  1. You are officially the most tedious poster in this place. Get a point, and make it once. If you can't do either, then please spare us your relentless self-puffery.
  2. All of them are "just stop"? All of them? There you go again. Should we conclude that based on this statement that you have the reading comprehension of a rhesus monkey?
  3. Way to cull only the segment that you're comfortable responding to. The point is the CONTEXT of the scene. Put your thinking cap on. They weren't there to ask him about his stellar performance in last week's game, or his take on the offense. It has been an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation for him. You might look a little squirrely too, Eliot. Similarly perhaps, the fact that you were swayed by some generalizations you found on the Web enough to pass them off as your own thoughts doesn't mean we should conclude that you're a simpleton and a plagiarist, either.
  4. Exactly. And you can't rule out the possibility of a money grab here...it most certainly happens out there.
  5. First of all, elegant eliot, those aren't "your" thoughts. Secondly, blanket analysis such as this does not validate itself. Gestures alone don't give you much - they're a part of a constellation of observations you would use to determine culpability, and even then, it's not an exact science. What I saw was a guy that was uncomfortable not because of some underlying guilt, as you are eager to assume, but because it's an uncomfortable situation. Having reporters and microphones in your face will likely make someone unaccustomed to that context very nervous, regardless of the circumstances. When you're nervous or anxious, you're prone to stammering, fidgeting, and other subtle gestures that can appear questionable to someone who is eager to interpret the gestures as questionable. The DA investigated. It won't be enough for some people, but time will heal that wound. And by the way, there were other witnesses who claimed that he never slowed down after the contact was made. So, I come to a different conclusion, and I'll assume that the DA did its job and came to the appropriate determination and commensurate punishment. I think you should, too.
  6. I'm speechless. This is the first time I've been choked up about a news anchor/figure. And not just because he was a huge Bills fan and I'm a hopeless homer for anyone in the public eye who is on 'our side'. He was the single best, smartest, and unbiased, no-BS anchor of our time. And he'll probably be replaced with a vacuous Connie Chung-type. Dammit
  7. They already did take care of him. He was happy when he signed the contract as a tackle, and one year and one probowl later and suddenly the Bills should have to throw away the "profit" from their winning bet on the come? BS. He's under contract for three more years. If you set a precedent like this it can have a domino effect. Maybe they will find a legitimate compromise, but Peters should be at camp, period.
  8. Yawn
  9. This last article about Tyree is a doozy. An article that didn't need to be written...part XXCVI
  10. He'll end up a Patriot. (checks his watch)
  11. Stupid *and* wrong - wow.
  12. I understand what you're saying, and I certainly respect your history with the team. Nobody is happy that this happened, and fans are reacting with different degrees of disappointment/concern perhaps because there has been such a widespread rash of off-the-field incidents this spring that ML's situation seems diluted in the mix. The story hasn't been told yet so I'm just going to reserve judgment until we know for sure what happened. But I'll say this: His eye surgery yesterday is going to be the butt of a few jokes, and the subject of some major eye-rolling, even though it was scheduled before the incident took place.
  13. ChevyVan: Marshawn's incident is making it hard for you to love the team? That's what I call a weak interest.
  14. I feel like I have a cartoonesque dark squiggly tornado thingy over my head every time I think about this. Lynch is really, really good. And so key to the offense being explosive and difficult to defend. I wonder what the worst case scenario is for him, assuming he was driving. But no matter what the story is, this will haunt his reputation as a person, and that's a real shame. It just doesn't seem consistent with the kind of guy we've all heard about/read about. I wish these young millionaires would realize that nothing good happens on the streets at 3:30 in the morning.
  15. Boob? Barnacle? Bullsh--? Bunyan? Bungalow? ?
  16. Mods? clean up on aisle R(edundant)
  17. BBFAN: "bedpost justice" that's a pretty damn good band name.
  18. I haven't said anything about this, but I'm really concerned about it. I'm disappointed that ML hasn't addressed it - it doesn't look good. Maybe he's getting bad advice from his attorney. I just hope he wasn't involved, because he might be the most important player we have. Our chances of success are lower if he's not around. And even if it ends up a four gamer or something like that, then he still has it hanging over him...
  19. interesting pun. intentional or accidental? (preferred vs common stock)
  20. so how would a "n00b fan" learn in your world? in this world, absurd questions/concerns are almost always met with sarcasm and chuckling. Not a big deal, yall.
  21. that's not the point. the point is, training camp hasn't even started, the guys aren't in pads yet, and he's concerned about a lack of INTs? If you don't see any humor or absurdity in that, then...then...then that's humorous and absurd.
  22. BillsD: May I ask how old you are?
  23. JP makes me, and every Bills fan I know, nervous. It's mainly his body language. He looks nervous and projects that anxiety. He's also had a bad habit of giving up the ball in critical situations. Trent looks more in control out there, and his calm projects. I have high expectations of him. Sumpin about the guy. Seems like a winner to me. I like JP, too. But as a backup. I don't believe that ANY team in the league would be interested in JP as "their guy".
  24. raising arizona, still one of my all time faves.
  25. Hey Willis: Your coach, and your team, will always be burdened by the fact that he systematically cheated. And as for you, what's it like being a d*ck?
