  1. Au Contraire. The Mularkey jokes might be just beginning... has anybody considered the fact that nick saban didn't even let mularkey bring in his own offense? *AND MULARKEY SAID, 'OKAY'* I'll take the job... Oh, how the chin must be snickering at his old nemesis Donahoe...
  2. That is such B.S. Compare what the Broncos received last year, and who they lost, to this single 7th round pick, and who we lost. The NFL won't reveal their secret formula. You tell me...is there bias in the NFL offices?
  3. Yea, that *is* a really great set o' songs.
  4. That was the single worst call I've ever seen in a hockey game. The puck was clearly over the line. For about 2 seconds. The ref was right behind the net, looking right down on it. He signaled GOAL decisively, looking right at the puck. They reviewed it anyway. The anonymous men in black in toronto overturn it. You're not supposed to overturn a call unless there is definitive proof to warrant overturning it. Not only was there NOT such proof, the review UPHELD that the puck was clearly over the line, fully. Yet, no goal. You have to wonder...why is it that every controversial call involving a buffalo sports team goes AGAINST buffalo? I'm not talking conspiracy here. I'm talking bias. I'm talking about the lens through which certain officials see the game, the teams. Buffalo teams. It's either THAT, or a large statistical anomaly. You decide.
  5. i'm not at all afraid of a guy who has fumbled more times in his # of starts than Bledsoe. Culpepper doesn't scare me. Take away all his toss ups to moss and you have an average QB who took 2 years to get good at his offense...miami won't be world beaters this year...
  6. Think about it. It might very well have been a chemistry issue between JP and Ramsey. They were on the same team at Tulane. Do ya really think Ramsey would want to sign with a team if there was even a REMOTE chance that he'd sit behind the young street tough kid that was behind him in college? Spend some time on that one and the reason the Bills didn't bid for PRamsey should be obvious. I had read that they didn't get along real well either that year. I agree about one thing: Ramsey is underrated and hasn't been given a fair shot yet in the NFL...How about this quote: Ramsey deserves more respect Ramsey came out of nowhere to set a number of passing records in his first year as the starter - but the next year, hyped up QB J.P. Losman transferred in from UCLA. Losman was a high-ranked prep player (the 3rd QB overall), a Parade All-American, and the highest rated prospect that Tulane had ever signed. Tulane fans and coaches had already mentally replaced Ramsey before J.P. even took a snap. But Ramsey kicked Losman's butt in practice and on the field, and made it look easy. He was tougher on the field, had a better relationship with his teammates, and he was absolutely dedicated to the game. http://www.bendomenech.com/blog/archives/w...2004_02_08.html
  7. tidbit on fowler from the 2002 draft: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...yers/99632.html
  8. watson? why would the bills want that lazy, inconsistent sack o' curd? If they don't grab Ngata, I'd rather they wait till r3 to grab babatunde oshinowo.
  9. "revealing"? revealing what? Is Cindy Sheehan is your hero?
  10. another short view sheep. baaaah. every relevant dem agreed that the intel merited the move. the intel was bad. it's hard to argue that the war was a good move, *in hindsight*, but it was based on bad intel, not deliberate lies as your lemming head claims. your belief that she's a master of deception is sad and pathetic. she's done more good things than you'll ever dream of doing. go back to the La-Z-Boy and open a new bag o' chips.
  11. what do you have against condi? enthrall me with your acumen. it's amazing how many people minimize her accomplishments and integrity just because she's the appointee of a dud. if she was the appointee of a clinton, we'd already have streets in washington named after her.
  12. I agree with this, badol. The D was very good after that offseason, and we've sucked for years due to defensive failures. Can't argue with facts. But I'm addressing the team as a whole instead of bisecting it. The point is the Bills went nuts in FA and it wasn't enough. It wasn't enough because Donahoe didn't know how to build a team. Good GMs can do it in 2-3 years. He couldn't do it in 5. I used to be on his side, through 3 years of it, but he wrote his own legacy. My other point is simply that Levy is just getting started. I say this despite the fact that I wasn't thrilled with his hiring. It seemed sad and pathetic to me. But I like what he's done so far. I don't care about the fact that we haven't brought in any big names. Free agency is still young and there's a lot of team engineering left, cuts to be made across the league, etc. I'd rather give Marv the benefit of my considerable doubt than whine and cry in week 2 of FA just because we didn't pull off some miracle signings...remember, you armchair GMs out there...players also have to WANT TO SIGN WITH BUFFALO. You have no idea who they contacted and who expressed no interest in joining the team. It's not in Buffalo's interest to publicize which players gave them the cold shoulder, is it?
