  1. Here's your sign: http://www.norcalblogs.com/bored/heres-your-sign.jpg
  2. There are new people incharge of Pro personnel and they report to Doug Whaley who comes from the 'Burgh so no FO witch hunt is needed. Don't forget Harrison was cut a few times by the 'Burgh before he became somebody. I don't think Maybin is a case of the Bills not developing him sometimes its up to the individual (and HGH.)
  3. He is now closer to the age where he should have been drafted. A young man's body can change a lot of 20 to 23. He is still young. Who knows. Even if he somehow turns it around before he becomes a free agent it will always be a horrible pick. He is not special enough to spend two years waiting around and developing. Orakpo was the no brainer at that point in the draft. You could have let some other team wait on Maybin we needed an impact player 2 season ago. Thats sad news about his child though. Maybe I'll lay off him a bit. Now that we have many of the holes filled on defense, or appear to be filled if the rookies can perform. I don't have to worry about Maybin. I've already written him off, it'd be more of nice to have if he turns it around.
  4. I'd be more interested in spending a 6th on someone young with upside like Dennis Dixon. Then wheeling in a has-been like Palmer. You'd think the Steelers might be happy almost breaking even on Dixon. I don't know if Charlie Batch and Leftwitch will be back in 2011 so the Steelers need to sign a backup QB anyway. Chan with Dixon could be pretty interesting. Or now that Josh Freeman is the man in TB, Josh Johnson would look nice holding a clipboard and learning from Chan. Denis Dixon and Josh Johnson are more of the type of QB Chan seems to want in his offense. In the hands of Chan these guy would be pretty interesting. If the offseason has proved anything it has proven that with "Camp Fitzzy" Fitzpatrick is the unquestioned leader of the team that the team can rally around. Bringing in Palmer or VY is probably just bad mojo that doesn't make the team better. Bring in a young guy that isn't a real threat but with some tutelage could give you something and possibly be a challenge to whatever rookie we draft in 2012, or 2013.
  5. Exactly Choices being Fitzy, Trent, ABrohmination, Levi, LOSSman you start Fitzy. Fitzy Gabbert Locker Ponder Dalton Kapernick, and Levi in 2011 you start Fitzy
  6. Look at the picture again. See those eyes and nose; She is definitely related by blood. I don't know where the "hot" comes from. She likes like Ralph Wilson -50 years with a wig on. It can be a Great Uncle, Grand Niece type of deal. It appears she graduated from UVA in 1997 which would make her around 36. But you're correct I don't know why anyone would assume she has an allegiance to Buffalo.
  7. What this study doesn't capture is the difference in Edwards vs Fitzpatrick. Plays that Fitzpatrick successfully executed the called play and was able to deliver the ball on time in an effective manor without giving the opposing defense time to put pressure on the QB as compared to plays where LOSSman\Post Concussion Edwards would stand there, deer in the headlights, until the opposing defense sacked them or they dumped off the ball under pressure. It would be interesting to see number of "pressure plays" as a percentage of total passing plays comparing Edwards to Fitzpatrick in 2009 and 2010. Same O-Line, Same Skill players, but I expect that Edwards was "pressured" more often as a result of holding the ball too long.
  8. I guess no one remembers. When the young woman took over the team, she then tried to move the team to LA.
  9. So if this is "Any Given Sunday" she is Cameron Diaz. Remember what Cameron Diaz was trying to do?
  10. Whaley worked the draft. It's pretty simple. Scouting for the 2012 draft started last week. The people you are mist likely going to hire are working for another team leading up to the draft. Would you want to hire a person that is going to leave their current team in the lurch right before the draft? You're probably not getting a great candidate then. Do you think Gruden or Fisher are going to be hired as coaches in February or November? These just two of many reasons why the personal changes happen after the draft.
