  1. We do not have any on this team. That is a major problem. Kyle, Dareus, Mario are all quit lead by example types. Maybe Wilson might be the only semi-vocal guy. It is foot up ass time for these player. On paper this is a top 10 defense. In reality it may be historically the worst defense in NFL history for points given per game. This is not an exaggeration or hyperbole, it is an actual fact. Thats why drafting Mason Foster over Kelvin Sheppard would have made this team better. I was really high on Mason Foster that would be been such a clutch pick. This team defense needs a leader on the field, I do not see one. Certainly not Shepp with whom I believe they drafted to be the defensive QB but he hasn't earned any respect through his poor play.
  2. To be fair, every year is year 1 with this franchise; Year 3, tops.
  3. So how does this prove that Fitzpatrick is blame free for the loss? Specifically the horrible INT. Then geting stage fright with a minute left TOs and 50 yards to go for a game winning FG? Yes Gailey has done a lot with 7th rounders, UDFAs and cast offs on offense. Still Fitz gets a share of the blame for the loss. (Perriod) [/thread]
  4. I'm more than happy to do that. Firstly I'd like to see a list of the blow hard and obnixious comments by ROB Ryan.
  5. This was written in August.
  6. No. Serious. Can you enlighten us, please?
  7. Why in Gosh's name would you leave a cushy studio gig at ESPN and CBS to stand on the sidelines in teen degree weather in Buffalo. If I had their TV gigs you couldn't pay me enough to get back behind the clipboard. Especially Billick he was crap HC and got himself a ring.
  8. You happened to be wrong about #2. Every analysis of the draft is the success rate is 50% in round 1. Doesn't change by position. So a QB is not riskier than picking a CB. With the change in the Rookie Salary pool. You are no longer giving away the farm to a first round pick QB and married to them for the long haul. You can divest your self of them much easier. That is why the "second Tier QBs" are going so much earlier now. i.e. Ponder, Tannehill, Weeden etc. The team is better off taking a QB every other year in the 1st round until they get one that works out. Instead of alternating between CBs and RBs and watching them leave town in 4 years or less.
  9. That was Super Hard. 1.) I knew it was that other RB dude but I couldn't remember his name - I am awarding myself a 1/2 point - 4.) Steve Tasker - I knew he received a Pro Bowl MVP so I figured it was him since this was so hard and that is kind of unexpected 7.) 77 seconds - I was at that game - It was Pandemonium ! 11.) Mark Clayton - Knew it had to be division and the Pats and Jests sucked so hard I went with a Mark Brother because I figured Duper was done by then. 13.) Dean Cain - That was easy 14.) I guessed Don Beebe. I knew it was a special teamer But I thought it was going to be Dallas and another team. Lodish was in one of my posters as a teenager I would have never guessed that though. So 6 legit. 6.5 if you count my Don Smith Rational. That was super hard. I was struggling for 8. That is crazy hard.
  10. Can you name some realistic coaching options? We burned so many coaching trees and we could really own attract the far off limbs I'm not sure who would be looking at the Bills HC or D-Co position. I think an established D-Co that has missed out on HC positions in the past like Rob Ryan or a retread like Nolan is realistic. Gruden, Cowher, Bellick, and Mangini are not realistic imo. I would like to see Nolan in a suit with a Red White and Blue Tie getting our defense in order. The fact that the NFL makes the coaches model their ****ty clothing is ridiculous. Coaches should wear suits!!!
  11. This is a genius idea. Therefore it will never happen. However this is the ideal candidate. An experienced D-Co with a pedigree. Not to mention when Rex gets **** canned in the off-season he can be Rob's D-Co for a year and stick it to the Jersey Jests. A boy can dream . . . Can you please give specific examples of Rob Ryan being obnoxious and a blow hard?
  12. FreakPop's supposition "Fitz had a good stat line theorfore he does not get the blame for the loss" has been refuted many times in this thread.
  13. Child, I noticed you didn't say perfect again.
  14. Perfect does not describe Fitzy's performance in any way shape or form. He had a little over 200 yards passing. The ball traveled from his hand to the receiver maybe 30 of those 200 yards. If you think that is perfect, it may have been awhile since you've seen good QB play. You're welcome to believe Fitz played perfectly except for 1 pass. If you believe good for you. However in reality that isn't the case. Same goes for you, "excellent", "right on the money and crisp" Do not describe Fitz. Especially the "right on th money" description he has never been money before or after the Bills gave him money. So if you really believe that you're unfamiliar with excellent QB play and what accurate passing looks like. You're welcome to believe that but that is not reality.
  15. I don't see the relevance of 90% of the posts. With this post, it is a simple question. We know both will happen on Sunday. If you're a fan of the NFL and have been watching JJ Watt lately he has been pretty impressive in batting down passes. We have a QB that already has trouble with batted down passes against far less talented players. So for ***** and giggles what do you think will happen more often? Fitzpatrick getting his pass tipped by Watt or Fitzpatrick throwing interceptions. Its an interesting prop bet. The question in the post is meant to be different than question in the poll. We can discuss what we think will have a more disastrous effect for the Bills. 4 Tipped passes or 1 Interception for example.
  16. Te'O' is on a Von Miller trajectory. I don't think the Bills will have that luxury.
  17. Correct. Not that it matters as each person is an individual but if you had Carson Palmer, Matt Leinhert, MArk Sanchez and Matt Barkley all in a white T-shirt and Shorts throwing passes and you had to pick one. Matt Barkley would be 4th, you might even think he was the Ball boy. So not that means much but, I'm not really digging Barkley too much. Geno Smith and Tyler Wilson look like better prospects.
  18. The Bills are undefeated in games where Fitpatrick has zero interceptions.
  19. Have you watched the first 7 games? Have you watched any Texans games? What drugs are you on? I would like some.
  20. With Fitzy's sometimes goofy release I expect a few passes batted down on Sunday. There are 3 games where Fitzy hasn't thrown an interception (all Wins, what a coincidence) clearly this will not be one. What factor will be bigger in the Bills' upcoming loss. The Passes Tipped or the INTs?
  21. Dalton, Ponder, Weeden were all supposed to be available in the 2nd. Its time to "reach" for a QB you want and need.
  22. The franchise has never takena QB with their first pick of the first round. There has always been some excuse. With the new Rookie Salary Pool, drafting a QB in the first is no longer a life sentence. That's why you see the second tier QBs going very early i.e. Ponder, Tannenhill, Weeden.. . In 2013 the Bills must step up and take a chance on the most important Position in professional sports. I love Te'O (personally I think he won't go past #3 overall) but in the scenario you lay out you take Tyler Wilson and try to make the Bills franchise competetive again. The Giants Defense blows by all statistics except for sacks, and they have two super bowl rings in the last 5 years. So I'd say defense doesn't win championships anymore. Get your QB.
  23. What a bunch of whining. everyone in the same division should have as close to the same schedule. That's how you tell who is best in the division. The Bills haven't made the playoffs in the last 13 years because in all their rebuilding they never bothered to use their frst pick in the the first round on the most important position in professional sports.
  24. Even on the BYE week the Bills find a way to give up a big gainer and a 4th quarter turnover.
