This draft Is a total bust EsPN Is Laughing at us
nodnarb replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How do YOU know what we could have done, and who we could have traded with? Do YOU know how the other teams' boards were stacked? Do YOU know how willing these teams were to make a trade? The answer to these questions is, of course, NO. And yet you spout off like a kid who had just had his first bottle of whiskey. -

Sure they make mistakes! Every year! (my god, am I speaking with a 5th grader?) Why is this so difficult to understand...? It's not that teams make mistakes... It's that YOU...and fans like YOU...are not qualified to judge whether they are mistakes or not. -

More drivel from somebody who thinks he knows what the other team's draft boards looked like cuz he watched ESPN. Go have a few more beers... -

This post says nothing. But I've read a couple of your other posts, and it's consistent with those. -
Is this what it feels like to be a Philly fan?
nodnarb replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You think I should respect your opinion? Bwahahaaa...I respect the opinion of Tom Modrak and Dick Jauron...but YOU? because you watched their games? Wow if that's all it takes to qualify you as a scout you should apply for a job somewhere. "Gee, I saw all the USC games, and Winston Justice should have been picked in the top 15" that's the essentially the same thing you're saying here. YAWN -
Most of you people would have cheered if the Bills had taken Winston Justice at #8. You would have been ecstatic if we had traded up in the late first to get him. And he's still on the board. Why? Cuz these teams and their staffs know more about these players than every one of us combined. They also know how to assemble players that FIT THEIR SYSTEM, and none of us do. There will be a lot of crow at the buffet at the end of the year or by the end of next year, when we know a lot more about the impact these guys will make. You can NEVER judge a draft on draft day. But you armchair draftniks know better, right? Please...what a joke.

Because you've read websites and you've become familiar with names and the bills don't have the names that you've come to be familiar with. You are not employed by an NFL team for a very good reason. What I hate is all the knee-jerk armchair draftniks who think they know what's best for the Bills. At least 25 asses have been self-made today. -

YOU are the joke. Let me guess your age: 19? If not, you certainly sound like you're about that age...less maybe? What does ESPN know? They thought Mike Williams was a stud and Levi Jones was a reach. Turns out the opposite is true. And that's just one familiar example among thousands. These guys are half filled with DISINFORMATION given to them by teams to meet their ends. Meanwhile, guys like you hear NAMES and read websites from non-professionals who are not employed by NFL teams and suddenly you think you have these players graded appropriately. Posts like this reflect ignorance and immaturity, but I'm not surprised at all. Mortensen is a Donahoe dupe -
You say he's a "reach" because you heard it on TV. Grow up, you don't know a tiny fraction about these players compared to what these teams know about them. And the talking heads are half full of disinformation. The Bills are drafting players to build a new system, and they're ecstatic about the guys they've got. Instead of overreacting like turds, maybe you should listen to what Levy and Modrak are saying about these guys and why they did what they did. Maybe you'll learn something. There's going to be a lot of crow eating by the end of the season.
-
Mort is a joke. You could so clearly see what was motivating him there. Mort thought that Winston Justice was a top 15 pick. I can't believe how many stupid comments I've read, and it's not even the 2nd round yet.

Looks like the Jets know what they're doing...
nodnarb replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey Joe, maybe you should apply for work in an NFL front office, cuz you apparently know more about what's best for this system than Dick Jauron, Tom Modrak, and Marv Levy, et. al... I'll bet you would have been happy if the Bills had spent thier #8 on Winston Justice, who is still on the board. We as fans only know a fraction of the information about these players. -
I'm done excoriating this pick
nodnarb replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
JoeSix, I really thought you were smarter than this. First, to day this was Marv shows an ignorance of the system with which they are selecting players. Second, this scouting staff knows the kind of players they need for this new system. Do YOU know better than they do? Many teams liked Whitner, and the Rams made it impossible to make the trade with the Broncos. I can't believe how you guys are judging this pick because most drafts had him between 10 and 20. You hear all these names every day and you think those names mean they're the right names. When Whitner makes game changing plays I'll remind you that you called this a wasted pick. If there's a joke in regard to this pick, it's the reaction to it. -
I love the way some try to put a postive spin
nodnarb replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What the fug do YOU know? Do YOU know what's best for this new system? SOme of you people make such asses of yourselves, it's incredible. When Donte Whitner changes games for us, I'll remind you guys that you thought this was a "disaster" -
That's total BS. You can't believe what CLAYTON says, he's ALWAYS wrong about the Bills...ALWAYS, and there's so much bluster and BS being thrown around, you have to believe what Modrak and Levy say about it. And they say that the trade opportunities weren't there? The Broncos knew they could make the trade with the Rams and get Culter OUT of the top 10, which diluted the Bills' position.
-
Ridiculous post. What do YOU know? Do YOU know more about building a team for this system than Jauron/Levy/Modrak? Talk about overreaction. The Rams destroyed the Bills chances of executing a trade with the Broncos. Teams know who other teams are going to take. The Broncos knew they could get Cutler by trading with the Rams, which allowed them to get their guy OUT of the top 10, which is also key. The Bills didn't have enough leverage to execute a fair value trade, so they took the guy they liked the most for their system. He's very good. Give these guys a chance. To ask for Tom Donahoe back is laughable.

what a bad column by pasquarelli
nodnarb replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
are you guys kidding? len is right on here. reggie bushes are the rarest of creatures. there's a mario williams at LEAST every other draft. If he's lucky, he'll be as good as Julius Peppers. Bush could be the best back in the NFL immediately. I'm so glad that I'm not a Texans fan. Cuz I'd probably be arrested for pelting Casserly's house with rotten eggs. And I'm not an egg-throwin' type o' guy. This blunder will be remembered for a decade, just like the Ryan Leaf blunder. In fact, Ryan Leaf is probably letting out a big sigh of relief, cuz from now on, when the subject of draft mistakes is brought up in the media, it won't be his name that's invoked first. unreal. -
The Texans just made a mistake that will haunt their football team for a decade. A Reggie Bush comes along once every twenty years if you're lucky. A Mario Williams exists in just about every draft. This is incredible. Tell you what...the Saints are jumping on their beds tonight, cuz they were just handed the draft's biggest lottery ticket in years.

why would they want to draft a guy with spinal stenosis? -
He is? When did he do that? He never "stockpiled picks" for the Bills...He did in 2001, once, and he traded up for Denney, who's a decent but non-impacting player, but to say he's particularly skilled at that is a tad strange. The Pats are the role model in that category. They know when a draft stinks and use it build toward next years' .
-
That's what I meant. I didn't mean to suggest that Donahoe was posing as 'the guy who scouted and drafted Randle El', but that ESPN implicitly portrayed him as such. I realize looking back now that the way I wrote it was ambiguous in that regard.
