  1. The loss to the Jags was disappointing but the team lost its passion. It played too many games and it was clear that they didn't have the fire anymore. It was the end of an era. The Music City Forward Lateral was by far more disappointing, and I clearly remember looking at the AFC field in the moments before the kickoff and thinking, there is a real shot to make it to the Super Bowl (And lose to the Rams' greatest show on turf) Not to mention that it was clearly a forward lateral, and the Bills should not have lost the game. One player is in front of the yard maker, one player is behind and you can give me whatever garbage you want about the angle of the throw and where his hands were when he made the catch. It looks like a forward lateral in real time, slow motion and any angle you want to bring up. Music City Forward Lateral is the most disappointing because it could have been the start of new era of relevance and winning. It took almost a decade to crawl out of the mess of the Forward Lateral and Ron (spit) Johnson. However the point is still relevant that OC and HC combo have proven to be strong and Gilbride owns two more super bowl rings than the Bills franchise owns.
  2. Which are better odds Jona Rechnitz has a gambling problem, or Rechnitz is a time traveler from the future?
  3. "Defense wins Championships" Doesn't preclude you from having the #1 Offense in the League. It doesn't mean that your offense is not capable . It means that you have a really good defense. Which it is much easier to argue that the NYG Super Bowl win proves that "Defense does in fact win Championships" than "having a good offense and a good defense" wins championships.
  4. 4 beers by my count. 4 Miller Lights over 4 hours and you're probably good to Drive. (Wide right) (Bruce's safety against Hostetler) (Pats were down 21-0 in the last game of the season against the Bills) (wide right)
  5. I've never heard "balanced team" refer to a team with a good defense and a good offense. The term balanced offense is used. Which the Giants are not, they were one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL. Saying this super bowl proves that balanced teams win super bowls makes no sense. To rephrase you're saying a team with a good offense and a good defense wins the Super Bowl. When did anyone say that an "unbalanced" team would beat a "balanced" team?
  6. Can't wait for Pre-Season. What a lame super bowl.
  7. Chug beer whenever they show Archie Manning.
  8. Actually JStanger is in the real world. You're living in a dream world. Teams that want to reward their 7th round picks, that only worked hard and played hard, as well as performed on the field sign those players the season before they become free agent 100% of the time they want to keep them, or factor them into their long term plans. Not to mention this team can demonstrate to the players and the league that the Bills franchise is not a farm team, that you can in fact get paid in Buffalo. There is 0.00% chance that a contract is signed before Stevie becomes a free agent. It makes no sense anymore for Stevie to sign. Why would you not test the market? You only get to be under 30 and a free agent in demand maybe once in the NFL. You should take advantage of it.
  9. It's not really fair to say he is injury prone. When he broke his leg that was a freak accident and anyone standing there would have had his leg broken. The ACL is a bit worrisome. However like what was pointed out earlier ACL is not a big deal anymore. Specially for an Interior linemen. Acheilles are still big deals. They are an almost 2 year injury but people can come back from them now and not everyone comes back from them. You don't let Wood walk. (Period)
  10. Wait I thought it was Gucci Onaroll.
  11. I was not overly happy 4 years ago. It was very good but not the best. Had a better meal at 677 prime in Albany. http://blogs.artvoice.com/avdaily/2010/12/07/e-b-greens-steakhouse-ranked-2-on-the-list-of-americas-top-ten-steakhouses/ I liked 677 Prime too.
  12. N9NE Steakhouse in Vegas is #1 in the country imo. Ray's the Steak in VA is behind that. and Like I said 31 Club in Buffalo blew my mind. I generally stopped getting the Porterhouse as I could see the years dropping off the end of my life after every business trip. So I go with a NYStrip or Filet, just not both (porterhouse). I get to live a few days longer. The Delmonico at 31 Club, try it. Yes EB Greens is good don't get me wrong. But #2 in the country, might be a stretch.
  13. That is a little bit of an exaggeration. Here is the article that I believe you're misquoting http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article719763.ece
  14. 31 Club Shango Left Bank Tempo Bachus Gabriel's Gate Encore Dude you're really missing out I live in DC andI travel for a living, going from steak house to steak house. I had one of the best Delmonico steaks at 31 club in my life. Better than all the national steak house chains. Morton's Shula's Ruth Chris' Seriously. That doesn't even get into all the local well known favorites Jim's, LaNova, Bob& John's, Fat Bob's etc etc I was there on Business and brought some colleagues and customers to EB Greens and the DC people still talk about to this day (Although I think it is overrated) You definitely need to take back the restaurants piece.