  13. Well, mr. awake (I'm sure you're just a new login for an existing user) remember how great our offseason was in 2002-03? Spikes, Adams, and then Milloy...? What good did it do us? How far did that offseason bonanza take us? Everyone was having a football orgasm after that 31-0 victory over the pats, who had done NOTHING in free agency except bring in a few no-names and role players. The Bills sank and missed the playoffs and the Pats won the super bowl. So far this year, the pats only signing is Reche Caldwell. They're letting their longtime stars go. They're even letting viniatieri, who has won so many clutch games for them, walk. And you're complaining about the offseason that marv is having in it's 2nd week? Milloy deserved to be cut because the guy never made any fuggin plays. Adams deserved to be cut because he never gave consistent effort. Marv is going to fix the offensive line. They have a plan, and it's going to take more than 2 weeks to execute it. Thankfully, they don't have whining, knee-jerking, impatient wannabe armchair GMs barking in their ear. Only we do.
  14. Gotta admit, I was really surprised to see this. But then again, all is not set until it's set. The Bills now have four thousand receivers: 1 Evans 2 Moulds 3 Reed? Davis? Parrish? Aiken? 7 J. Smith 8 George Wilson Then we have the draft, free agent rookies, etc. Surely Shirley there's no way we go into next season with this many WRs. Having Reed to a cap friendly deal gives the Bills some trade leverage in a season when many teams are WEAK AS HELL at that position. Look at the Pats. Unless they bring back Troy Brown, their starters are Deion Branch and Bethel Johnson. After that, it's unproven learners. The Jets need receivers. Miami could use a couple. And that's just in our own division. There are about 15 teams with real problems at WR. MORE reason to retain as many of them as we can. I think Marv is going to deal one, possibly more, on draft day or before draft day. Josh might just become a very good receiver one day, but I still don't think he'll be a Bill next year.
  15. wow, the jets got him for two chickens and a pig. I've always liked ramsey and think that his career was WRECKED by spurrier, who didn't quite get NFL protections, nor give it much weight. I'm surprised there wasn't more interest in him around the league. A 6th round pick? For a 1st round QB who is still young? Jeeez.
  16. Tom Golisano is a good man. On all the important levels. If he bought the Bills, I'd be thrilled. Ralph needs to retire. Have himself a Werther's Original. Read the Funny Papers. We should all hope for such a thing. It would guarantee the Bills future in Buffalo and we'd have one of the most successful western new yorkers of all time on our side. A guy who has succeeded in every major endeavor in his life.
  17. Gotta disagree with the sentimental view. ralph just embarrassed himself and the buffalo bills and he doesn't even realize it. people around the league are laughing...cuz the point is Ralph probably should NOT have even participated in the meetings. He should have hired or appointed a proxy to stand in for him. Someone in the organization or even a family member who understands what Ralph's interests are and who is smart enough about football matters to understand the finer points as they evolved. But no. Ralph wants to take a "more active role" in the organization. If you think that's positive for Bills football, then you're merely swimming in sentimentality. The man needs to step away from the game and let lucid professionals take care of all aspects of the biz.
  18. Ralph deserves what he's getting. He overestimates his mental acuity and should have had a proxy dealing with this issue. The man should go out properly and not let himself crash and burn like this. siding with mike brown is very telling.
  19. He's getting crushed right now by colin cowherd - a long, long take bashing ralph and making fun of the bills in general for their elderly leadership... right on the eve of free agency. that'll help us attract talent, for sure. a few people here are actually applauding ralph for this or that or whatever. the truth is, to say it was too complex is a joke. to side with mike brown and mike brown only shows how with it Ralph is. Sadly, Ralph has become a laughingstock, and his "increased involvement" with the operations will probably assure that we'll be in punchlines instead of playoff games. Weeeeee!
  20. we're still feeling the effects of that completely useless draft. that draft alone should call into question one of two things: 1. JB's ability as a scout/personnel guy 2. JB's character. Some have opined that he knew he was out and planted a schit bomb in the franchise.
  21. fOr some reason, I agree. I think JOsh is a classic case of a guy who will be VERY good with his second team. He had confidence issues but at the end of the season I think he showed what he can do. He'll be a dolphin for sure, and he'll be good. It'll piss us off when he doesn't drop balls and disappear in games. It's just the way of it.
  22. maybe it was decided before the interview was aired that they wouldn't discuss certain things. That's how it works.
  23. i dunno, i mean...will shields and laroi glover were released...how can you resist those guys?
  24. jokeman, there's no way in hell that winston justifies the 8 overall pick.
  25. that'll never happen. wouldn't be surprised to see jauron bring in mike brown if he's released.
