Screw The Defense In Round One
1B4IDie replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do you remember Crabtree in that Texas Tech spread offense? He was unstoppable, absolutely dominate, that would take games over. With his holdout nonsense and slow start people may have forgotten how dominate Crabtree was in college. He was a beast. Very much like Blackmon. Just saying' Blackmon is good just not "6'4" 225, you cannot stop me, I will not let you even if you had a chance" Jeffery good. -
Everytime I say Weeden is going Top10 everyone says I'm crazy. I don't care if he is 28. If he were 22 he would be going Top10 no question. I still think the Fish take the plunge and he starts Week1. Weeden is no joke. Luck is no joke ugly but ~$30 Mil makes you a lot prettier.

Screw The Defense In Round One

I live in DC and went to RIT and I view Jeffrey over Blackmon. I think its because I'm objective. Blackmon = Crabtree in my eyes. Which if Crabtree were in the 2012 draft I wouldn't want the Bills to take him #10 overall. -

Jeffery is tinge better physically than Floyd. Which can mean the difference in catching that jump ball and not catching that jump ball. However the one probably positive for Floyd is that he is a Golden Domer, so he may have the brains to handle Chan's offense. Although I know nothing of Jeffery's intellect he could be a national merit scholar for all I know. It's just the GameCocks are not known for their high academic standards. On second though that DUI on campus of Notre Dame may knock down that intellect argument for Floyd. Plus putting a known DUI artist in Buffalo is a bad move, if you draft him in Buffalo you have to require him to use a car service whenever leaving for evening entertainment. -
Screw The Defense In Round One

That's what he looks like in college football. In the NFL Blackmon is not a physical over sized receiver. He is the same exact size as Michael Crabtree who was a dominate College WR in his day and didn't have the unstoppable #1 WR skillset for the NFL. CRABTREE AND BLACKMon are good and will be good in the NFL but I doubt they're headed to TO or Megatron's level. +1 - "a REAL lot" Furry walls don't bring me down, Furry walls please stay around, That would be a great move for the Bills. A guy they shouldn't take at #10, off the board at #2. I'm still not onboard with screwing the D in round 1 however I don't think Upshaw is a double digit sack master, so if Wanny is switching back to a 4-3 the pick has to be Coples, Undebateable in my mind. If this hybrid mess is here to stay and or Coples, Kirkpatrick, and Mike Adams are off the board. Its furry wall time! -
And with the 10th pick in the 2012 draft,
1B4IDie replied to rocwocka's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What specific "knocks" are you refering to? No one thinks Coples can play OLB. He can only play D-line. UPSHAW is a top.20 pick, hands down. MIKE Adams LOT from Ohio State could be there at 10 and can plug right in as a starter at LT for the next 12 years. -
What is your Buffalo Bills New Year's Resolution
1B4IDie replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I made a resolution in 2007 to never buy another piece of Bills memorabilia until the Bills finish a season with a winning record. At 5-2 it looked like that resolution was going to end. Looks like I'll be continuing that one for another year -
A Baltimore Perspective On Lee Evans !!
1B4IDie replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's try some obnoxious Bold, Italics, and Underlines. Does anyone think Lee Evans would have really helped the Bills in 2011? Does anyone really think that having Lee Evans would have helped us win a couple of games during that losing streak? Even the people that are strangely arguing. I think their argument is that "Lee Evans is not a bad WR;" but I'm not really sure as they're all over the place. They don't appear to be saying the Bills' offense would have been better with Lee Evans on the field. Therefore anyway you look at it, the Bills improved by losing the dead weight and gaining a draft pick some where in the 120s most likely, Which looks like this from the 2011 draft: 4 120 Philadelphia Eagles Alex Henery K Nebraska 4 121 Jacksonville Jaguars Chris Prosinski S Wyoming 4 122 Buffalo Bills Chris Hairston OT Clemson 4 123 Baltimore Ravens Tandon Doss WR Indiana 4 124 Cleveland Browns Owen Marecic FB Stanford 4 125 Oakland Raiders Taiwan Jones RB Eastern Washington 4 126 New York Jets Bilal Powell RB Louisville 4 127 Houston Texans Rashad Carmichael CB Virginia Tech 4 128 Pittsburgh Steelers Cortez Allen CB The Citadel 4 129 Denver Broncos Julius Thomas TE Portland State I'd take almost any of those players on the Bills Roster, especially Henery, Harriston, Jones, Carmichael or Thomas. All of them would contribute more than Lee Evan's special decoy skills. -
I live in DC, have FIOS, but I signed up with NHL.com's Gamecenter instead of Center Ice. You can watch GameCenter from any computer, so if you're traveling you can still get the games. It costs about the same as the NHL Center Ice through FIOS or any cable provider. If you have a computer with HDMI out you can hook it up to your big screen TV and still watch it through the home entertainment system. There is even an App on the Playstation that lets you watch the gamecenter games through the Playstation. (The app is much better this season, last year the 1.0 version sucked donkey balls.) I highly, highly recommend going this route. http://www.nhl.com/ice/gclanding.htm?intcmpid=nhl.com-gccompare-scr-sbnav

