  1. I like the Photoshop job. When Pettine and Byrd left, I thought no big deal. When they hired Schwartz I believe the majority of us thought, 1 and done until he gets a HC interview. So if Schwartz left after this year I think it would just meet expectations for most. As far as the defense performance on the field, I would prefer if Schwartz stays but I'm not going to sweat it too much. The team is majorly talented, plus they get Kiko back. Kiko and Brown behind Kyle, Dareus, and Mario is all the core of a killer difference. Plus Aaron Williams has turned into the on the field general of the secondary. You don't need a D-Co with that crew they can call the plays themselves. The D-Co's job is just to not screw it up. Scwartz also allows Pegula a shorter ramp to tear down the FO if he wants to bring in a Czar and re organize. You can **** can Schwartz after two years as HC and it wouldn't be that big of a deal. If you bring a new guy, then restructure then **** can the new guy after a season or two, the Bills organization looks like crap. The problem now, is if you interview the entire cast of Ben Hur (which is happening now) then you choose Schwartz it looks like no one wanted the job and Schwartz was the last man standing.
  2. Agreed, with a caveat. He obviously needs to have a plan at O-Co in order to make the offer. Re-no more money for Scwartz withthe same amount of years. Make Donnie Henderson or Pepper Johnson D-Co. The problem is finding a new OC. Basically, the candidate you choose must have the best plan at QB/O-Co. I'm not worried about the Defense, with that Defensive line. Any competent D-Co can make that defense work. The Front 7 is a strength and the Back 4 are quality. Worst case if Schwartz did leave any D-Co would job at the opportunity to be the D-Co with that roster. It would take a dinosaur from 80s to screw that roster up (WanStache I'm looking at you.)
  3. I think Fred functions as assistant Head Coach now. Seems totally possible he pursues a coaching position after he retires. **** if he could have just taught CJ Spiller to fall forward for 3 yards after contact like he does he could have already earned a spot.
  4. Don't ask Tamp Bob. Please Don't.
  5. I'd feel great. Like a world class athlete. If there were drugs to take to make you feel like Sammy feels like, it'd be the #1 drug on the planet.
  6. A true Buffalo Legend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQetBH0lzRQ If you didn't have fun at a Lance Diamond show you should go to the Doctor because you may be dead.
  7. Disagree. "The Kid" looked like he will be out of the NFL in 3 years. Matt Cassel > Ryan Mallet > Crappolo That look on Brady's face is just his face, He is a freaking Douche Bag with a resting B word face.
  8. Is there a well traveled road for a migration? If IPB is dying then there may be a community to help with the migration process.
  9. Garraopola looked like crap against the Bills. His scrambles were the only significant plays he made. Patriots have a ruthless player personnel mentality and will cut or trade anyone that slips so I won't be shocked when they ditch Brady. But they don't have a QB ready to go that is chomping at the bit so I doubt they dump Brady with no viable plan at QB. They are ruthless not dumb.
  10. year end or preseason when they trying out everyone at every position on the line?
  11. The only people that want to move Glenn to guard are Internet posters. not gonna happen. Looks like Frank Reich can't devop O-Lineman!!!
  12. Very Plausible. but you will be told how idiotic it is to compare what Pegula does as owner of the Sabres to what Pegula does as owner of the Bills. There is a commandment on this board and you just broke it. Thou shalt not compare Sabres FO to Bills FO.
  13. I find it funny that people engage that obvious Troll. She is straight ignore list material.
  14. No one is worried about Los Pegulas in the interview. People are worried that the reporting structure 1.) Will scare away quality candidates 2.) Show that Whaley's days are numbered Why would the HC report to the Owner if the GM is going to be around awhile? No coach wants to be the incumbent HC under a new GM. New GMs tend to shut can existing coaches in short order and bring in their own guy. If the GM reports to Brandon and the HC reports to Pegula what happens on Day 2 when there is a personal decision that the HC doesn't like? The HC reporting to the owner doesn't have the mark of a stable front office. A guy like Adam Gase would be smart enough to stay away from that mess. Especially with a sweet guy like Manning's "OC". (Not that U want Gase, but a team with a screwy FO doesn't give quality candidates warm and fuzzies especially if they already have good gigs. That is the concern.
  15. Reporting directly to Ralph Wilson? I never heard that. Nice! Where'd you get that?
  16. Actually this is really really really bad. If I am a HC i'm a little worried by that reporting structure. It shows that Whaley may have have a boot up his ass already. Not good.
  17. The King of No Rings, AJ Smith, is currently consulting the most functional Franchise in the NFL, the Washington Deadskins.
  18. Can this thread get locked?
  19. Like I said, Marrone flipped the script on Pegula. Put there is no vast overhaul as many had hoped and dreamed. (For good reason because it would have been a huge mistake to fire everyone) "Lessened the President's role?" - that is a stretch. What did you think he was going to do, continue to let Brandon vote at the NFL owners meetings?
  20. Pegula - Bought Sabres - Kept Status Quo - Then cleaned house Pegula - Bought Bills - Kept Status Quo - Then will clean house if they fail. Yeah, no model, and it is crazy to make comparisons, so I am told.
  21. Marrone obviously flipped the script. Giving Whaley\Marrone 2015 to show and prove was clearly Pegula's plan. Marrone tried a power play and Pegula smacked him down. Now Whaley is still on the hook to show and prove and can go pick a coach to do it with. Again I've been told how completely ridiculous it is to make the comparisons to the Sabres. (Doesn't mean I agree at all with the consensus)
  22. I think Pegula is correct in empowering Whaley to find the coach. This is called If successful "empowering your team and giving them the tools to succedd" and if it doesn't work then you "gave Whaley enough rope to hang himself" If the report is correct I like the show of support by Pegula to Whaley Pegula: "Listen Whaley, you're the man now, go find me a coach and win a Super Bowl" This gives Pegula atleast a year or two stay on course before tearing down the organization from scratch. Although I have been told how stupid I am for drawing any comparisons, it appears Pegula will be following his Sabres game plan. Ride it out before you tear it down. I'm sure whoever Whaley will bring it, will know that the organization is in a show and prove mode and 2015 is about getting to the playoffs - No Patience - No "rebuild" - Win NOw. Not every coach will want that kind of pressure but whoever comes on board will know they're tied to Whaley's fate not Pegula's.
  23. He is surrounded by athletes, trainers, and treadmills, if your arse can't find the motivation to get on one of the aforementioned treadmills in that environment and you are that unhappy then just end it now, well he kind of killed his career, so maybe you're on to something.
  24. Bills request to interview Adam Gase: http://espn.go.com/b...iew-adam-gase I would rather have the real OC of the Broncos, Peyton Manning. Day 1 of Practice: "1001 to say Omaha before the snap." Day 2 of Practice: "Why can't you be more like Peyton Manning?" Day 3 of Practice: "Why did I leave the Broncos again"
