  1. Lets put it perspective LaGarrette Blount was clearly clearly a Top 50 TALENT, Like there was little doubt about him as far as the NFL draft was concerned. He went Undrafted for something that didn't hurt his team on the field. I'm not condoning sucker punching a trash talker after he turns his back, but the game was over the Ducks already lost. Burfict is a head case that finally got benched in their bowl game, He probably would have been benched on most other teams because he cost his teams wins by being on the field. I'm telling you most of the teams in the NFL especially the Buffalo Bills are not going to look at him at all. (period) It would take a team like the Raiders to draft him. The Raiders don't pick until 5th so maybe Burfict is there for them. I wouldn't be surprised is he has a sick combine and someone takes a chance on him. I also wouldn't be surprised if he goes Undrafted. I will tell you with 100% accuracy he will not be a Buffalo Bill in 2012.
  2. If its Brock or Tannehill in the 2nd. I'm going Tannehill hands down. A QB like Brock is going to come down to the mental capacity and coaching interviews. So anything can happen on draft day he could be a 2nd rounder or 7th rounder. I'll be following him though. Physically he is like the damn ideal physical specimen, However that doesn't mean everything.
  3. Yeah he was cut by the Chargers, and the Cowgirls gave him a 1 year min contract to give him a spin. But here is some confirmation: http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4689280/laurent-robinson-one-of-nfls-most-underrated
  4. In 2010 I thought he was going to link up with Bradford, but that never happened. I'm in a 30 man fantasy football roster, (no IDPs) so the UDFAs are pretty deep. I had him on my watch list for the last few years. In other news I finally cashed in this year in Fantasy Football. My WRs were struggling and Jocoby Jones wasn't doing jack with AJ80 out of the lineup so I took a flyer on him. I wouldn't be surprised if they find away to keep Robinson, as he became more of Romo's GoTo WR down the stretch more than Austin or Bryant. He really wasn't getting full time PT until week 8 and he had all of those 11 TDs in the second half of the season. You can say with Witten, Austin, Bryant defenses had to let someone go, so Robinson was the beneficiary of that stacked roster and you can stick anyone in there at WR#3 and they'd be open but I think Robinson has talent that would allow him to be a good "WR#2." So Yeah, I think he would be a nice addition if Stevie were signed. If Stevie isn't signed than its a typical sidestep or backward step by the Bills. He might take the low ball offer they gave Stevie, so yeah you saved $2M!!! Win Buffalo Bills FO! Great way to run your team; lose your in house developed talent that knows your system and pickup some journeymen talent at a good price. Who cares if anyone knows how he'll do. He'll play for less than Stevie so its a win.
  5. It wasn't a squib kick. RAYNER just missed the ball.
  6. I'd argue that it does matter, teams adjust their package to attack the blind side. Peters didn't see the same pressure package as other LTs. Not to mention you don't want to blitz Vick and have him flush the pocket then hurt you with his feet. You want to keep Vick contained in the pocket. So yes it does matter. That being said. Yeah he is a good LT and a smart organization signs a good LT. LT is a great area to invest dollars, not let a good LT walk. The Bills are not a good organization.
  7. You forgot that Cam Newton broke the all time rookie record for passing. So the "run first" argument was wrong pre draft and is wrong post draft.
  8. True true. Does a First rounder for Rob "Franchise Killer" Johnson help with the measuring stick?
  9. I'm not saying what's going to happen on Draft day, Although I don't think he'll be a first rounder. Especially after singlehandedly losing the Stanford game. I'm saying I would not take him in 5th - 6th or sign him as a priority UDFA. The Bills will not draft him, it is not even worth wasting the brain power. He is a horrible character guy and gets more credit than he deserves for his impact on games. And yes we need more OLB, we are set on ILB.
  10. Look at what Carson Palmer fetched in a trade. So three 1st + some 2nds and 3rds for Luck, even if he is only an "above average NFL Quarterback," isn't exactly too much or over priced when comparing.
  11. I think you bit off too much to chew in your responses because clearly didn't read and understand my response. I'm not saying the Bills should do anything. I'm saying the Redskins & Patroits moved down multiple times in 2011, and The Browns moved down as well. Trading up and trading down does happen in the NFL. Where it seems that you're saying it doesn't happen. I have no idea what you mean by comparing Troup to Dareus and what that has to do with me saying that the Top 20 is for physical freaks of nature that you can't find later in the draft like Marcell Dareus that can 360 dunk a ball at 300+ pounds.
  12. John Clayton is reporting that the Bills will sign SJ13; Which most assuredly means SJ won't sign. http://wgr550.com/pages/11917826.php?contentType=4&contentId=9709763
  13. +1 Not even a priority UDFA. People complain about SJ13's TD celebrations then they say they want Burfict in the same breath and they don't see the irony.