  15. I hope they sign a Free Agent TE by the name of Chandler Scott Chandler 6'7" 263
  16. What? Are you at a pickup draft pick game tonight?
  17. Indeblu? How about Hotel Indigo. Adams Mark was supposed to be remodled to Crowne Plaza standards!?!?!? Perhaps Tom Brady is used to hotels that have heated toilet seat and bidet. I don't know of any hotels is WNY that have them. Yeah Hotel Indigo thats it. That one wasn't too bad. Yeah think about from a Free Agent perspective by far the worst hotel you stay in during your 8 road games would be Buffalo's. Someone needs to build a JW Marriott in Buffalo so we can get some Free Agents.
  18. Thats kinda harsh. The Restaurants don't suck. I always thought it was Toronto Cleveland Buffalo Pittsburgh Have you ever been to Pittsburgh? It sucks and the people are dickheads. Then you have the CMU people that think their geniuses but they all wish they got into MIT.
  19. Dude, I hate Brady but its hard to argue with him there. Hotels in Buffalo suck. Adam's Mark, and the EB Greens hotel and that Marriott, aren't that good. I've stayed at all of them and I travel for a living. The best one in the Buffalo area was the Indeblu hotel out near UB, but I think that one is shut down now. Even the Mansion on Delaware is a little run down. I've been to better hotels in Albuquerque NM and MOntgomery, Al then Buffalo. So Brady is a douchebag more for bringing this up, then anything else. I mean what a dick he had to bring up an actual fact he couldn't have said something that isn't true. I just stayed there last month and its a little run down. They need a refresh. Plus the whole Gatriots team could never fit there. Although the ambiance is nice. The wife was into it.
  20. I agree with most of this but there are two factors to consider. 1.) Look at the past 5 years of draft history. Buffalo was never really in a position to draft an elite LT prospect. Yes many of them may not have been studs but Buffalo was never in the running. This year it is shapping up to maybe have Martin or Adams available when the Bills pick. Then you have Rieff which I'm not as bully on as a LT. But the Bills will need to vet that out. 2.) Look at the WR or DE available when the Bills pick. Coples* has work ethic questions. Then Ingram? Ingram would have been a 3rd rounder like Justin Houston the 2011 drafrt. Its just not a strong draft class at DE. If Floyd or Jeffrey are there at 10 then that is a real opportunity. But if you're looking at BPA its hard to argue that Martin and Adams aren't pure head and shoulders BPA over any of the defensive prospects available at 10. Like hands down no objection Martin is a better prospect than Upshaw, Coples or Ingram. In summary I want the Bills to get better on defense I also want them to get better in general and make the most of the #10 overall pick. LT is likely the real undisputible pure BPA especially if the draft plays out like Astro posted. Grab a franchise LT if you get the chance. That gives the Bills 3 Top 40 picks on your O-line plus Reihnert and Urbik so the O-line sucks talk can officially be killed. * If Coples doesn't really have work ethic issues and the Bills do their due diligence and there is nothing to worry about and if the Bills lose out in Free Agency for DE pass rusher then Coples jumps to #1 with a bullet. Although from a fan perspective it'll be hard to make this determination unless you go interview all his coaches.
  21. Good observation when it comes to drafting talent I'm all about tangibles.
  22. I'm not a big makeup guy, long story short, I met Katy Perry at a Meet N' Greet with a customer and don't worry about the pictures you see on-line she stays on the list. I like Branch A LOT! He plays inside and outside Defense Line. Last year with Bowers discussion. IMO most of those highlights were Branch highlights. The Guy is a Baller. I don't think he is a pure pass rushing RDE but he could be a nice long term Kelsay replacement/upgrade and can be shifted around inside and outside in different packages. As you would want Dareus inside on most plays but have the flexibility to put him on the outside on some lays. You can see him and Branch stunting or shifting on certain plays. That idea just puts a smile on my face. Although it still doesn't solve the OLB problem. However in a 4-3 it automatically becomes less of a problem. I would not mind Branch as the second round pick one bit.
  23. Katy Perry Sofia Vergara Kate Upton Nicki Minaj Scarlett Johansson Halle Berry (Still makes the List) Zooey Deschanel for GFE
  24. He also telegraphed a WR In this draft scenario Floyd and Still pushed down Martin and Reiff. it would have to be one of the tackles. COPLES work ethic question marks could scare away Nix &Gailey I expect them to do their due diligence. If they have a good feeling he could be the pick too. My 5 would be Martin Reiff Coples Jeffrey Brown
