two years trying to fit a square peg into a round hole at OLB. Doesn't help the team and holds the defense back. I actually doubt that OBD is going to make this pick, its such a clearly bad pick with so much risk and so little upside over what you can get later in the draft any professional worth their salt wouldn't make that pick. There is a reason actually NFL teams don't take LBs that high. And the last two AJ Hawk and Aaron Curry didn't exactly live up to their draft position.

Dont be suprised if you hear this name called