  11. I contend Colt McCoy had NFL arm, sound decision making, good enough pocket presence, and good enough accuracy but went in the 3rd round. Matt Barkley has NFL arm, sound decision making, good enough pocket presence, and good enough accuracy. It can all be moot if Markley turns out to be 6'3". He is still a young and man and still growing. Yes I'm surprised a team took Locker that high. It'll be interesting to see how soon they regret the pick. It looks like he may be starting sooner than later in Tennessee.
  12. Really? You need to address the obvious statement? If Matt Barkley measures UNDER 6'2" he will not go in the first round. He doesn't have Michael Vick's skill and Drew Brees didn't go in the first round either. I'm not saying he can't win games in the NFL which Colt McCoy was able to do with his limited starts. I am making a pretty sound claim. If Barkley measures at 6'1' NFL teams are going to be very leary to make him a first round pick. There is really no reason to take issue with that and try to make a counter claim, you need only look as far as Colt McCoy to see what happens to a winning college QB that measures under 6'2". Barkley has more of an arm than Colt but none the less I don't think he would be a top 15 pick. Its a huge concern for QB's as NFL lineman average around 6'4"+.
  13. 2011 was not a weak QB class. 2012 is.
  14. The Problem being that we don't have any DBs. McGee is icing his knee, Florence is a FA trying to coach UFL, Youbouty is a FA, McKelvin is busy boning up on his Baby Einstein videos. Reggie Corner and Byrd might be able to stop. That be cool if Aaron Williams and Reggie Corner showed up.
  15. Why? The players want to play. The owners locked them out. It'd be the owners that would come down hard.
  16. What is the penalty if a team just said, "F this lookout nonsense let's do some OTAs." Money, Picks? What would happen. I'd like if coach Chan did something like that. "I'm not a player, I'm not an owner, I'm just trying to win." I'd pay a 5th round pick to install the offense and defense early. I'm sure some players would show up.
  17. In a word weak. After Luck and Jones there's really not much. If Barkley measures under 6'2" he won't go 1st round a la Colt McCoy. Foles and Cousins are interesting. If Foles has a big year he could go 1st round. Landry Jones and Andrew Luck are really the only sure 1st rounders. The rest have a lot to prove. Also from the Cam Newton and Gaine Blabbert school of comIng out of nowhere and going 1st round, EJ Manuel from Florida State could move up the draft board of he has a big 2011. All in all, let's not put lipstick on a pig. We didn't get a QB in 2011 draft and the 2012 draft is not a better QB class, it's just a fact. And to the OP Locker is a loser not a winner. He has a career winning percentage under .300. I don't understand how people can say stuff like that. He is anything but a winner.
  18. In a word weak. After Luck there's really not much. If Barkley measured under 6'2" he won't go 1st round a la Colt McCoy. Foles and Cousins are interesting. If Foles has a big year he could go 1st. Landry Jones is really the only other sure 1st rounder.
  19. Sorry Ryan but if you really care about the Bills you would move too. Now that Ganesh is gone the Bills won't make the playoffs again until you move.
  20. I disagree. The Wall of Fame is for Hall of Fame caliber players that don't get in to the actual Hall of Fame a la Andre Reed. Step 1 you get on the Wall of fame, step 2 you get on the Hall of Fame Ballot, maybe one day you make Step 3 the Hall of Fame. I don't believe Phil Hansen is deserved of Step 1, Step 2 or Step 3.
  21. Does seem like a low bar was set for the Wall of Fame on this one. Don't get me wrong Phil Hansen was a grinder and important to the Bills but Wall of Fame? I think the Wall of Fame should be reserved for Hall of Fame Potential players not fan favorites. Phil Hansen has about 0.0000000001% chance of making the NFL Hall of Fame.
  22. Marcellosaurus!* * I take full credit for inventing the nickname Marcellosaurus that I've seen other users. If you find an earlier mention let me know.
  23. Dowling is not bigger than Williams. What is your point anyways? The Bills couldn't draft Dowling because he was already drafted. If anything it's the Gatriots that have to watch Williams and think we could have had him instead, if Dowling doesn't work out.
