Bills Could Avoid Most of Fitz's New Deal
1B4IDie replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe it's somewhere in the middle? Maybe Football is a team sport and a QB can't do it all on his own? I may be crazy though. -
Looks like that Freak out can moved up one week and 9-7 is becoming a day dream. Also that fun football to watch went out the door, especially with the upcoming massacre this weekend.
-
I was wrong about VON Miller. Correct about Cam Newton and Dareus. I guess two out of three ain't bad. better than the Bills' front office for the last 10 years
-
You are equally as likely to draft well from the #10 spot as you are at the #20 spot. There is not a significant drop off. There are not only 10 good players in all of college football.
-
Exactly the difference in the talent pool from #47 pick to the #64 pick is minumal. Teams can draft well at any slot. People that advocate that losing to get a higher pick is a sound strategy only know what Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, and Mike Mayock tell them about the draft class. It makes zero sense and yes I read the whole OP and the entire thread.

Or maybe it could be. It has been curious that the bunch was missing from the Jets game and the Cowgirls game. I think even Phil Simms noted during the Jets game that the Bills went away from the bunch that they used extensively in the first 7 games. He said he was surprised because it is a good way to get away from the press-man coverage the Jets were working. It is strange that they went away from something that was working. If it's working keep doing it until someone stops it. The Jets didn't stop the bunch they stopped the spread.

Poll: The Bills' No. 1 Solution

The answer for 2011 is go back to using the bunch formation extensively and go back to getting turnovers on defense. -

To run a power running game you need a power o-line. With Fred Jackson at RB, Levitre at C and McIntyre at FB, you have maybe 3/7th of what you need to run a power running game. -

We used the bunch formation extensively, I haven't seen the WR in a bunch to relieve the man press coverage much the last two games. I find that curious. An 8-8 or 9-7 finish is going to have this team ahead of schedule on a rebuild. They need to draft about 4 LBs some CBs that can play and maybe pickup a real WR or real Tackle in free agency for the 2012 play off push. Remember they play the NFC west next year. If they can go 2-2 in the AFC south, 3-1 in the nFC west 4-2 in division then 1-1 in the Afc north and west match ups that's 10-6 in 2012 and a possible playoff spot. If the Jets implode next year (like I expect; age on defense; sick of Rex's BS) even better. This year isn't over but now the San Diego and second Jets game are basically playoff games. Ten is no slouch, Den is no slouch but at home those have to be wins. Miami in Buffalo. Gets you to 8-6 (after the Dolphins loss this weak) If they can somehow pull off wins @NYJ (not likely) and @SD (somewhat likely) they can still get to 10-6 but I'm not holding my breath. -
Yeah the team has been exposed, the defense has played the same as the beginning of the season. The difference is, the team was getting 3+ turnovers a game. No turnovers and the defense has no energy in the 4th. They still need to draft about 4LBs in 2012 plus a 2 CBs and maybe a real WR. The team is rebuilding and should finish at 8-8 or 9-7 which is a huge stride from 2010. Its been a fun season minus the last two games. I'm hoping for 7 more fun games to watch.

Via Gailey - Pretenders not contenders!
1B4IDie replied to PO'14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You get handled easily two weeks in a row and you (McKelvin, McGee, and Florence) proved you are a pretender. Good for Chan for calling out the team. Still rebuilding. They still need to draft about 4 LBs and just trade the CBs for a sack of footballs. Since they're no where near their man you'd have the same result with them on or off the field. -
Would you want these season stats from your starting QB
1B4IDie replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes -
Kyle Williams went to see Dr Robert Anderson in North Carolina. He is a foot guy. If it were an Achilles he would be seeing Dr Andrews in Florida. Your source is full of poop. You can tell them I said so.

Would you rather have Green and Dalton?
1B4IDie replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you allow me to summarize. This poster would not rather have Green over Dareus. If you allow me to summarize. This poster would not rather have Green over Dareus. If you allow me to summarize. This poster would not rather have Green over Dareus. To summarize it was clearly not a good idea to discuss Green over Dareus. There is not much to discuss. The answer is No by 99.9% of the board. Not to mention that if the "Good old days" mean second guessing and nit picking every move the Bills management makes, Including no brainer decisions to take a game changing defensive force over a peripheral WR then you can have the good old days. Now Lets talk about how we should have taken Mason Foster and Sam Acho over Kelvin Sheppard and Searcy. -

No. Thread over. -
That goes all the way through the first 4 rounds. Mason Fostor in the 3rd I loved and is looking like a stud. Sam Acho in. The 4th has a sack in 3straight games now that he is getting more snaps. Brooks Reed in th second. Adrian Clayborn Andy Dalton. Torrey Smith etc etc etc This year definitely has many more impact rookies than in year's past. (My draft would have been sick. If I were in charge of the Bills. I have enough threads to back it up Dareus, Aaron Williams, Foster, Acho but I can't complain.)

I stand corrected. -
you clearly do not understand what straw-man argument means.
-
Correct Are you blind too? incorrect It is possible to have a discussion with horrible refering without the discussion infering that is the reason the Bills lost Correct And Why dis everyone forget about the non PI in the end zone.
-
Not that the Bills offense had an answer for the Jets defense. But 2 BullSh1t Pass Interference calls, and 1 non call when Burress tackles the corner back before the catch. Shocker.

Leading up to this week there are three games that every sports pundit and sports talk radio host are talking about: LSU-'Bama The Steeler-Ravens. The Jets-Bills. It's not just because I'm a Bills fan I noticed that, but this is a big time, national attention game. My wife, whose family are browns fan, came home yesterday afternoon and asked me "Do you know the last time the Bills were 6-2?" I answered "it's been awhile." "She responded in 1993, the last time they went to the Super Bowl." I asked "how did you know that?" "Some guy said it on the radio." She dorsn't listen to sports talk and we live in the DC area. This is big time national attention game. There have been very few times in the last decade that the Bills have garnered this type of attention the last 10 year and they pretty much have choked them all (i.e. prime time games against the Pats, Cowgirls and Browns) NOT THIS TIME! It's a new decade and a new team that won't find ways to lose. This time the Bills send the Jets on a season ending tailspin in front of the whole country. Go Bills!

Since the Bills have played the Dolphins yet and the Bills haven't played the Bills yet either. ;-) I didn't mean common opponents. I meant that I didn't think that the Giants play in those games would give anyone any hope that the giants can beat the Patriots. Not because of their opponents but because of their actual play. -
Start from the top and read it all again.

BBSD is correct. All though the Times Tribune article would lead one to believe that that game was flexed, when in fact it was not. It's common to move a start time back to 4:00 this can happen any week. Flex refers to the Sunday night game. If you follow the first link after BBSD googles it for you. You would see flex rules and know. Only Sunday afternoon games are subject to being moved into the Sunday night window.