  14. I that that advice is especially true for RB, LB, DBs, D-Linemen, Interior G\C. I don't think that advise rings the same for QBs, and LOT and starting to become true for WRs. Its hard to hurt their draft status much by going back. (FYI Locker was not the consensus #1 overall pick in 2010 that is a myth he probably got drafted the same or higher by staying in a year) Even if he "dropped" he didn't drop that much. A smart player doesn't come out for their first contract but wants to put themselves in the best position for the second contract. If staying in a year helps perform better in the NFL therefore get that second big money contract than they made a good mode. It's better to be a younger RB going into your second contract so a RB that gets a top grade they should bolt for the NFL. Where getting more reps as a starter at QB is most likely only going to help, so staying back for a year is usually a smarter long term move. (Plus being the starting QB as a senior with no class load on a big time College Program is probably the sweetest year of anyone's in the history of humanity's life; Better than kings of kingdoms. You can't ever replicate that. It doesn't matter how much money you have.)
  15. Which is also why Foles, Weeden & Tannenhill all might go 1st round. With rookie pay scale reset you can afford to draft them in the first and let them sit for the beginning of the year. Ponder may not have been 1st rounders in 2010 but in 2011 in economically made more sense.
  16. Get over Gronk and Hernandez. It ain't happening in Buffalo, Not to mention we could have drafted Gronk or Henandez. If Chan wanted to run a two TE set, we would run a two TE set. Lee Smith was a receiving threat at Marshall. He can catch the ball. Yeah he ain't Gronk or Hernandez but there is nothing stopping us from running those players. You can also run Nelson and Chandler in those plays if you like. Drafting a TE that high with Chandler on the roster is stupid imo. The team has major needs. It's not like the kid from Clemson is some kind of world beater TE. It would be a waste of an opportunity imo. Tannenhill or the TE fro Clemson, its a no brainer imo.
  17. That would be a horrible horrible horrible draft. That is the bar for the nightmare worst draft I've seen so far. Mercilus has a great name but I'm scared of tweeners in Top10. He only makes sense if we stick with this 3-4 Hybrid mess, and I'm guessing Wannstache is going to switch back to a 4-3 full time. Can he he be a full time 4-3 end in the NFL, possibly. but I don't like big question marks with a Top10 like that. It is 2012. Not 2010. We found a TE. Why would we waste a Top 42 pick on another one? Chase Thomas is an ILB in the NFL. We need OLBs. In that draft Martin, Mike Adams, or Floyd would be better firsts. Tannenhill second (I doubt he drops this far) He is more likely a Top 15 pick a la Ponder. That is even more a nightmare situation Because Jeffrey, Dre Kirkpatrick and Quinton Coples all went in the Top 10 (Good news this probably won't happen) I guess we're going to need some Free Agent Defense help.
  18. Call Newton a "Run First" QB or 1 Read and run QB is not true. He is a "pass first" QB and has a very accurate arm. He broke Peyton Mannings record for most passing yards by a rookie! He just happens to be the Panthers Red zone back right now. That doesn't mean he is "run first." But to say he is "more accurate" would lead people to think Newton is not accurate. Newton is an extremely accurate QB, however RGIII's stats are insanely accurate. So yes he is "more accurate" but Newton is still extremely accurate. I still think RGIII's baseball pitch of a throwing motion can cause problems in the NFL. I don't think he is as plug and play as Newton was\is; I think RGIII needs some time before he starts in the NFL. Plus he just seems so slight build, like Stafford or Vick he might night not make it through 16 games + playoffs very often. He needs to do about 10,000 squats in my opinion. For the record I was High on Newtonn 2011, I am luke warm on RGIII in 2012, especially at #2 overall.
  19. RGIII has not declared. He has an announcement scheduled for the 11th or 12th. He has said on his Facebook page that he has not decided yet.
  20. He already got away. He is a free agent. You sign players the offseason before they become free agents.
  21. I'm thinking San Francisco signs him. His home town. They need a WR. Crabtree and Johnson would be a nice pairing, with Ginn (If he's not a free agent) stretching the D plus Vernon Davis.
  22. Exactly extending Levitre & Wood is the priority this off season. You extend players you want to keep the season before they become free agents. It's called GM101
  23. That's a poor assumption. The facts are he wants 7.5 Mil a season. Which would be right around #15-20 WR money. And yes he likes to celebrate but he also works hard in practice and in the film room. So, if he knocks off the penalized celebrations and just comes up with a nice quick signature celebration that won't get penalized; like the Gronk Power Spike, Cam "Superman", Rodgers "Championship Belt" etc etc etc; Voila no more "selfishness."
  24. To quote myself: His celebrations won't seem so bad when your WR core is Donald "Never Will Be" Jones, Marcus "Never Was" Easley, Derek "I'm not Mario" Haggan, and David "I'm now the best WR?" Nelson
