Tank cut - Carder to Cleveland Browns
1B4IDie replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is correct This is correct if he were Larry Black from University of Northern Alabama no one would care but he is Tank Carder from TCU. In great white LB hope news Why aren't people more pissed about taking Mike Jasper over Mark Herzlich. Mark Herzlich actually played well and had NFL size and speed pre cancer. Plus the whole Recovery angle and feel good story with Roswell in Buffalo. It was such a no brainer. I wanted that pick. He would look really good over our current mess at MLB. -
Vontaze Burfict makes the Bengals
1B4IDie replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you mean on the field arguing during a game? He sucked when he played, he made huge mistakes when he played, didn't take coaching, sucked at the combine. But he has a cool name and was a high ranking college recruit so lets talk about him. He did have some nice plays in pre-season for Bungals. -
If we're worried about facts here. The temp refs have no idea about defensive holding or illigal contact downfield. The don't call PI either. They caLl the game like its 1985. The DBs are getting away with raping the WRs our Gilmore has gotten away with some unsolicited advances on some unwilling WRs. In today's NFL You cannot touch a receiver 5 yards down the field until the ball arrives. The replacement refs don't seem to be aware of this concept.

Vontaze Burfict makes the Bengals

Vontaze DID NOT HAVE CHARACTER ISSUES. He had on the field issues. Like multiple stupid personal fouls that cost his team Ws. Off the field wasn't the issue with Burfict. On the field was the issue and why all 32 teams didn't want to touch him on draft day. -
Its also nice when you have Darren Macfadden, Peyton Hillis, and Felix Jones, and Tashard Choice in your backfield. Wilcat looks real good then Well I guess we have Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller and Tashard Choice . . .

Last night the announcers think Bradham is a lock
1B4IDie replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah he made some stud type of plays in scrub time at LB. Also made some nice ST plays. He has generally been considered as a bright spot along with Ron Brooks during the Bills' poor Pre-Season. -
The "Wildcat" is more sports Hype than reality. We ran a handful of "Wildcat" plays last year. I only remember 1 "Wildcat" play this pre-season. I tend to agree with Broadway Joe on this one.

Did Buffalo strike gold at pick 41 with Cordy Glenn?
1B4IDie replied to Damond Talbot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the most interesting aspect is that Jonathan Martin from Stanford was ranked higher than Glenn by many "experts" both had first round grades. Both had questions as to their ability to play LT. The bills could have had either. In Maybin vs Orakpo or any other draft debacles in the past it likes like the Bills choose properly in this decision. Glenn has looked competent in the preseason where Jonathan Martin is looking poor. This is coming from a Fish fan site : - Jonathan Martin’s adjustment to the NFL’s Speed. Jonathan Martin, Miami’s second round pick, has been a huge disappointment this preseason. Martin was looked at as the savior to Miami’s long search for a stud right tackle on the offensive line. So far this preseason Martin has looked nervous and slow against every pass rusher he has faced – not to mention the kid looks lost on many occasions when facing blitzes. Martin will get a chance to fine tune his game against a Dallas team enriched with pass rushers. Cross your fingers and hope that Martin finally calms down and plays like the right tackle this Miami Dolphins team needs. -
I'd say people have been bending over to service Easley on this board see he was drafted. Everyone fell in love with the picture of him catching the ball in a blue uniform in a snow storm at Uconn and imagined him doing the same in The Ralph. WRs that have potential are a dime a dozen. WRs that contribute are few and far between. If he makes to the practice squad I'll be pleased.
-
I thought Mike Jasper was this year's Mike Jasper. Mike Jasper was already cut. Easley is likely to get cut in a few hours.
-
A 1 significant year walk-on at UConn that was on IR for two years is really gonna be at the top of the list. I'm not too worried about Easely clearing Waivers. There are more "potential" WRs in this league than anything else.

GILMORE is definitely on the watch list. it wouldn't be completely outlandish. IF TEAMS test him and he gets ints he will be in the running.

This prediction better not happen. Its says 11-5 and we miss the playoffs. I think the 4-5 start is very likely. BtW doug Martin will be O-ROY

Seattle's Reaction to the Loss of TJack
1B4IDie replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the answer is yes. If the Bills drafted a QB with their first pick of the first round every single year from 2000 to 2010 they would be in a much better place than they are now. Both O-line and D-line are rebuilt. There is no excuse. Draft a Qb in rounds 1-3 next year have them duke it out with Fitz. Trade the 3rd place QB for a pick thus time next year. Its time to be relevant again. -
And the search for the Bills MLB begins

Mason Foster would have looked good as MLB (why can't I be in charge of just one draft) -
ESPN the Magazine has the Bills at 11-5 in 2012 . . .
1B4IDie replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It sums to 0. I fact checked a few teams. Every win for the Bills equals a loss for the other team. Interestingly enough the start for the Bills is 4-5 then they rip off 7 straight wins. I think this is actually very likely. Hold on Bills fans it may be a bumping start to the season. -

I'm not so sure about that. Because of the whole NFC thing. It is mathematically possible for this to occur, However I agree that is outlandish. They have San Diego at 12-4 and winning the division. Which is outlandish on its own, I highly doubt they have a winning record. -
and Missing the Playoffs to a 12-4 Broncos Wild Card team!!!! :wallbash: :wallbash: Good news is the winner of the AFC West is more likely to be 9-7 and second place in the AFC West has no wild card hopes; None the less that was pretty painful to read. No link because it is in ESPN the Magazine. I don't know if I could survive that happening.

The Problem is I watched the 2011 and 2012 class of QBs very closely as I expected a QB to be picked in 2011 by the Bills. Obviously I know Barkley, Jones, Wilson, Pachell, EJ Manuel, Geno Smith and Wilson but I don't know that second tier of QBs like Foles or Kirk Cousins.

I agree I don't believe the people that say those sentences understand the definition of the word. No one has successfully explained how statements like that are grammatically correct usage of the word Humbled. -

I'm HUMBLED by the fact that there is no human being in the history of humanity nor will there ever be a human in the future that is as perfect as I am because I am the greatest to have ever have lived and you should all count your self extremely lucky to witness my perfect greatness. It is humbling. -
Clayton: Jets have empty bucket at RT
1B4IDie replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was with my wife at Lowes when they drafted Maybin, she thought I was going to cry and was worried that I read an email that something bad happened to a family member. She took me to an ice cream shop to split a sundae with me to cheer me up. (I think she had designs on the sundae the whole time, but thats neither her nor there) How pathetic is that? Other Memorable draft moment, 2004 The Washington Redskins draft Sean Taylor, looking at the board all the teams were set at QB until the Bills picked. Steelers seemed set at QB with Tommy Maddox coming off 3500+ yard season and the Jests had Pennington. We were BBQing for the draft (Back when the draft started Saturday afternoon like it should!) and I was at my friends house that was a huge Steelers fan. I loved Big Ben coming out of college and was talking him up, like the Bills are going to take him . . .He is huge . . He has a big arm . . .He can play in the swirling winds of Rich Stadium .. .he is going to turn the franchise around. . . Already had visions of him wearing Red, white, and Buffalo Bills' Blue hoisting the Lombardi trophy. My Steelers fan friend, is like " I never head of this guy. Miami of Ohio? Shouldn't he have to pick one. Miami or Ohio ha hahah . ." Steelers pick comes "With the 1st pick of the 2004 NFL draft the Steelers take Ben Roethlisburger . . ." He still texts me after a big play or a Super Bowl win "Tell me about this Big Ben guy again . . ."