A Baltimore Perspective On Lee Evans !!
1B4IDie replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FYI Lynch didn't do jack for the SeaGulls until the BeastMode Earthquake. Evans still has maybe 4 more games to play this season. I wouldn't say that the story is over on Evans production with the Ravens. HOWEVER Lee Evans has no place on the Bills. The Bills "won" the trade even if Evans had 2,000 yards and 30TDs in 2011. He is a career 850 yard, 6 TD a year receiver that can really only run 1 route, the deep go. The Bills' offense is not built for the Home Run pass, you can blame this on Fitz or Chan, who cares. It is a fact. We got 900+ yards and 4 TDs out of Brad Smith\Donald Jones\Roosevelt\CJ Spiller\Ruvell Martin. They all played the "#2" role for a few games Plus Stevie Is still on track for 1,000 yards 6 TDs, plus David Nelson has 600+ yards and 5 TDs. So the main arguments for the (silly) people that wanted to keep Evans, was that 1.) He was double teamed on every play (not very likely) which opened up the field for Stevie and 2.) Lee Evans' loss would mean the death of production for the Buffalo Bills passing game The main point that everyone should be concerned with is that IT IS AN OPEN AND SHUT CASE THAT THE LOSS OF LEE EVANS HAD NO ILL EFFECT TO THE BILLS' PASSING GAME. Who cares about the Ravens? I actually believe that Evans hurt the Bills more than he helped in the Chan\Fitz offense, and still believe this to be true. No one can really argue that Evans loss was felt on this offense. Feel free to make that argument but it is a pretty flimsy argument that's shows more about the poster than Lee Evan's usefulness in Buffalo. -
"Wilson Kool-Aid" ???? I think that spoiled in 1970. Who has ever drunk, drinked, or drank Wilson Kook aid?

1. KELLEN MOORE is 6'1" when standing in 2 inch heels. 2. KELLEN MOORE has almost nothing in common with Brady. Like nothing at all besides they both played the same position in college. That's about it. 3. KELLEN MOORE might be a 7th round pick, if someone really thinks they want to give the guy a chance to compete for their backup. 4. We had a sub 6' QB that was a million times better than Moore and we wouldn't let him start. TEN Years later why would you start a sub 6' QB? KELLEN MOORE does not need to waste a roster spot on the Buffalo Bills.

Whaley was always the heir apparent. It was a bit of a suprise we pulled Whaley from pitts. Whaley was considered a top flight NFL exec on the rise. So maybe Nix' naps are getting too long and he is ready to go fishin full time. I don't think anyone would mind if Whaley took over. If he influenced the 2011 draft then that's a clear indication he can pick talent. If he helped recruit Barnett then that's even better.

Current Roster better for a 4-3 or 3-4?

Seriously. Is it too much to ask to have a D-Co that was a good D-Co in the past? -

You can't take Coples unless you're going back to a base 4-3. I don't think anyone projects Coples as a 3-4 OLB. -

Let's say you go out for dinner and you order a Lobster. And then they bring you a bunch of California Rolls and sushi mushed up into the shape of a Lobster. When you ask the waiter, "what is this?" The waiter responds, "It's a Lobster" You respond "It is not a Lobster, it is sushi in the shape of a Lobster. Sushi is good, but I didn't order Sushi. Who decided to put this seafood in the shape of a Lobster? They should be fired!" Did George Edwards decide to put the defense in a 3-4? Did Gailey? Did Nix? Who ever made the crap made that piss poor decision should have their decision making powers revoked. If it is Edwards then yes he is to blame. -
Gotta love this guy's name as a Buffalo Bill
1B4IDie replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Um, How are the Bills drafting 13? They'd have to beat the Tebows or the Bradys for that to happen. Doesn't seem likely. So Upshaw would be available. It would be great to have Mercilus and Marcelleus. -
Seriously! The question should be do you think Dareus had an excellent rookie year or an amazing rookie year. He played out of this world, and was moved all over the D-Line. It's hard for a D-Lineman in a 3-4 to get gaudy stats but 5.5 sacks is pretty gaudy for his position. He is double and triple teamed on almost ever down and still makes play consistently.

The talk in Jax is they already are over Gain Blabbert. He is gun shy and doesn't look down the field. No one believes he can make it in the NFL. With a new regime coming in it is likely that they draft "their guy" in Jax then try to fix the last guy's guy. I like that Coples pick if we go back to a base 4-3. Only thing is I don't see Moats able to seriously play DE. What about Dwan Edwards? I also think Barnett and Shepp are both MLB. I think the ghost of Merriman could line up as situational pass rushed at DE though. DE Kelsay/ Edwards DT Dareus/ Carrington DT Williams/ Heard DE Coples/ Merriman? SLB Davis / Moats? MLB Barnett / Sheppard WLB Morrison / Batten? That 4-3 configure has a nice d-line. KELSAY actually looks good with his hand on the ground. But a mess at LB. But its a mess at LB in 3-4 so I guess you're not really losing anything. -

I like Alshon Jeffery a lot, (I actually liked Gurley and was surprised he went UDFA. I really think he'll be on the other end of Aaron Rodgers TDs when Driver retires. Gurley just turned down a roster offer from the ViQueens) I just don't see him going #8 overall. Yeah Weeden was an exaggeration but, if we're talking pure BPA I'd put Jeffery in the Top 30 not Top 10. I'd put Weeden in the top 25. -
Emerging Sub Plot in Draft could effect Bills ...

Joe_the_6_pack, You never cease to amaze. What the Hell are you talking about? You are arguing that NFL players, would rather wait in order to receive payment, because interest rates are low? Really? How Silly is that? Listen you can try your dim witted and or straw arguments with some random troll but if you're going to come to play with the big boys you need to make sense. It's really simple. Sam Bradford is due $1.205 million in 2012, $2.005 million in 2013, $2.805 million in 2014 and $3.605 million in 2015 in base salary, then about ~$4 mil per season in basic playing time bench marks, 35% of snaps, etc. Then another. $2 Mil a year in Escalators like #of TDs and passer rating. So in 2012 he will get a paycheck for about $7.5 Mil. He can renegotiate and get about a ~$15-$20 mil signing bonus in 2012 then still make ~$3 Mil total salary, plus add years to the contract. Would you rather have $18-$23 mil in the bank in 2012 or $7.5 Mil in the bank? It is a no brainer for Bradford and by adding years it can reduce the cap hit for the team that takes him. I'll let you look into how the Salary Cap is calculated since you clearly are confused about how NFL contracts are negotiated. -

I don't believe Alshon Jeferey is anywhere near BPA in that scenario. I'd say Dre Kirkpatrick Courtney Upshaw Mike Adams Are all BPA over Alshon I mean I'd even say Brandon Weeden is BPA over Jeferey. I think Jeferey will be heading to a playoff team not a Top10 pick. -

You're making the assumptions, I never said a lot less money. You made that up. I said upfront money. Which is to say money in the bank, not money in unguaranteed NFL contract. Which is 100% preferable, 100% of the time. -
You're allowed to have your opinion but it is a typical "1billsfan" opinion. Everyone else is allowed to judge the value of your opinion by what you post. You can just start all your posts, "From someone that thinks Spiller is a better RB than Freddy Jackson, . . ." Then everyone will know just to keep moving on.
